Interesting. I live in Wyoming, along the Idaho border, where the oldest roads are a little over a century old. An artifact from an early explorer was found on my property, and it was two centuries old, and is now in a local museum. It is fascinating to learn about roads that date back to before the fourth century A D.
Thanks for the comment Rob. I was raised on the Canadian prairies and the oldest road there was along the Red River. An ox track from the beginning of the 19th century. Exploring England gave me a real sense of history.

Shared your channel with my Hubby, as he also has a love for history. Those flooded fields remind me of the rice paddy fields we lived near in Japan. That's how they grow rice .. in flooded waters.
