Doctor Who V Carry On : Stars that appeared in both.
@ClassicTV @DoctorWho @CarryOnUK @CarryOnFilms
For this video, it really is a labour of love.
Doctor Who and the Carry On movie series are two of my favourite franchises of all time, and a few weeks ago I got into a conversation about which actors appeared in both.
So I set out to research and find the (hopefully) definitive number.
And here, friends, I present my findings.
Some you will know for sure.
Some you will have known , but maybe pushed to the back of your mind.
Others you will be surprised at.
So take a guess, sit back and enjoy.
In preparation of todays video, two sources were vital in my research :
The Doctor Who Wiki and moviedude.co.uk - without either this would have taken a lot ,...

#classicdoctorwho #doctorwho #colinbaker Today we drop into 19th century northern England to see what the Master and the Rani are up to with all those young men. An admirable effort to return to historic Who based around (loosely) real events. An unusual selection of incidental music gives this story an odd feel, but the interior of the Rani's TARDIS makes up for this.

    A few other JNT stunt castings : Nerys Hughes (Kinda) ; Liza Goddard ( Terminus - like Nerys Hughes playing a substitute companion when there are already three regular companions) ; Lynda Baron and surely of the worst stunt castings Leee John (Enlightenement). Arguably also Kate O'Mara as the Rani. Surely it can't be coincidence that two of the main stars of Blakes 7 , Paul Darrow and Jaqueline Pierce both appeared in seperate stories in season 22.

    • @DoctorWhoFilesOfSilasP

      Original scripts are usually better ; budget constraints usually inhibit the writers original vision. Take Survival for example, the original concept by Rona Munro was unique but sadly what we saw on our screen barely resembled it (although the Target novelisation did make upper much of it). No location work ? No Wookie Hole complete with its witch ghost?
