    So basically if you have an 4K tv or monitor with hdmi 2.1 is better leave the Ps5 on Automatic Resolution right?Isn’t as Pc that it’s better lowering resolution

      For this test there was no difference for resolution. I'd like to try to test this with other games, but it's likely they would also be fighting games. Or conversely, to try testing PC at different resolutions.

    What monitor do you recommend for competition on PS5?

      Firstly, I've only really tested the inzone m3 and LGC2. For SF5 it plays nicely with VRR so either monitor is fine. For 60hz games with no VRR, the Inzone M3 is potentially a bit slower. The LGC2 is potentially a bit faster. Which other monitors follow this trend is hard to say, and the information from what I can see is not easily available.

    As someone who has no idea how to read off any of these results. Can you simplify the average input lag in frames for each platform? Like: XSX: 3.5 frames, PS5: 3.5 frames, PC: ?? frames. Etc etc.

    Hey, Noodalls. Do you by any chance take requests when covering titles? Is it based on your own curiosity or general demand? I am itching to know how the both Doom 2016 and moreso Doom Eternal perform on console, both last gen and current gen (along with the 120fps support for Doom Eternal). I noticed _some_ FPS titles on your complete database, so thought I'd thrown this out there. I have no idea how much time, effort and money goes into this type of work, so if I'm here asking for the moon on a stick, then that isn't my intention lol. Thanks again and it is really interesting to see how a VSync toggle comes into play here. The gulf is enourmous on PS5! I wish such toggles were system wide on all platforms. The Bethesda ports of classic Doom have a vsync toggle on most modern platforms, but of course on Xbox backwards compatibility, vsync is forced so it's a laggier experience anyhow. On PS4/5 it is a *very* responsive game, though tearing is rampant. Small price to pay IMO.

      Hi there. Unfortunately my enthusiasm for testing and the things that I would love to look into far, far exceeds the time I have. From memory I had looked at Doom at the time, but never the later release and never at 120fps or with Vsync off. Maybe one day.

    I appreciate the work that goes into this! Do you know if anyone has done Input Lag testing on PC with an AMD CPU? I am getting roughly 5-7F of Input lag with IDR and a VRR Monitor compared to almost everyone ese I've seen. Ryzen 5900x, 1070Ti, 32 GB of RAM, Windows 10. I'm thinking that updating my BIOS may help since my motherboard is one of the older ones compared to the CPU.

    I really enjoyed your Input Lag testing for Street Fighter 6! Do you know if anyone has done any specific testing on Street Fighter 6 for AMD vs Intel CPUs? I am convinced that SF6 has some kind of hardware compatibility issues with AMD CPUs. It seems like my AMD CPU (Ryzen 5900x) has roughly 6-7F of Input Lag compared to the 3-4F of Input Lag that everyone else got with their Intel CPUs, even with IDR turned on with a 144Hz monitor.
