Only wish we got a quick map image too, i understand this was likely not a proper playthrough so the maps are not revealed. About the 8th time i been back to see a location, thanks for the info.
You're welcome. I will look into doing a version with maps.
Perfect timing! I usually tend to stay within Mountain Town, Mystery Lake, and Pleasant Valley. I just started venturing out towards the DLC areas. This is gonna be a huge help
You're welcome! 👍
any tips on how to enjoy past 70 days in game? Im currently on interloper I enjoyed it its my first interloper game too I have decent clothing I cleared most of the maps I still didnt find the loot cache tho its probably in some of the ones that I never came across I only know 5 of them so its possible I found myself just going arround and killing stuff then storing their meat / hide / intestines for later use Im about to hit lvl 5 cooking already hit lvl 5 collecting and my archery is lvl 4 mid so skills are already done as well Istill have some maps I didnt visit them being the 3 corners broken rail road - des. point - bleak inlet and the new map being blackrock but personally I hate that map and Im not planning to go there as long as I can since that map is horrible for my liking I cleared all other maps pretty much
I find setting personal goals helps. Otherwise you just get stuck in a loop of moving from region to region, maybe you hunt, stash the food- rinse, wash, repeat. Which ends up not being much fun after some time. I normally do all level 5 skills, set up a regional base in each region, go after achievements, kill the indoor wolves, do the tales, etc. I have a goal to build a trophy hall and collect one of every item. I find things like this keep me engaged because it changes my mindset from explore all the regions to something more long term.
It's VOYAGEUR: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyageurs Good video though.
Thanks! I will check it out.
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
thank you for the video

thank you for the video 🌵
Thank you for watching!
Dose it offer a decent goat path lol im allergic to ropes
58:45 I know understand why you are excited about BlackFrost having horses, you need a pack animal with all that inventory
Right? Lol
It is was like an acre of acorns
Lol it was! 🌰
brilliant take, loved it.
Thank you!
No matter the amount of time I have in this game, I still watch stuff like this. Never know when I'll learn something new! I hope you keep making this kind of content.
Thank you! 😊 I have many more guides planned.
minus
I have recently had my first ash canyon trip, terrified me. But as i was on day 128 going in i was prepared for a long stay. I got the technical backpack, polariod and map drawn within 2 days. I logged out at wolfs jaw after sleeping there. Now what? Return to coastal highway? Visit Blackrock first time? Visit milton?
@@TheMumbles If you don't mind the Timberwolves Blackrock can be nice. Just most people don't so they don't like that map much. Lol
Great content idea! Keep dem guides coming 😊
Thank you and will do!
Great guide, thank you so much for this
Thank you! I hope it helps.
The only map I have bother with is Hushed River Valley. I know parts of it, and gotbthe caves down, but I think the issue is the map is completely bisected by the river, with no dirrect crossing, and it feels like an invisible maze. Ash Canyon is probably more complicated, but easier to get around since once you're up on the cliff, it stays pretty linear.
I hear that a lot. I will probably do a special video for HRV and break it down since I know it confuses a lot of people.
These tips are amazing and I wish I knew them when I ventured in Sundered Pass.
@@geneziz7553 Thank you!
Even having more over 1500 in the game is still fun to watch this type of content. Great work
@@mMMm-mr9ic Thank you, I appreciate that!
49:00 Jit dosent touch the coal in the cave I am surprised, what is a few extra kilos when you are already 12 over lol. Looking forward to season 3 and see how you will tackle it. At we know you are aware by now of dropping the flask by the fire instead of the circle of teas. Cheers, Upper BI prepper cache is great, will offer extra calories and help with the tales bunker.
@@alantacitus Right? Lmao. I am sooo ready for season 3! I'm very excited for it. Even if we still have a while.
These are really good tips! Very helpful and practical. If I were to add my own to this, it's to take note of where the setting sun is in relation to where you are and where your base is when it's clear. That way, even in the thickest fog, you'll be able to see the setting sun and you'll know which direction you have to go to make it home before dark.
@@quen_anito Thank you! And that is a great tip! Thank you for sharing!
great video!
@@typewritermark Thank you!
Wonderful 🙂 Thank you for creating this Video 😄
@@eddison3713 Thank you!
Tip 3 (looking behind you) is a good tip in real life. Although in real life I have a compass, and wish I did in Long Dark!
It really is. I also do this while hiking. :)
Cattails as a bread crumb trail is a good idea. Spray paint is another underrated feature.
Spray paint, yes, and charcoal.
Thank you. And I agree spray paint it a great tool to use while learning maps. I use to for the cave in TFT still.
I'm getting lost in Mistery Lake, after more than 30 days... As I recognize places, and I know where they are, I'm often getting lost while traveling between - and finish somwhere else ;) This gets me frustrated... and I often ends playing with a feeling of beeing lost, a bit sad and frustrated... :( I will try some of these when reaching new region...
Sorry to hear that. It takes time. Be patient with yourself. You'll get there. I hope the tips do help when you get to new maps.
Excellent topic!
Thank you!
Very solid and helpful tips. I personally would have added the tip to draw a map whenever you find a landmark. It helped me greatly in understanding the basic layout of the map.
Agreed the only thing this guide was missing.
@tini243 Also, mapping again when you are lost. The map is centered on your current position you can judge the distance and direction of the landmarks you've mapped previously.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing. <3
Good stuff. Turning around occasionally and looking behind you (Tip 3) is a good habit to get into in general, especially if you're a player who walks around stinky. A Crazy Ivan now and then will let you know if there's a curious predator creeping up behind you (wolves in "stalk" mode don't always do the bork TLD players know and love while approaching).
Yeah, it really is and that is very true about the wolves as well.
Oh man! This has BACON written all over it. Perfect timing as I am currently trying to explore more regions and learn the lay of the land. Thanks a lot for all your efforts in all your guides 👏
May it he Mappy learn all the map!
Underrated guide channel, I haven’t played in years it’s so nice to have some refresher knowledge that’s actually UPDATED
Thank you for the kind comment. :) It means a lot to me.
Title says Leaning, you forgot the "R" otherwise awesome. Can you change the title without reuploading it?
But how can you map without some *Lean?*
@@SlippedGear I can. Thank you. :)
@@jitwire Great tip with the tinder plugs 🙂👍
Good finds in mountain town, should keep you on the road for a bit longer.
Thanks! That's the hope!
Great Video, thanks for the entertaining us
@@RemyLebeau-l1h Thank you!
While trying to entertain herself in the trailer, Astrid builds Match stick people, and creates a theater stage from cardboard. She proceeds to recreate Broadways Hamilton, which is so good it gets 2 curtain calls. 😢 what a performance
So that's why she's so bad at starting fires, too busy making George Washington out of all my matches.
LOL
one question: Is there going to be a second showing, this sounds amazing
Where can I get tickets for match stick Hamilton? Sounds way more entertaining than card house building
Ty you are awesome
Thanks, I am glad the video helped.
Perfectly sums up my thoughts on the game. I've spent 1500+ hours in TLD over the last near decade, other games come and go, but I always return to the quiet apocalypse.
I know exactly what you mean, it’s a really special game. Thank you for the comment.
Are these spawns active in challenge runs? I saw a pack of normal wolves on top of TWM’s summit while replaying hopeless rescue, which I had never seen before.
Yes. I had Timberwolf packs on the ice in Costal Highway while doing Whiteout.
this is a great video, it explains it simply and in detail. Good job

Here are some emersion breakers for me. 1. Wind blows away the wolf prints I am tracking down but, crow feathers are glued to the ground through a blizzard. 2. No feet but footprints. No legs but sprang ankles. 3. No matter how long the cliff the rope is always just the right leangth and also no matter how long the rope it is always 11 pounds. Just things I have noticed.😂
Haha, those are good ones. Thanks for sharing!

I bought a property in great bear and what they do for you is they give you the property
@ eeyleb3657 agreed. The comment about the wolf in the cave helped me get my bearings again after the wondering around in the other multiple ice caves for days and days.
I am absolutely loving this. What are the mortgage rates?
This was a freaking lifesaver, many thanks!
