🥺🥺 thank you - really appreciate you saying that!

🔥💪❤️👊🙏
Invaluable advice, Matt. True sound direction with big impactful results.
Thank you my friend 🙏💪
Hey if I want to become better working with data what would you suggest I look at or study?
IMO start with financials and math. Combine it with knowledge about how each department in businesses work. And then learn from COOs / operators of businesses in the industry you’re focusing on.
Thanks for the video! Finding a good tool can be really hard. It’s even worse to have a bad spreadsheet or nothing at all. I took note of some tools you mentioned. I also really appreciated the point that a CRM isn’t just for managing inquiries-you can use it to track how your current clients are doing. I’m planning to set one up for the first time soon, so this was a helpful lesson for me. Thanks again for the video!
Glad it helped! Really appreciate the comment 🙏
Took a ton of notes, amazing video.
Thanks my friend 🙏

Thanks man!!

Legit the best video on how to build the foundation of a successful SAAS company.
Thanks so much 🙏👊
Value is going through the roof! 🔥
Thanks man!!
Love this! Turns goals into actual manageable tasks.
Love it Nick - can’t wait to see you grow 🔥🔥🔥
Matt just killed us with some immaculate wisdom. 🔥
Haha thanks ❤️ on a mission to share everything that others have shared with me!
I can never unsee it - thanks Matt!
How would you factor in churn, Matt?
Great Q - I’d factor it in at the revenue goal level. So if I think I’ll lose 5k/mo in churn and want to add 30k total to revenue, I’ll build the goals around generating 35k outta the gate
@@mattverlaque perfect - thanks! We actually turned this into a lead magnet, went live this week, have one completion already 🙌🏽
Amazing video, Matt! Thank you for sharing. We have been using culture index which is similar and it has been super powerful.
Thanks Marcio - glad to see it! Appreciate the note 🙏
Do things that don’t scale
The title of this video is one I've seen before, but this might have been the single most insightful video I've ever seen on hitting goals. Color me super impressed.
Thanks so much Jack - really appreciate that comment. Working hard to bring the fire 🔥
100% agree! I just sent this out to a friend and said, "This guy connected all the goal-setting dots I've ever heard in this one video." Way to deliver, Matt!
@@heysimonvilleneuve thanks so much Simon that’s awesome 🙏
Fire. Love how you've broken this down, Matt. AND, this hopefully helps founders/sales leaders/marketing leaders clarify which metrics they actually don't yet have a handle on. Because sometimes the constraint is not knowing (yet)
Thanks Chris - and totally agree - not knowing the numbers is usually the FIRST constraint
If you are managing a team of sales reps, should they own numbers that are a collective total for the team or should the metrics be broken down by rep? For example accounts sold.
Both - whoever is leading the team owns the team numbers, each rep owns their own numbers
@@mattverlaque It seems so simple after you write it out. Thanks!
I literally just did this before watching! I only went up to demos booked though, which is in fact definitely the limiting factor. Gonna take it even higher to get something actionable to hold the SDRs to. Thanks Matt!
Awesome - go get it 🔥
Matt dropping some HEAT! 📈
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏
Fucks an NDA?
An NDA, or Non-Disclosure Agreement, is a legal contract that requires parties to keep specific information confidential. It's commonly used in business to protect sensitive information.

Nice brother
Thanks man!
Absolutely Epic 🔥 Was like watching a short Netflix documentary!
Thanks dude, Cooper really nailed it
So cool to have gotten to document this 🏴☠️🎥
So much fun having you there man, nice work
Bro how damn dusty is you’re table
lol that’s just the design but I had to go back and look again first 😂
"The permission to innovate" is the part I loved the most, most companies don't do that, but the ones which do are ahead of the others! 💯
No doubt - gotta let ‘em know they’ve got the green light to fix things 🙏
Matt! I have totally reading the numbers during the meeting!! 🤦Thanks for that distinction! The point about permission is also gold!
Man we’ve all done it 😂 easy fix but changes EVERYTHING
Hey super noob question here. For SAAS specifically, are there good ways to track metrics for actual developers? I assume "lines of code" is poor because it creates a perverse incentive to type inefficient code. Or are there other videos you've all done or resources toward this? Thanks Matt!
I’ll check into a vid on this - I haven’t shot one yet. Agree on LOC being a weak metric. I’ve measured velocity, quality (new defects introduced, number of open defects etc), test coverage, and some type of user-focused grading such as NewRelic Apdex or similar.
@@mattverlaque very helpful! Thank you!
Hello my dear friend! thank you for the cool video! keep filming! I'll wait for new videos
🙏 thank you!
I can’t wait to read these 🤘🔥

Everything you described about a bad supervisor, describes all the worst supervisors I've had. I've also had a couple of great supervisors, and you described them as well!
