So medieval 2 is the total warhammer i should have been playing this whole time? Too bad CA never just learned from all the popular mods and feedback and made better and better games. I'm still addicted to warhammer 1 and 2 though.

In all fairness, lots of these shortcomings may of been attempted by the developers, but from what i gather, trying to make particular things happen without breaking the game can be a nightmare.

He can make fun of as many games and developers as he want, but most of them actually put the work to create games in a better fashion than he has ever done. That's pretty sad

As someone who is ideologically quite close to grummz and hate woke messaging in video games I am glad I've watched this video that is showing the less virtuous side of grummz. With that said, I do have some criticism: 1.) Intro- you mentioning grummz's refusal and immediately after showing him going to other podcasts made you look as a crybaby and I almost clicked away. That should not have been included since it is not relevant to the main topic of this video 2.) Grummzs work history-while you claim that you don't want to trash his work history you still 8n essence do so, at least that's my interpretation of your words. This video should have been about half in length just showing of grummzs scam video game. The tiered indiegogo campaigns are baffling and him using his mom to CEO also managed to raise my eyebrows

ROME 2 is good game and better than shogun 2.

I actually played Firefall. It was... very bland and grindy. Basically felt like eating paper. Sure, i played it and had some fun especially since MMO shooter was novel for me (and i dont think there were many at the time... or any for that matter. Borderlines were closest thing and nobody would call Borderlines an MMO), so yeah nothing worth crowdfunding. To compare. Ember basically doesn't exist.

As someone who played the Firefall closed beta and has been very familiar with Mark Kern for a long time now, it's always fun to see people go from thinking he has so much game dev cred to realize that he's actually a complete moron talking out his ass and takes no accountability for his own failures.

One thing that people forget about the legendary Blizzard old guard that worked on thier beloved classics is that they are also the same blizzard devs from the Cosby Suite. In our nostalgia for the good old days and worship for what games used to stand for we end up wishing away the less desirable aspects of those "better times". And from seeing how this man behaves online i find it pretty hard to belive that Grumms wasen't part of the Cosby Suite part of old blizzard

I just want to point out that "stakeholder" essentially means anyone who has an interest in the product coming out good/profitable. so, that'd include the team that's working on the project, investors, executives, as well as customers. a half-decent producer will have at least a high-level understanding of the way all of these groups (and subgroups within them) function and think even if they don't necessarily have the experience and low-level knowledge to do some of the jobs themselves.

I followed ember's development early on and joined their discord when that was a thing, and the only thing i remember is someone rping as mr torgue from borderlands 2, talking to everyone in allcaps i know about the mr torgue guy more than the game itself

His game won't ever finish, because it's more easy to keep the easy money flow forever.

I heard about him when the whole Stellar Balde drama came about. At first I enjoyed his tweets, just for the comedy of them. But after awhile with how much unhinged dick riding he doing for the game, I could just tell something was up about him.
