Hi! My name is Roman! I am a digital artist and I create my own original characters and creatures often inspired by the natural world or aspects of horror. On this channel you can find series such as UN-KNOWN, where my pal Luke and I talk about all things niche, mysterious, or downright random. Also featured here are various month long art challenges such as Chaoctober or Apoctober where the goal is to create a new work of art with a theme each day of the month. Finally, I’ll also upload “poster reveals” which are created to showcase posters encapsulating certain periods of my life. My channel features all of this and more, like my undergrad final project “PALEOZOA”, which includes a gallery of “paleoart”. This is art meant to reconstruct what Earth’s ancient life looked like based on the latest scientific evidence. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope something catches your attention!

such an amazing video! all of these illustrations are gorgeous, although if i had to pick a favorite it’d probably be the permian :). the atmosphere of all of these is so striking and the way it slides between scenes brings back memories of the train ride at disneyland when you get to look at all the ancient life. i loved your art!

Cool vid. I'd just like to point out that ammonites are actually Devonian in origin (technically the ammonites appeared in the Jurassic, but the ammonoids, which includes the ammonites, appeared in the Devonian). Still a very cool drawing.

The various feelers covering Crassigyrinus's body are fantastic speculation, especially considering the murky freshwater swamps and marshes it lived in. Would have certainly helped to be able to feel your prey moving around you in the water as you swam.

@@romanwetlandanother thing I also like is that you included species that I myself have never heard of before. And I know a lot of extinct animals.
@@minthantlin9168 I tried to be as accurate as possible buy including 3 animals found in generally the same area/formation at the same time. I have no formal education in paleontology though so I tried my best!
@@romanwetland You seem to be pretty accurate, although Phragmoceras and Nerepisacanthus are from different formations within the Bertie group. The Cameroceras might be too big though, but I can't tell exactly.
