I take my road test tomorrow for PFG Alabama
@@wslycmmngs if you made it that far you got the job. Road test are always easy even as a new driver
Hey bro do you might if I ask you some questions over phone about Pfg
i work for PFG 3 years now. im a swat driver from Tennessee. it's different than a travel driver, but they send me all over helping out places. i worked for that RFS in Springfield for 3 months last year. they have me in ohio helping out a pfs in fairfield right now and they are sending me to shaffer California next to help out the customized warehouse lol
swat money is great, but we don't get those 3 months of vacation like you travel drivers lol
routes at that place were easy, sometimes I got straight sonic routes with a 1000 pieces on the trailer. lots of soda bibs lol
Are you going to come out with more videos?
Yes what video would you like to see next?
@@GrandMasterDeeTV day in the life vlog would be good. Or a pros and cons about working at PFG
Can you keep making videos very informative, Good stuff bro
I gotcha. Life been life(ing) but we coming back strong 💪🏽
Love you keeping it real.
Fasho. I’m just trying to be transparent as much as possible
run solo mostly, when we do run with another driver everything goes so fast. Cant imagine running with 3
Yea same. When I got here I was shock 😳 but going out with 1200 cases makes it feel like only 2 people really. But hey any help, helps!
He’s wrong respectfully Dallas PFG does not do golden chick at all. That’s Wilmer Texas that does Golden Chick and churches not Dallas
This was a drop yard I was working in in Dallas. The product comes from Houston warehouse. I never worked at the warehouse in Dallas so I’m not sure who they deliver to. But indeed the drop yard I was at delivers to golden chick and churches
I work for PFG out of Dallas and I make great money biweekly & I’m just tier 1. I’ll post my biggest check and my lowest if you don’t believe me
How much extra do you get paid having to travel vs a driver that works out of the same city everyday?
I got hired on as a travel driver so I can’t compare the difference because I never worked out a single opco.
@@GrandMasterDeeTVbro I’ve been trying to get onto the travel team
@@leonardoarizola251 If you work for the company already I’m not sure how you supposed to get on. I got hired on the travel team. I had put a application in for this position
What is the hourly pay or yearly salary expected? i know you can make “80-100k” with U.S foods according to their applications.
You can make that at any big food service company , just gotta give it a year or two
@@TopTee3 i’m 20 and where I live in colorado it’s very hard to get my foot through the door with companies. i got a job at waste management. Do you think i’d enjoy food services a lot better? i get about 55-60 hours a week at waste so could food services match that?
@@MasonHoff-nq5jq I don’t see why not ? Just gotta do wats best for you in your area tbh
@@MasonHoff-nq5jq you will work way harder at any food service job waste management not a bad gig
@@senor3929 Tbh it just ain’t enjoyable to me. i have my class A too and wanna do something with it. i heard getting your foot through the door you should do otr to experience everything you can.

Hey brother! I've been in food service for over 4 years. GFS for 3 years.... PFG Customized Division for 1 years.... I finally got all of my endorsement, I think it's time for me to try different path... Thinking about Tanker HAZMAT....
Best thing I ever did just brought my house built from ground up now in the process of opening up a truck parking lot 😊
Awesome work. That’s big! Congrats! Let me know how that truck parking lot comes along. I’m pretty sure you’ll make pretty good money with it
great video.. Congrats
Thank you 😊
I'm working for Sysco but I'm thinking about changing to Performance because they don't tie loads here and there are 24 stops with 600 pieces every day. What is working with you like?
I started off at Sysco. I had 24 stops 900 cases. In my opinion Performance is not like that way less stops lol
Shoutout to you big dawg!!! I’ve been with US Foods for almost two years and getting my CDLs and joining the food service ranks was the best decision I’ve ever made for my career
Mannnn I totally agree with you on that. Even working the warehouse is pretty good. After you work there a little while you can work your way up to truck driver and you familiar with the products and and stacking so it’s a move transition. And thank you man and congratulations to you and your career
I like this channel.
Thank you. I had to take a break but I got more to come. Bare with me
Young man’s job
You think so. I know a lot of guys 50+ doing this 🤔
What’s the pay
Average about 75k-100k depending on where you live
I was OTR for about 18 months then got onto a dedicated account that had me home daily 5 days a week. That account just recently got cancelled and i had to get back on the road and immediately I just realize that life aint the one for me anymore. So Im fixing to apply to PFG local to my area and hopefully just have a quality of life change for the better. Im prior service military and my last job before trucking was outdoor labor in Florida so Im no stranger to working hard. Your videos have been helping me get a more in depth idea about it all and help me make this decision
I have never did OTR I knew from the jump that that lifestyle not for me. So I’m fine working hard just to be home daily everyday. With what you said you should do alright in food service. Go ahead and apply and lmk how it goes. I’d love to hear. I’m prior service as well what branch did you serve. Thanks I’m glad I’m able to help come to a decision. Do you have any question that I may not covered or a video that you would like to see?
@@GrandMasterDeeTV PFG ended up not moving forward with the application, which I believed had a lot to do with something I declared involving an accident which I learned isnt even on my driving record so I never needed to lol but it is what it is, I ended up applying to a Flatbad company thats headquartered in my city so even though I am OTR right now with them, its definitely a better experience than my last job. So im happy now with my work situation. Funny enough I was in National Guard as a 88M and drove daycab freightliners with flatbed trailers. So I had some idea of the work i was getting myself into now
Yeah I'm trying to get into food service, gotta get my l's first of course
Yea that priority. My first cdl job was food service.
Do they hire with no experience?
Yes
Great vid bro..I have 5 yrs exp in trucking ...your testimony was awesome, I drove dry van, fkatbed, reefer and heavy haul with wide load..PAUSE!!!
😂
😂
😂😂😂 thanks bro! Aye you got some experience in the game. I have only ran reefer.
Any advice for a 18 year old? wanting to get my cdl
Get started gonna have to do local work until your 21 or 22 depending on the requirements in your state
With the knew law pass recently allowing 18 years old to get there cdl is pretty cool. I wish I could’ve got my CDL at 18 I would’ve been started a long time ago. Trucking is a great career. You’re young so you have time to try different things and find out what you like the best.
Way to much work in the morning, good to watch but not to be doing . 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Company a lied told me I was making over 115k with my experience work my but off with production check was 1056$ after taxes not no we’re close to 115k
Weekly?
Yea I notice some company’s do mislead driver during the interviews. I think it just a gimmick to attract drivers which is not cool at all
If yall were smart enough you would buy 1 used tractor trailer and rent a small warehouse area create your own pfg by hiring brokered freight
Got an interview and road test this upcoming thursday
I’m late as crap but how did it go? Did you get hired?
You funny asl 😂
Peace love and light! Thanks 😂😂😂
Yall drop yard is in wilmer?
No it’s not in Wilmer no more ion think
Mclane fs driver from Houston salute, we real heavy down here
🫡 that’s where the product come from to this drop and yea the loads we had were very heavy
Respect!! Been in the game since I was 21. 7 years in definitely not for the weak. Keep pushing!!
It’s not and I 🫡 you man 7 years strong respect 💪🏽
Oh shit, I’m out of the Mansfield yard 🫡
Ohh dang fr. I didn’t meet a lot of people there so I doubt I even seen you 🫡
I got hired for Mansfield but had an accident the day of my orientation and they moved on. I'm at Dallas now
@@laboy2672 cool, I worked at the Dallas one for a few months too, i heard they were moving the dc from Investment dr on to somewhere else?
@GrandMasterDeeTV bro, I loved the 1st person veiw of the day in the life! Respect! It's been a few months. You should make an update video...even if your not with them. Peace King! 💪🏾✊🏾
I'm looking for company to pay for my school
Look into a WIOA grant.
There’s a couple companies that will. But look into your state to see if they have grants
Go through the government, look up “government pay cdl school” and you will see grants for cdl training💯
Before you even said it, I was like that CDL have you put ya bills on auto pay😂
Yk whats funny. In the video I said my bills are on autopilot but I see you knew what I meant 😂
How were you able to get the traveling job? Did you apply for it? Or did they offer it to you??
I applied for it. I came from Sysco
The penguin is chill.
😁
Got my cdl in june…driving ltl for about 7 weeks..best thing i ever did
I’ve been looking into ltl I’m in food service rn
@@GrandMasterDeeTV get your endorsements…its easy af..i jus listened to a few videos then took all the tests..only missed 3 outta 70 questions..fools be gettin scared of the endorsement tests fr
Come to the pfg 40 min away from Chicago been here for almost 10 years I work in the warehouse order picker but I be going on routes with the drivers helping some weeks I luv it doing bro you see different things everyday on them routes and you get free foods from some customers.
That’s what’s up. I think a lot of warehouse guys showed go out with some of the drivers so they can see what we go through out there.
I work for sysco and im thinking about switching to pfg. Does pfg have a phone policy too?
Yea. All food service company have them.
Stick with sysco bro more money pfg has no route or incentive pay from what I understand
Did you get your CDL through a major company that trained you etc. Or did you go outside to a school for it? If you went through a company who was it?
I went to a private independent school to get my license.
Seriously cool talk about what its like! I appreciate the facts of the normal jobs vs driver. I am seriously considering the CDL route, and I am having a hard time deciding on getting my CDL from a school vs getting it from a company that helps you get it etc. Thanks again! Be safe!
Thanks for the comment. Getting your CDL is not a bad decision. You should go for it. Thank you too!
Hope you guys are Lot better than salt lake they such
I have a road test coming up with PFG, what should I expect?
Nothing crazy it’s some. Turn right here, turn left at the light and backed into a dock. That’s it
@@GrandMasterDeeTVOh ok Thanks bro👍🏾💯
How many cdls do you have
bruh you can only have one CDL at a time.
😂😂
There are 3 CDL types you can either have your class A class B or class C all of them determines what types of vehicles you can drive 😊
Lmaooo😂
Wooo this hit home fr I come from the trenches and that Ohio paycheck struggling wishing you could get ahead in life ain’t no hoe I am currently going get my cdl this week and will be going to a company for paid training I have a goal and am so excited to be able to save and like you said not worry bt a due date im so excited for this journey especially doing it as a women and setting the bars for my hood and other women such a blessing bc we’re I come from alot of people have died due to guns violence drugs etc and it’s really sad to see im making it out the hood is a feeling like no other Stay blessed ❤
