This is a condominium in Costa Del Este. This area is considered one of the expensive areas to live in with their own mall and shopping plazas, a plethora of restaurants, a couple bars, and very family friendly. I paid $700 a month to rent a room here, inclusive of all bills, a couple toiletries, and a weekly cleaner. The views are phenomenal and the apartment is spacious. A video of me walking...

Food Delivery, you mean groceries from the supermarket?
Nope! I meant Uber Eats.

Your music is too loud. Itmakes it difficult to hear you. Music is supposed to be background! Bye! Can’t finish!
Was this $700 an Airbnb?
No, I found this in the Young Expats Facebook group. Multiple people post about finding roommates.
@@akilwalton7658 thanks for the quick reply. I saw the other video about the apartment. That explained much. Nice your. I have never stayed in coste del este but it reminds me of south Florida where I live infrastructure wise. I normally stay in the city center around Avenida Balboa when I am in Panama.
@@dougscott188 No problem! Though I have stopped making videos I like responding to the comments. And probably you should venture out and try staying in Costa Del Este for a bit. I always hear how much Panama City it self reminds people of Miami. 😅
@@akilwalton7658 that’s good you stay connected to the comments. Maybe you can get back to the videos in the future. ✌️
@@dougscott188 That’s what I keep telling myself, and hence why I haven’t deleted the page. 😅
$208 a week
Weird! - this is not for most people! There is Public transportation everywhere. When I go to Panama I use the Metro, Uber Eats - Really? -
What is weird? Also, nothing is for everyone. This is information based on what I did at that time.
Lol the water pressure depends on the home, the hot water is not fully accurate either. Depending on the home. The toilet paper flushing is not accurate either. 😂 Many homes you can flush the TP. All the big cities in Mexico have tons of American chains. Many restaurants have English menus, especially Progreso. Living in Mérida for 2 months does not give you the proper time to see what its really like. 😂 Otherwise not bad. 😊
SUPER helpful, gracias amigo. As a seasoned Mexican traveller, try to learn some Spanish, Mexicans appreciate it and will show that appreciation. It’s not that hard, get Duolingo. FYI Canadians, there’s even a BP’s in Merida so you can overpay for crap food and service, just like home!
You are my Bajan kin
I SAW YOUR MERIDA VIDEO. SAYING TO MY SELF "YOU GOTTA BE FROM BARBADOS " WELL ILL BE!! THE GLASSES REMINDED ME OF MY GREAT GRANDMA. SHE WAS BORN IN ST PHILLIP, CHRIST CHURCH AREA. YOU HAVE TO BE RELATED!! HOW WILD WHO IS VIVIAN WALTON TO YOU? SHE MATCHES ME ON ANCESTRY VIA BARBADOS
😂 I do not know any Vivian Walton’s.
What were you talking about $200? That first place alone is $1000 a month
I meant in reference to how much I spent for my week long stay. Not a month long stay.
Good vid. I have been living and still in Mexico (MEXICO CITY, CDMX-DOWNTOWN, BELLAS ARTES, REFORMA etc.), since March 2013. Mexico it is awesome.
Thanks! I can’t wait to actually visit Mexico City.
What this place name
Hi Tashika, the name of the apartment building is Top Towers in Costa Del Este. But I do want to note they are many other nice apartments for cheaper as well. I am currently about to leave Panama and I was renting one across the street from Parque Omar for $950 USD. 90 to 100 sqm, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully furnished.
Damn i need to find a "friend" LMAOOO. informative vid
It was and still is a friend. Hahahhaha I am happy to hear it was informative. Thanks!
Thank you

I love your accent & spirit. but thsts expensive for Panama 🇵🇦
Thank you! 😅 I know it’s expensive for Panama. I was living that high life for those couple months.
have to ask, do you work a remote job that allows you to live outside the US? great video
I have since changed jobs, but I worked remotely for a company in Barbados.
Thanks for the video. What’s the name of that bar where y’all started dancing n just kept dancing as the bottles were breaking?

Rent of apartment?
Hi Hi I did not place the prices because I found and booked them via Airbnb. I placed the links to those in the description for ease. Hi its very nice the hotel how much do you pay for a 2 bedrooms and are you close to the beach because i love the ocean thank you and enjoy your stay.
Hi, it was residential condominium building and not a hotel. That apartment is in an affluent neighbourhood and cost $1300 a month. But they are cheaper apartments around the city such as where I currently live for $950 USD for a two bedroom, two bathroom, fully furnished.
However, there isn’t a beach too close to Panama City. You will have to rent a car and drive a couple hours away to find a beach.
What's the cost for these apartments
Hi Cameila! To rent a full one on your own starts from $1300 USD and up, but I rented a room for $700 a month.
Nice❤
Thank you for sharing!
Wtf I PAY 1,200 dollars for a tiny room that's looks like a closed 😭
You can live in Panama City for less than $2000, no problem. You can also spend a lot of money going out eating and partying.
Lovely!! but music too loud I like hearing you talk… 😘
Thanks for the advice!
Its a beautifull place to live.

HI, i’m thinking on moving on this building. Do you think the area was noisy because its near to the main roads and businesses? Hope you can help me. I’ve been reading really bad reviews because of the noise 😫
Hi Hi Costa Del Este isn’t noisy to me at all really, but this around the area of Top Towers was noisy because of the main road yes. And the windows and doors do not keep ALL of the noise out. However, that did not bother me too much and I work from home. I am a heavy sleeper, so that was fine. And sometimes my coworkers heard the sirens and car honking over the Zoom calls. My conclusion, yes it is noisy but on Sundays and late at night all you will hear are the birds. 😅 I hope this helps!

Hi William, Thanks for the comment. I didn’t put the prices since they were on Airbnb hence why I placed those links in the description. However, the third location is no longer listed as it is on a long term lease for $900USD per month. 1st: $208 USD for 6 nights. 2nd: $600 USD for a month (but I got this with at 70% discount, so it will be higher now). 3rd: $500 USD per room for a month.
That’s fine thanks
Caribbean people have a distinctive accent.
Fun video, Akil. You have a great spirit. The longer I've been in Panama City, the more I figure out how to eat healthy, have a great time, and save cash. There are a lot of treasures in this city.
Thank you so much! I will do that.
So, let's get this straight. International Living claims you can retire to Panamá on 1000 a month, that's obviously utter BS if you don't want live in the jungle. Second, I'm happy you got someone to drive you around, cars, gas is expensive in Panama. You have no kids who need school, clothing etc. You are not elderly who needs medicare. You are a young man having fun traveling which is fine, but don't ever confuse that with living in Panama as an expat or in any other country for that matter. Panamá is expensive.
Hey Nick 👋🏾 Oh yes! Living under $1000 USD in Panama City is not something I believe people would move here to do unless they have free accommodation. The second part I don’t understand but yes Panama is expensive in comparison to other Latin American countries, however it is cheaper than Barbados and most of the Caribbean. Thanks for the watch and comment!!
You can live in outside of Panamá City for $1000, plenty of Panamanians do.
