OvertonFancies
Добавлен 25 июн 2014
The bulk of OvertonFancies is fiber arts. I love to create whimsical crochet patterns. My kids love dragons and fantasy creatures so that has driven a lot of my creativity. How to videos are my preference. Having 7 children, teaching just comes naturally.

This is an introduction to the product of my newest dragon crochet pattern. I just finished my Mercury dragon and I am so happy with him. How to Crochet Dragon Nostrils
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.4 года назад
This shows how to make the nostrils on Echo the Air Dragon. I use this technique on many of my other patterns as well. My patterns are available at OvertonFancies on Etsy.com. Correction: For Echo on the side of the nostril after you fold it you place one stitch at the corner and then only one more on the side not two.

Wow 😍 beautiful dragon ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m trying to do your dragon pattern and I’m confused on why it’s says ‘ss around’ does that mean I go into the other half with ss or just keep going back and forth
And if I do just keep going back and forth then that is a lot of rows haha
When it says to ss around (a) ch that means the turning chain from the beginning of step "a". Here is a video link that shows doing a sc around a chain. You would just do a ss instead: ruclips.net/video/6YmFRv2iR94/видео.html The abcd portion is done back and forth. The other half will not be worked until the abcd portion is done. This builds up one side to help turn the curve.
I would love the pattern. I have one of my Mother’s topsy turvy doll, that is from 1930. Please do a video
Pretty!
This was attached to my pattern but thats not what the instructions say to do it says 30 ch50 and it has not turned out to look like this at all
message me on Etsy with pictures of where you are having trouble and I will walk you through it.
Interested
So cute!
Bonjour, j'essaie de crocheter ce magnifique dragon,j'ai un souci au nv des pattes arrière. Qu'entendez vous par la phrase : sauter mc ? À partir du 47 ème rang. Bonne fin de journée 😉
That just means to skip 1 slip stitch
Absolutely adorable can you do a crocheting tutorial on how to make it you’re very gifted

Do you have a tutorial for this beautiful dragon
Their pattern is available at: www.etsy.com/listing/842067246/dragon-family-crochet-pattern I may in the future make a video tutorial. We'll have to see.
I purchased the firey dragon but not understanding the mouth area it shows the keifer dragon video
I responded to your Etsy inquiry.
In your pattern for Celeste the Unicorn you link this video for the nostrils but this is not the pattern instructions for the unicorn. I’m having a hard time figuring out where to do the (2sc, sc2tog, 2sc) on the side of the nostril. Can you help?
I responded to your Etsy request for help. Take a look at that.
Oh yess a tutorial would be great ( and so generous!)!!!❤
I love the pretty Indian ones🥰🥰🥰
Me too! She was my favorite.
I would love a video tutorial for her
Pretty
Wow!!!! You are so talented!!! This dragon looks so beautiful❤❤❤
Thank you!! He was so much fun to make.
They are PERFECTION!!! ❤❤❤😊
Amazing is there a free pattern?? Or video to make him I want to so bad he's awesome 👍
His pattern is available on Etsy.com: www.etsy.com/listing/660198044/kiefer-the-forest-dragon-life-size-baby
I am trying to make the keifer back stripe and I am confused about what you mean when you say leave 5 stitches undone at the end of the row. Can you please clarify?
It means to crochet all but the last 5 sts.
Is double thread and double yarn the same thing? I’ve noticed your pattern says that at the start of each body part. I’m somewhat new to crocheting. Ty
It is the same. I use thread for some of my patterns and sometimes that vocab creeps in. Just use two strands held together and crochet as one.
Don't understand anything what you're doing....
I'm thinking about redoing this video. It was hard to see.
I cant see your fingers
I'm thinking about redoing this video. It was hard to see.
Hi there. Awesome work! I just discovered this channel and is wondering do you perhaps have a smaller version available? A smaller version won't take that long and would look cute as a baby of him for someone who already did the pattern.
Not yet. I do have some smaller dragon patterns but not similar to this.
@marieoverton5671 oh ok. Will you make more dragon patterns? Like more variety since a lot of patterns are very similar but this one is so unique!
@@DanyaZwiegelaar I am planning on make a sea dragon next but it will be large like this one. I do have some medium size planet dragons on the schedule for sometime in the future. I'm starting to post more on RUclips so hopefully you will see them soon. If you want to see more of my patterns just follow this link: www.etsy.com/shop/OvertonFancies
@@marieoverton5671 ok thank you. I'll be hanging around for some dragon patterns and anything really cute like cats, geckos, bunnies etc.
Aww! He’s so cute!
Please help 🙏🏽 I bought the life size baby dragon pattern from your Etsy but it’s hard to understand, what does 2 ch , double yarn mean?
2ch means to do 2 chains, double yarn means to hold two strands of yarn in your hand and crochet with them as one.
Hello I don’t know if you can help me but I’m trying to make your dragon and I am on route 48P skip one slip stitch two single 21/2 double crochets, two single one single(k) row-chain, 15, single around(l) row chain, place new marker I don’t understand what it’s asking me to do please help
Let's see if I can help skip one slip stitch [you just skip the first stitch like you have been in the previous rows] two single 21/2 double crochets, two single [do you single and half double crochets as you have been] one single(k) row-chain [instead of doing a ss in the chain this time you will do a sc], 15 [these 15sts are the ones you left unworked way back before step 48a, they close the gap], single around(l) row chain [this goes into the chain from the end of step 48l and completes turning the rows into a round again.
Thanks I appreciate it. Got it done.
Sssssooooooooooooooooo cUtE 🥺🥰
where do you find the wool/yarn because where im from its super expensive
I get mine from Herrschners.com
WOW that is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓
Do you have a video on how to make him
No, just the written tutorial that is available on Etsy.
Me gustaría que lo hablaras en español pues x más que lo veo no le entiendo
Is there a video on his feet? This pattern is confusing me so much! I'm at a loss at row 49.
Not a good video, too far away , brown on brown .
Me gustaría que me lo tradujera y lo pasarán un poco más lento
Hola, son bellísimos, quisiera comprar el patron, como puedo hacer?
Can you please make a video on row 48 of the foot?
Me gustaría envespañol
Your holding your hands in the way of your work, cannot see where your working also your camera is to low. I see from other crocheters I am not the only one. (sorry)
No we cannot see it! You are using brown yarn, handling I over a wooden table with the smallest hook size possible when your pattern calls for a size 5 needle and double yarn
Need help. I'm at #68 in making the tail feathers and I am having a very hard time finding the leftover loops to single crochet in. Video is not clear and it says to turn after sc but you are not turning in the video. Please help.
Hey when you say place new stitch marker do you mean the last stitch on the row it's explained on or first stitch of next row ? 😁
Q trabalhos magnífico estou encantada com todos....como adquiro uma receita pra fazer um pra mim
I do not understand this at all. The instructions say 1sc do not chain TURN. where are we turning it to?? The back? That creates some weird twisted rope thingy with the feathers sticking out left right and center. Not it turning it doesn’t create this layered look the pictures in the instructions show but more of a thorn like look. I don’t know. I’m confused and frustrated. I redid this tail what feels like a million times. The video does not show you turning at all.
I got the same issue. I do turn it but I make sure to only do the feathers on the same side. Results in some more twisting and more of a rounded rope like thing, but the feathers lay all against each other kinda like armour I guess so at least when I sow it on they’ll all be facing up. But I was t able to create any kind of zig zag pattern like the instructions said
You have a gift
😮 I’m so making this
