On 26 September 2024, the Access to Medicine Foundation's CEO, Jayasree K. Iyer, spoke at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly High-Level Meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), where the UN Member States committed to new targets and practical steps to address the growing threat of AMR.
Jayasree served as a panellist for the session titled "Addressing human health, animal health, agrifood systems and protecting the environment to tack antimicrobial resistance, through surveillance, capacity-building, sustainable resources, financing and investment."
