Rather than cleaning the encoder by taking it apart isnt just better to replace it w/ a different one?

I use a Core 2 Duo U9400 at 1.4GHz for web browsing, video streaming, and school work on a Fujitsu Lifebook. It does well enough for me.

7:14 for a old laptop with a old discrete gpu you've should tested a old version of premiere or vegas just to see how it was...

Now I broke my Razer Deathadder White Edition and the scroll wheel doesnt work at all now. While im writing this comment I noticed that the video is 1 yr ago. Well im fucked rn. Its not your fault, its the fucking mouse that is made from cheap ass palytic that broke when I turned the screw just a little bit. Thanks, this video will prob help others with the same mouse as yours.

Hey thanks for the help, I look at the stuff in it while trying to do what you did since mine was new bought defective, there is a copper thing that is very small like brush inside, my first attempt was it was still the same so in the second attempt I raise that small brush part and it worked like magic. I think that was the sensor and it was not raised enough have a good sense of scrolling. anyways thanks.

i got cheap unlocked motorola razr OG from local market, east eu has 2g used for other reasons for all 3 operator towers as well so it will still work! If i were to put my modern sim card with appropriate card adapter frame in it i could just start using it, it even came with own 1 gb sd card for music to listen from it, if the battery is not holding good we also have excellent website based store that sells batteries for EVERY old "dumb" phone out there! if i want to take some "vintage" pictures/videos with its crappy camera, usb micro B gives access to it easily!

I just bought my new mouse and a few days later this problem happens. I had the same mouse before and had the same problem, The problem was solved when I cleaned the scroll wheel. But this new one is totally different. Here is how i fixed it: ① Dissamble your mouse just like in the video ② You see a white tube next ti the scroll wheel at 4:01 ? ③ Use your finger and try to lift it up a little bit while using your othee finger to try to scroll the mouse wheel and see if its work. ④ If it works, Grab a tissue and tear it a little and then place it right below that white tube beside the Mouse wheel 4:01 ⑤ Make sure the Whit Tube lifted slightly because it was blocked by tissue. ⑥ After that, Go and try it again. if it works congratulations. if it didn't work, Repeat step ③ and ④ and make sure to clean it up properly before doing this method.

Guys, to save you trouble, thank me later. Just blow into the assembled mouse, where the wheel is located, and that's it. Mouse scroll fixed.

i use a flip phone, a new one, but its my daily because of the brainrot involved with smartphones and their expensiveness, nondurability, and overall excessively hard to use-ness (as phones evolve they just get harder to use, especially when swiping up from the bottom of a screen can be used for 5 million different things all fighting at once.). i love my simple flip phone!

of course all it took was some air to fix this stupid issue, didnt have compressed air so i did it the ol fashioned way and it worked, stupid mouse lol

A time ago my IPM-41-D3 motherboard was damaged and the technician changed it to an ASRock N68-S3 UCC. The thing is that he "upgraded" my Intel Pentium E5300 (GMA 4500) to a Athlon II (i dont remember the rest) (Nvidia GeForce 7025/nForce 630) and now some stuff I used before just doesn't work anymore (with GMA it worked already bad). Is there another way to emulate DirectX 10 *_WITHOUT_* losing perfomance and *_WITHOUT_* upgrading hardware

i tryed using lighter and quickly under the mouse puting the fire from distance, every like 5 rotate clicks was doing the same and the hair burned quickly and then used compressed air to get out completely from the wheel and it fixed 😂

@Val9k Thank you for your nice video. It helped me a lot. There is a way to clean the sensor wheel without breaking your mouse. Do not destroy the 4 clips. What I did: Remove everything like you did in your video except the sensor wheel. Do not take apart the 4 metal clips that hold the sensor wheel. After removing the scrollwheel and the board take a cotton stick and plunge it into isopropyl alcohol. Then press the stick on the underside to the sensor wheel. Same from the topside. Let alcohol flow to the sensor wheel. Remove the fluid with a tissue for some times. Put scroll wheel on and rotate backwards and forwards. Put some alcohol into the cap of your bottle and finally you can dip the sensor wheel completely into the alcohol and remove the fluid with a tissue for some times. Apply the scrollwheel intermittent and rotate it while alcohol is inside sensor wheel area. Repeate some times. Before assembling your mouse your can shortly dry the sensor wheel area with a hairdryer. This worked for me. No breaking of metal clips. Sorry for bad english.

Thank you so much for this. I used your tutorial for Deathadder V2 (except clamping the sensor with a paper clip, I was lucky enough to clamp it down 😂) and now it has no squeeky sound on the scroll wheel anymore. Again, thank you so much for your vid.
