What i got from this movie is that we get too caught up in trying to figure out who is the wolf and who is the victim but the truth is, people are just people, doing what they think is best, no one is evil.

I often tell people. If they want a movie centered around a Stormtrooper from Star Wars or a SS Trooper from well real life. This film kind of fills that void. A void that sadly needs filled but is a subject not touched upon. I love twist at the end of the film as well.

I've only watched this movie twice first time I was a teenager and the second was 4 or 5 years ago and I recently watched Pluto on Netflix and this movie popped into my head several times while watching it, I may need to watch Jin-Roh again to see why.

Personally i don't believe Madotsuki REALLY dies at the end of the game. I think that it's just another dream, mostly because of one reason: the small staircase that just... shows up in the real world. Like how did it get there? Madotsuki was sleeping the whole time and it just magically appears once she drops the effects. Also the jellyfish showing up also supports this considering they were already strange in the game normally and just happen to show up once she jumps and "dies".

I didn't quite understand the story... guess I'll have to re-read it.

isn't DevilMan crybaby a time loop and every show is just a new loop. you could look at the show like that from old to new each new show is just another time loop. maybe one day we will get another adaptation where Ryo finally understands to love humans and Akira and Ryo live a good ending.

The only reason i hated Hathaway more is because i actually hate the character of hathaway. The stupid treasonous simp. A dead girlfriend turning him into an eco terrorist is dumb writing anyways. so glad you made this video! personally i like the amon apocalypse movie better than crybaby even though crybaby was my introduction into devilman. i feel like the grotesque sexual scenes really put me off on a story about the self destruction of the world. i think the movie really captures the souless, and hopeless horror of destruction better than crybaby because of its destractions. both endings are a 10/10, i just think that the everything else about crybaby was hard to watch,,, even the artstyle. i love how in the movie, all the way to the end, theres really no hope at all, neither akira or ryo even die, it leaves you feeling empty which i love. and crybaby leaves you with a similar empty, crushed feeling too. but this time, although its too late, there was hope for ryo. and when god sends his angels to reset the earth, it just leaves you (ill say it again,) empty. i do actually like the crybaby ending more, because the final destruction of earth that god sends really ties it into a neat and terrifyingly tragic bow. the fact that in all adaptations, god didnt send his angels to intervine like he did with the dinosaurs/demons (shown in that one series with the finny dub), really is tragic to think that he just simply gave up, and destroyed his creation. thats all now, sorry for such a long ramble but thank you to all who read ♡
