    Crazy to think that computer code runs the same way. On 'repetitive loops' just like the rotary nature of this automata. Truly remarkable to see the connections between modern technology and old world techniques.

    The table has 2 little holes, when the chinese doll covers the space with the tea cup, the ball comes out from the table and it intercalates the rythm of the magic trick.

      Right ! If you look at his left hand (on the right), you can clearly see that the ball does not lift deep enough in the bowl and so, it is partly apparent...

    thank you popper666 and rodwill achar for your comments ,let me assure you that the mechanics for the balls are all mechanical ,no electro magnets or vacuum tubes. i would tell you how i did it but it would take the magic away. the head and hands were first sculpted in super sculpy ,then a mold was made and it was cast in pvc plastic .i did it this way to make it lighter
