Fix 14 cup Cuisinart jammed bowl interlock mechanism

If your 14 cup Cuisinart food processor won't start because the prong will not push down the interlock mechanism, try using WD40 with a spout, spraying the metal part near the top of the bowl. It should now work and the processor will run correctly. You could also put bowl in dishwasher for a cycle and see if that clears the jammed mechanism.

This Bosch dishwasher crockery basket had tines that collapsed with a load of Fiesta dishes, making cleaning impossible. Using 11" zip tie, you simply wrap tie around tines and pull tight. You can glue if ties fall during wash cycle. This is better than spending $160 for a new basket including tax and shipping!

Xemxija underground mill is one of eight such mills built in the 1950s as part of improving Malta's ability to survive a war. During WWII, Malta was 10 days away from surrender due to dwindling supplies of food, fuel and ammunition. Seven of these mills are found in Malta and one in Gozo. The one in Xemxija was restored recently by a group of volunteers.

Hi Dennis, I have a Cuisinart little pro and the top of the container has come out of the groove and I can’t twist it to take it off of the motor or off of the container at the bottom and wondering if you have any ideas for me?
I actually split sprayed though the spring system and it all came off! Thank you I did, however, I use Kirkland cooking spray made out of canola oil - - thanks for the great base idea

Thanks. Just tried this. Mine still doesn't work and I also have a terrible time adding and removing the bowl every time I use it.
I just had to replace the lid $38 because a small white plastic piece broke off that goes between the narrow plastic cover for the white rod on the bowl. The bowls should turn into place easily with a snap. Might add some petroleum jelly on parts and see if it works better. ruclips.net/video/Of5J3clXuGc/видео.html

@@dennisfurbush9413 I've discovered what the problem is on mine - it's extremely hard to get the bowl totally locked in - when I can, it works fine - but shouldn't be that hard. I have to really slam it.

this circus played in my home town of oxford nc in 77 or 78......i took 3 pictures and one of them is a pic of my son and the clown in the black and red checker board outfit.......i also have a king bros. poster from back then.....my son was about 4 year old.....he is now 48 year old

@@dennisfurbush9413 意思個電車司機，一有機會停車上落客時，或交通燈轉紅燈時：這電車司機就會拿自己所買的飯盒放幾口飯落口，之後上落完客或轉綠燈時就放抵飯盒繼續開車。因為當年電車公司Hong Kong tram Ltd Co未有安排電車司機有用膳時間，電車司機只好買定一個飯盒一路開車一路見有機會停車稍等時放幾啖飯落口，所以佢地買的飯會選擇冇骨的餸為主，就是為安全設想：

Mine doesn't get jammed until after I connect the interlock mechanism to the bowl. It goes down just fine until I twist the lid onto the bowl. At that point the interlock mechanism gets stuck and won't go down
I would add some mineral oil or WD40 to the visible parts of the interlock mechanism as when you close lid, it should push down the white rod in the bowl so the motor can start.
@@dennisfurbush9413 Only as an anonymous person on the Internet could I make this true confession: I had the dang lid on backwards! Finally figured it out. Duh. Thanks for posting this and trying to help other people out.

@@lokipokey I don't understand - how did you put it on backwards? Do you mean you had the neck in the front instead of the back? I have trouble all the time getting my jar/bowl on and off and set up to work.

I bought one of these recliners used. It reclines well, but something doesn't feel quite right, as if something in the mechanism may be loose. I think I'll start by checking the mechanism has no loose bolts. Hopefully the whole mechanism doesn't need to be replaced as I'm sure that would cost a fortune for a new mechanism.

Agree, if you can place mineral oil inside the interlock mechanism, using a syringe? But this interlock mechanism is not in contact with the food area.

One of the springs on the foot mechanism broke on my chair. Where can I find a replacement spring? I have had not luck searching online.
I bht footrest mechanism from manufacturer, Design within Reach and installed per instructions in video. Don't recall where the springs were.

I was born & raised in Dubuque untill I was 8 years old. Then we moved to Tennessee. But I remember this so vividly!
