Hello all. join me in the quest of building my all time favorite bike the yz144! over the winter ill be rebuilding this 2019 yz125 and giving it a face lift for the summer!

It's possible that you've yet to test out the K8871 servo. But once you take the plunge, you'll discover how remarkable it is. Your mind will be blown away by its capabilities.

Flywheel and head make most difference. Apex head with XC insert made clearly noticeable lugging improvement. Like diesel engine on hills.
Did you have to mess with the subframe at all for the restyle kit?
@@EzEric first of all thanks for watching! nope the kit gives you a bracket that goes into the two holes already in your sub frame. Not drilling or modifications needed. It’s 100% reversible. The only thing is you may need to buy a small bolt kit. Mine was missing two square nut backers for the rear fender.

I sure hope Kawasaki and Honda realize they're missing out on a whole marker and bring 2 strokes back. I ride a YZ250X right now but I would love a KX250 2 stroke. Green is my color.

Who cares who’s faster. Those are all 3 badass cars. And you guys looked like you had a good time. That’s all that matters. I have an XRT too, an orange one. But the places and areas I have available to drive, I’m wishing I would have gotten the XMaxx instead.
100% agree. its always just for fun! Anyone one of these cars are a hoot to drive.
@ I have the XRT, an orange one. Got it about a year ago. But I find you need much more room to drive it than I originally realized. I have an acre of property, but lots of obstacles. Trees, landscaping boulders, etc. I find myself driving my 1/10 scale stuff mostly. And my 4s Arrma outcast when I really wanna blast. 😎
At least you got your XRT in the right color. I, too, got mine in orange😊

I have the xrt and I like it more because we have a flattish dirt field. Not many jumps, and the Xmaxx kept rolling over on me at speed. Great car though.

@@SleekHobbies88 it ended up being the dog bone pin right at the diff cup and nothing else. And im sure a little better driver would have helped but we can all agree that there are just some rc cars that feel cursed with issues and driver error or not this Kraton is strong and weak in the most random ways.

Do you shift without the clutch????
i never use the clutch. all the schools ive been to take it away/off the bike when training. really only use it for starts and hard breaking.

What did u do 2 the motor mount 2 make it fit i got the same setup
Radiolink gave me a ton of issues, I thought my stuff was cutting out but it was the radio or receiver nobody could ever figure it out including radiolink.
Looking to switch from a 250r to a yz 125, can I ask what common thing to look out for? I have never ridden a 2 stroke before.
@@kunsunrethy youll just have to ask a lot of questions. If they don’t have answers then you know the bike wasn’t really maintained, yz125 are super fun to ride but you have to scream them and shift a lot to ride in the power.
is the limitless running 8s?

Will you buy the official GYTR kit for YZ 125 ? is it better to save up 3000, sell the 125 and buy the YZ 250 ?
i have both yz250 and yz125 i ride motocross mostly i personally love the yz125 better! the bike may not be as fast but i can ride hard until the end of the moto. im thinking about going to the 144 kit and trying that out. video out soon!

the reeds smoothen out the power down low for sure
Definitely makes difference my v force 3 reeds made my bike an extra horsepower
Waste of money....been there done that...advertising hype. Put all ya stock gear back on-then give us your thoughts
what brand stand are you using. some of those you still have to lift the bike because they don't go low enough to roll it under the bike.
@@randytidwell5836 it’s a princess auto model in Canada. And you don’t have to lift the bike it rolls right under my 250f and 250.

Nice bike mate. Correct me if I'm wrong but at the track sounded like you have a "hanging" idle.I got one a few weeks ago with tranny issues. Did a full rebuild and changed damaged transmission parts. Did same thing and had to play with jetting and air screw.
Yeah is was like 36-38 degrees that day but we don’t get that hot often so I just left it

My max 6 blew up on mine
Funny 121mph My first real speed build is the infraction v2 but changed everything in the car. Would have save money if i just built it from the ground up. Anyways i hit 121mph 3 times with decent runs. Then changed pinion and battery and hit 124mph but crashed it. Rebuilding it now with almost 100% scorched parts.
turn off low voltage cut off and change ends on batteries and esc to 8mm connectors and run good batteries ....i have seen your combo go 128 .
I'm running max 6 1650 g2 8s limitless 33/39 no motor timing 121mph
Yeah I almost got that combo but I know it could see 130 but I had a tire failure 😔
my combo was pulling the battery voltage into cutoff too i did everything i told you and picked up another 12mph

I had a similar issue with a limitless v1 spool in my v5 typhon but it also bent my 1520 motor shaft....took me a while to find the issue with the shaft....
