Speed test for random cloud particle rendering. Uses a bounding sphere for fast step marching into a shaped voxel cloud. Features motion blur, by randomly offsetting the rays in time. It's a little stippled but the advantage is that it takes basically no time to process. The anti-aliasing also helps the time smearing by increasing sampling. Only the camera moves. A shadertoy recording for RUclips. 4K - 60 Hz Original shader:- www.shadertoy.com/view/3sBGRt The sound is also procedural, and is included with the shader above. I was pleased with the landscape, as it's made of multi-sized sine and cosine waves subtracted from a plane - you can tell by the circular nature of the cuts.

Bro, your drone constantly farts and is also drunk But overall it turned out great!)😂
Cool. Just like the movie then!
some monitors support 144fps. does any chrome shadertoy webgl do 144fps yet?
Sorry, no. There's not much call for it other than gaming.
Yes it does, all shadertoy shaders will render at whatever chrome renders at, I have 360hz screen and every shader renders at 360fps for me

Well with all that mess practically the projector could just have been moved in angle (idk)

Build Lego drones in style of the science fiction film Oblivion: ruclips.net/video/_xpGi3iZPVs/видео.html
Me and my best friend got lit up by a glowing pristatic ruby red crystalline sphere back in 1996. The oblivion drone is as close to what our terrifying encounter was like with that crystalline sphere. The way it moved, the sounds it made, the very ominous presence it had. It was like it was scanning us. Just like the oblivion drone. And whatever it was doing we apparently passed it's scan because it turned a brilliant prismatic emerald green color and flew up a few feet and imploded. It was very much like this drone. Except the encounter lasted about 15 seconds. As my friend and I were running away in terror and shock he yells I had a dream about this last night and they took us! Needless to say we ran like we never ran before. About 10 years later I found out from a Native American medicine man that the crystalline sphere had been seen in the area since at least the 1840's and it burned people and never changed color like it did with my friend and I in 1996. It's like it was looking for something and had been for a long time and it found what it was looking for. The fuckin thing was so close I could have thrown a handful of rocks at it and most would have hit it.
Never heard of an encounter like this before. What’s the location?
@@jakeviridus-ph4yj well like Scout Master Kevin used to say. There's a first time for everything son. Northeastern commiefornia in a little shithole nothing town called Alturas at the baseball fields parking lot. Then about 18 months later across the street from my old house a brilliant and blinding prismatic white light filled my room at exactly 12am and I was out cold. I came to in a different position covered by something. I slowly reached up to pull whatever was covering me down and I saw my clock. It was 3 am. I had a mixed feeling of terror and extacy with the strong feeling that I definitely went somewhere. I checked myself for anything weird in the bathroom. I had these under the skin red lines between my neck and shoulders that wasn't there when I crawled into bed. That whole county up there has been a ufo hotspot for decades. Also been having reoccurring dream teachings since I was a kid. One of my teachers was a 6.5-7foot tall Lizard man who flooded my mind with memories through telepathic mass memory transfer. Between that and everything else I saw and learned I wrote a 400+ page book about it all called Limits of Infinity. It's not easy to find online unfortunately. If you'd be interested in reading it let me know I'll drop the link here.
👍👌
This is awesome. I have a LOTR VR experience and would love to change out the 'eye" I have with this, I attempted to convert it to Unity however I am not a Shader dev so I just could not do it. Would you consider converting? And if so, for how much? In any case, EXCELENT work.
This is the first strand-type game.
I was wondering if there would be any jumpscare in middle of shader :D
Yeah, originally there was meant to be. But after many hours and hours of building the thing, it just didn't seem right! 🙄😁
the sound was not cool
hi just wondering if i can use this and post it to my other youtube as visuals for a song i made! thanks in advance hope to hear back from you
Hello, yes you can use the video, but please credit me somewhere in the vid. And also please link your video on this post when you’re done, so I can have a look. 😀
Huh. The music fades out and loops every 60 seconds. Was the shader updated to have the music run longer after this was uploaded?
THE LORD OF THE RINGS
can i use this commercially?
i think your drone is drunk 😂😂🤣🤣,,,,, awesome creation
I see you You cannit hide
Really Cool! People who thumbs down this video have no idea that there is a 400 line program executed that runs identically (except for knowledge of pixel location) on every pixel of the graphics display. This is a mind blowing method of creating an image. It is not like you are relying on a million lines of computer graphics libraries to render the image. I can see that it takes some serious craftiness to write this code.
Did you generate the sound also, or is that a song
No, not this time - see the description for music info. It was immediate demonetised for using someone else's tune. Not that it matters with so few views.... :)
I have no doubt it will be great once RUclips has finished processing it XD
Thanks, yeah this really needs the detail in it.
Amazing. Can I use this or i break copyrights?
Im using your effect.. the rendering here is so nice. Thanks for your work.
i don’t understand, what does “using your effect” mean?
This pre render, im not much into rendering sorry! Thanks again
Sosuk I would like a mention in your work as a courtesy for using my graphics please? Thanks.

I have always wondered what the hell those letters were, Its been driving me nuts for years
I'm 3 years late commenting. I was thinking it was the ceiling or like mentioned the grid holes but actually it's the DNA code imprint she is made of reflecting on her skin.... Amazing!
Cool ,You forgot one small element, the directional jet ports, 3 on each corner:)
I thought there was loads of stuff missing from this, it is only made if boxes, spheres and tubes all hand placed with mathematical functions in text.
A totally awesome film!
If I was the drone I would have shot him.
when you going in the kitchen in the middle of the night your mom:
Is it possible to incorporate this with erosion simulation and on a finite spherical world?
I have a question. You made epic landscapes 8 years ago and you still do them. I'm a complete noob concerning that topic. What did change in those last 8 years. What can you do now that you couldn't back then? Is it real time or are you prerendering all of it and this video takes several hours to render?
Hello, I started out using OpenGL and C++ to render my landscapes, but since then I've used shadertoy to render them. You can see all the code in the description links, under the videos. Most of them are real-time. To make most of the latest videos I did one frame at a time at 8K resolution to avoid any aliasing problems, and sequenced them together using "Virtual Dub".
@@DaveHoskinsCG Thank you for the information. And could you tell me what is possible today that wasn't possible back when you started. Is it just the level of detail and the resolution or are there other technical limits you had back then that you don't have anymore?
Fractals is actually smart. Imagine what you could do if you added a hydrologic simulation or something like that. I mean fractals are amazing for mountainous and rugged terrain but what about smoother terrain like plains and valleys?
Surreal Supercell I know what you mean. This terrain calculates the fractal on the fly, and water erosion takes a while to simulate, so it would have to be pre-built and stored, which wasn’t what I was wanting at the time. It does make great mountains though...🙂
@@DaveHoskinsCG That's a good point. But perhaps for loading a procedural planet sized map that might actually work (I'm assuming it may take a bit to load at first though..) Regardless your work is awesome!
This is pretty stunning! Does anybody do games using this kind of landscape generation?
Games use polygons for everything, and most things are prebuilt by artists, but there are some that use fractals like this, but those are still prebuilt and streamed in. Games like no mans sky pre-build planets on the fly, but everything is highly controlled, and made to fit certain parameters, that look ok to an artists eye, which is not a bad thing. Unfortunately that often means realistic worlds get toned down to look more like sci-fi art, rather than odd quirky places they should be.
Amazing : pure math >>> pure art - excellent work
