How do I turn the thermostate off? Do I hold down the on/off button or press twice and hold on the button? And how do I know if the thermostate is off? Failing that how do I take the batteries out?
I thought we had mice!😫
Nice video. My clutch is blocked and not turning and one of the clamps if sticking out, might be i turned too much. Any tips on how to repair? Thx in advance:)
Most probably clutch is blocked for a reason (with a pin). It is very rare situation clutch would be broken.
@ thanks for the reply:).Maybe I need to clarify a bit. I had taken out the head. When I wanted to put it back in I might have turned the clutch a bit too much, and now its stuck and i can see one of the clamps stick a bit out so that i cant put it back with the pin. It there a way to dismantle reset the clutch so it turns and the clamps work? Thx again for you help:)
@@GS1nOnly OK. Just hold the head in one hand and with another turn the clutch clockwise till the end till clamps releases. Holding like this, mount the head and after it is mounted release the clutch. Did it helped?
What`s the logic of the DU mode if there is a radiator in the room. Does anything change in the operating scheme? Are the set temperature values on the thermostats for underfloor heating and radiators synchronized?
dU= Dual mode. The thermostat controls a radiator and floor heating circuit(s). Floor heating circuits assures min. floor temperature and the radiator is used for peak load. It only works if you have connected radiator with thermal actuator (as. an example Danfoss TWA-K) to Icon Master Controller output and selected it as "FAST" heating. Underfloor heating actuator also has to be connected to Icon Master Controller output with selection "SLOW" heating. Let's say we have now #1 output - Radiator heating, #2 output Underfloor heating - and those outputs are programmed to one room thermostat Icon RT with IR sensor. Icon RT with IR has to be mounted to have possibility to measure floor temperature. It can not be placed above floor without underfloor heating pipes installed. During operation in case there is a heat demand Icon MC will open underfloor heating circuit first, will measure floor surface temperature and will decide if radiator heating is need to have desired temperature on time.
@@heatingsolutions123 So this function has nothing to do with the eTRV thermostat on the radiator (as an example Danfoss 014G2460)? It only controls the heating actuator on the manifold? Is this correct?
@@realyenman Yes. Icon RT has nothing to do with eTRV 014G2460 It is dedicated for underfloor heating actuator control. For eTRV remote temperature measuring there is a sensor 014G2480.
Thank you for all the great guides :) However, I have a problem that I can't find a solution for. My thermostat shows the ER06 the NET ERR. Your video was so clear and thorough thank you! I just have a question. I used your video yesterday to set my thermostat on holiday mode. I set it to 16 degrees celcius. I live in a new build building and the rooms are warm even with no heating (around 19 degrees). I come back from holiday on Friday. I am scared that holiday mode will malfunction by itself and the radiators will get too hot and explode or cause a fire. Do you think this can happen or do you think it is safe on holiday mode?
Holiday mode is nothing special. It is just an easy way of setting a temperature. It is good, house is well insulated as it keeps 19C for a long time. 16C is safe temperature for most of buildings. If you have some doubts there might be some problems with electricity, gas supply, heat supply ... Thermostat or system with remote control could be an option. I would then recommend: Danfoss Icon 2 or Devi SMART thermostat. ruclips.net/video/zIZuP63CJY4/видео.html ruclips.net/video/vcQJ8Ch77sc/видео.html
So basically Manual mode for me 😂
This one is most commonly used:)
I gathered, thanks. I think you’ve saved a lot of people a lot of frustration. Appreciate this video.
this is so helpful thank you! if i turn on holiday mode then will it stay on until i turn it off or will it turn off automatically?
Holiday mode works only on manual on and off. Unfortunately there is no timer for it.
@@heatingsolutions123thank you! so if i have it on manual and on holiday mode then it will only turn off when i turn it off?
@@simrankainth5458 turning thermostat off with button on top will switch it to frost protection mode. Usually 5°C. Use M button to switch it to "suitcase" - holiday mode. Or if you are using Manual temperature control, just go down with temperature setting to let's say 16°C. Or lower setting, but lower is not recommended to wood furniture or covering.
@@heatingsolutions123 i have switched it to holiday/suitcase mode using the M - my question is will it stay on suitcase mode until i come back from holiday and take it off suitcase mode by myself? thanks! i want it to stay on suitcase mode while i am on holiday but i am scared it will turn off automatically
Hello thansk very very much. Small question: Is it wrong if my mark is not exactly in front from my perspective like in yours case. In my case is almost on side. From upper view yours is straight on 6 hour in my on 8/9 on left side.
Hi! It might happen mark is not exactly in front. There is no problem if so.
@heatingsolutions123 Ok. Thanks a lot. Just for my understanding: Mark position dosnt matter at all? For example can be on back, some on side? All idea is to find it and line up it with number (1-7) or N we want?
@@kristofp3350 Mark position should be visible from front or side. Main idea is a you say, to line it up with number 1-7 or N. N is factory setting, so marking will be lined to N
Really useful video, as the device is very confusing. I was not sure how to set it up at all because no instructions provided, so the temperature dropped in the middle of the night or randomly during the day and I didn't know why, seems schedule mode was set but now I know how to set it on manual, thanks!
Thanks for your feedback! I’m glad the video was helpful and that you were able to figure out!
@@demoix how do you switch it to over ride timed without having to go to boiler to change over
@@Youdolooklovely Not sure what you mean, but I set mine on manual mode on thermostat for 20c all day and night and left boiler on all the time, which basically what I want in winter to keep the same temperature all the time. Wow! This a dark art! How did Danfoss get into this ridiculously complicated situation!?
Thanks for your comment! It might seem like a 'dark art' at first glance, but it's actually about precision and efficiency.
if you switch off the power button does that mean the heating will not turn on apart from frost protection if its off?
Yes, you are right. Heating will turn on only at frost protection temperature is reached.
How do i do no timer just the heating comes on and off when i turn it on and off 🤷🏻♀️
Just go to service menu, hold "M" for 6s. Select P01 01 - Manual temperature operation. Selecting higher or lower temperature with < and > comparing to measured will turn your heating on and off
So I have followed what you have done and the setting is on number 4. What does that mean? Can I solve this at all
Sorry, I do not understand the issue. Could you explain in more detail?
Hi, when setting timers do you have to choose 4 times a day for heating to come on? I want it to come on just morning and evening
Hi, 4 times change will give you morning and evening heating. Lest say morning 1time (6:00, 22C) 2 time (8:00, 20C) - it means you have used 2 times, but higher temperature will only be from 6:00 till 8:00 (22C). Same with evening.
I don’t know what to do, it is stuck on vacation mode and none of my buttons are working and it doesn’t stay on as in once I click power on button it stays on for about 3-6 seconds please help
I can only suggest to reset it: ruclips.net/video/5fzT1mMkY7g/видео.htmlsi=sO_CVrOiZKxadF1- If this does not help, you need a new one.
My controllers show the error “net”. What shall I do? The master control has no lights.
Is there all ok with mains supply? Is there electricity comming. If yes, MC probably is "dead" :(
I have the error “net” in all my wireless controllers. The master controller seems to be completely off, meaning no lights or anything happens when I press the buttons.
It seems Master Controller is "dead" probably you need a new one :(
@ thank you for the information! I think so indeed. I’ll tell the landlord to replace it! 😅
Is it possible to use Icon 1 wireless thermostats with Icon2 MC?
Sorry. No. It is not possible to use Icon1 thermostats with Icon2 MC.
Way to overly complicated, what happened to the simpler days struggling with this thermostat atm
I would then: activate display back light to be on, hold "M" for six sec. and select P01 - 01. You will have Manual temperature adjustment. With < > select temperature you want. Thermostat will maintain it.
Hi, small problem. Floor does not heatup more than 15,5°C. Danfoss thermostat used with Devicomfort 150T 1,5m² 230V underfloor heat mat. Any suggestions?

In this video after you entered programmins you skip P01, for what is tha program and what means values 01 and 02 for P01?

I’ve set the boiler to run only in the morning and evening, but it’s still operating outside of these scheduled times. Any idea how to fix this, i have selected 24hrs
Hi, I would select then: P02 02 - ON/OFF standart operation. Boiler is ON till set temperature is reached. and P03 01 - Normal start control. Out of all of these settings: P01 01 - Manual temperature operation P01 02 - Schedule timer 5/2 day P01 03 - Schedule timer 24h P02 01 - ON/OFF Load compensation is enabled. ON/Off load compensation is a feature of temperature control products such as room thermostats and programmable thermostats. On/Off load compensation is a proven method of minimising energy use by calculating the demand from a thermostat. As the temperature approaches the required setting, the boiler will fire for shorter periods of time, ensuring a constant temperature is maintained. This not only enhances comfort levels, but also uses less energy. On/Off load compensating products are ideal for use with modern systems in well-insulated houses. Recommended for use with gas condensing boilers. Thermostat prevents boiler working for too long period of time. In this way, the heating works more efficiently, as the return temperature of the heating return is lowered. Condensation is better. Less gas is consumed. P02 02 - ON/OFF standart operation. Boiler is ON till set temperature is reached. P03 01 - Normal start control. P03 02 - Delayed start of heating. TP5001 thermostat includes an optional delay start feature to hold off the heating for a time on mild days when the room temperature at the start of an event is close to the programmed value. Recommended for use with gas condensing boilers in order to use less gas. In other words, it is an economic mode. P03 03 - Optimised start control. TP5001 thermostat includes an optional optimum start control. This feature allows you to set the time at which you require a room temperature by. The thermostat then calculates how soon before the event time the system must be turned up to ensure that the room is at the temperature by the required time. Heating can be started maximum 120 min before schedule. P04 - Temperature limitation high P05 - Temperature limitation low P06 - Frost protect temperature P07 - Away mode temperature P08 01 - Timer display 24h P08 02 - Timer display 12h P09 - Service due setup. Good day, I reset my Danfoss, now on Icon App shows only the rooms from 1st Floor not from 2nd Floor. Kindly assist me please.
Hi, OK. This is not easy, but manageable. If you have got Icon first generation MC and you are using Icon App. And you have made reset on Icon first floor master. You need to do this: 1.) reset Icon master second floor controller too 2.) reset 2nd floor all room thermostats 3.) disconnect all actuators and room thermostats if wired from 2nd MC 4.) if you have wired connection then leave 2nd MC in place, if you have radio connection. dissmount and take 2nd MC closer to 1st floor MC (1 meter distance). Both has to be with Radio modules. If wireless system Wireless connection of up to three Danfoss Icon™ Master Controllers 24V requires a Radio Module with each Master / Slave (pic. 11). Pairing System Master and Slave in both wired and wireless systems Note! Slave Controllers must be assigned as System Slaves before assigning outputs and thermostats to them. 1. On the selected system master, press to select INSTALL mode and press OK. 2. On the system slave, press and hold for 1,5 sec. The display now toggles between SLA TYPA and SLA TYPB. 3. Press to choose between the two slave types and confirm with OK. See “Slave type definition” section for explanation. 4. Repeat step 1-3 to assign a second Slave Controller to the system (max. two slaves are permitted). Instruction is here: assets.danfoss.com/documents/157226/AN29434614196101-000402.pdf Good Luck! For better result increase supply temperature. Thermal camera will help to find faster.

You can switch to holiday mode or frost protection mode, or simply you can go down with temperature. Or with ON/Off button.
Can u make it simpler lol
Sorry, It is how it is :(
So helpful! This saved me because I couldn’t understand a single thing until this video. Great work and much appreciated! 👏

I schedule the temperature But on the display it shows Monday to Sunday. I can’t have only Saturday/Sunday shows like in your videos. How can you do it as I would like the schedule different from Monday to Friday and Saturday/sunday? Thanks
Which one did you chose: P01 01 - Manual temperature operation P01 02 - Schedule timer 5/2 day P01 03 - Schedule timer 24h Should be: P01 02 - Schedule timer 5/2 day
Is there an app I can download that can do all this controlling?
Only 24V or wireless Icon thermostats connected with Icon controller can be controlled by an App. ruclips.net/video/52wKnb-YC9A/видео.htmlsi=O8w5O3FeVaIm02FC or ruclips.net/video/zIZuP63CJY4/видео.htmlsi=2w8AIaDGEIBDauwe
My thermostat doesn't show the up and down arrows when connected, nor heating icon at the top. Do you know any possible reason for that?
