Rare Emmick go-kart tormenting neighborhood. cheap torque converter, 32 tooth final drive, intake, exhaust, carb, jetted, governor removed. got it up to 45 this video. can do 60 with better torque converter and better belt. cheap torque converter and belts can't handle 60mph, so I adjusted drive pulley spring limited to 50mph.

Thank you so much for this. I have a 2008 328i and was thinking of doing the same since it’s no longer my daily. I was curious how the drivetrain would hold up and sounds like only 400 hp.
@@Greezzmonky first thing to go out in the drive train seems to be the torque converter. Starts to slip around or just above 300hp. Some guys are converting to a specific torque converter out of an X5 or some Z's have it too. Another option and probably easier is to do a manual trans. Preferably a 335i manual trans (GS6-53BZ). BUT all of those drivetrain issues on the auto cars come from hard launches and aggressive shifting trans tunes. So if you always roll into it you'll be fine.

I own a n52b25, will the turbo kit work in my engine, or is it only for the 3.0 litre engine?
One thing I’m seeing other than the car customization is a lack of fabricating some custom tools. Like a separate air jetter tip that blows about 115°
Too expensive. Don’t get me wrong. I have an N51 328i, but $4,350? I mean you’re in some used 335i prices.
@@destruxandexploze2552 A used 335 is always going to need 4k in maintenance just to run good and not look clapped out from the previous owner. But yes it's expensive to turbo any NA car.

I do have some trouble after the installation but my car has been siting for 6 months, i changed the flywheel and clutch and a bunch of other parts. My garage said that i have missfire from cylindre 4 and 5, maybe my intake boot is leaking of air, or maybe i didnt install the intake manifold correctly (i did cut the top of those adapter sleeve). I will probably reinstall n52 intake manifold for trouble shooting, i'll do an update of the situation later this week
@@NosAndRix if you had the non 3stage manifold before hand, it could still get a missfire if your PVC hose isn't re routed. You would need to run that hose I have attached to the Gatorade bottle instead to a catch can and run a 3/8 hose from the catch can back to the manifold so it sees vacuum. This was one point I was mistaken with during the video. If you did have the 3stage manifold on beforehand, you would need to detune or reprogram the car to not read any disa. Or to answer the question simply, the PCV likes to see vacuum and should be rerouted to a source (the manifold). Mine didn't cause a missfire but I now realize other cars will sometimes.
@@NosAndRix you could also have a completely different issue unrelated to the manifold. Replacing spark plugs is always a good thing to do.
@@Moon-Garage i changed my spark plug and the garage test the spark plugs, the coil, compression and other. They told me everything is fine about the ignition. They told me my intake boot is probably leaking and my catch can doesnt return to the manifold, and it can cause a problem like you said. I have a 328xi 07 without the stage 3. To try to fix the problem, i will change the intake boot for a universal flexible boot like you did. And i think i would need to drill a hole in my intake manifold and thread the plastic to put a line that came from my catch can
@@Moon-Garage After investiguation, it seem that the problem was my coil from cylinder 4 and 5, it wasn't connected properly, the car seem to run fine now
Super good job brother we’re supporting you 🎉
Hey man I live in Colorado always down for a meetup
Also did you end up needing to tune it?
@@stretchthemessiah6211 I unfortunately just moved to Idaho :(
@@Moon-Garage no worries! Did you end up needing a tune tho after the install it seemed like you ended up just driving it straight away and it was fine but maybe I miss saw
@@stretchthemessiah6211 I was able to drive it on a base tune (a tune just good enough for it to drive) I am still tuning and fixing some small things so that it can make all the power it should. In short, it's not done yet.
Aye bro it doesn’t look you have an actual catch can you need that with the n54 manifold or the car will never run right remember you pcv still has to suck the oil fumes out the engine
Yeah I'm working on that and the gas vent right now.
@@Moon-Garage make sure it’s 3/4ths hose and DO NOT tap it into the purge line to the gas tank the car will have a misfire and will lose power if you do so you can use the stock valve cover just block the line the diaphragm also get a one valve since you won’t be using the stock system lmk if you need ideas of routing it I went through the pain so you wouldn’t have to lol good look.

you had a 3 stage manifold and you removed it for a regular manifold (just wider) right? I'dk Like to put a N52 3 stage on my n53 and flash a tune from a 530i to integrate the 3 stage manifold but that seem tricky
@@swifttactics2143 I did not have a 3 stage manifold to begin with. It was a 328i non disa manifold.
This is awesome love that eurocanracing came out with this but I will stay in my own lane for 6000 cad no thank you!
Dude that ain't a N52😂 facts
I would’ve went with the 330i manifold to retain low end torque. The N54 manifold gives you more power but there’s fall off in torque so there’s a trade off.
@natking1u1z99 if I didn't turbocharge my car, I would have done the 330i intake manifold as well.

"now i cant get it off, whatever" 😆
I was thinking about doing this to my n52 or was thinking about supercharging it as I know quite a few people pulling 600hp with the ess supercharger. Is the power gain from this kit worth the effort, or should I go the supercharged route
@Automotivestyle_jdm not sure about 600hp on stock internals. At least for long. I've seen people blow up between 14psi and 20psi. I plan to stay around 13 or 14 which should make around 500wheel.
@@Moon-Garage As I know if you are planning to exceed 10psi of boost, a piston rings re-gap is necessary. Is it included in your modification plan?
@gaaloulmed4753 nope. I'm going to blow it up first before opening the engine. Lots of guys have ran 12-15psi safe, some blowing up around 14-20. Depends on how quality the tune is.

anybody had a silicone intake boot already and know if it fits?
Im too excited for this build becuase i want to try this first before LS swap my 328i
@aombarbor hell yeah. I feel like LS swapping changes the dynamic of any car a lot. Balance, handling and stuff. I'm not opposed to it, but sometimes it's like may as well buy a c5 corvette. Overall, turbo kit will be cheaper, considering you'll need an new ecu and a lot of fabrication.
I have an old 325i and added the 3 stage intake manifold and had it tuned to use the disa valves... Will this really add anything more that that?
@davezaffina1983 probably not. And if it did, you would lose bottom end and gain top end. This is an alternative to doing a 3stage and needing a reprogram. Only benefit in the n54 manifold is no Programing needed and it is way better if you're going turbo.
@@Moon-Garage ah ok, I'm actually trying to sell my 325i that has too much to list done to it. It is a great car that I loved driving but am trying to free up garage space
Would this also ework for the n51 SULEV motors? I own an e92 328i and have been looking into turbos or even NA power gains.
@christopherweinert9935 I'm not too sure. As far as I know, it should. Maybe message Eurocan Racing and ask to be sure. For good NA power, do all the maintenance and bolt ons, then personally I think the best performance mod is weight reduction.

@@Moon-Garage less? I’m about to do it tomorrow and I can’t spend 20 hours I have a road trip in two days 😭
@Ez-jw8xv 🤣 good luck. Maybe if you hustle and read instructions fast, you can do it in less than 15 hours.
I just did this swap and got a bunch of codes and lights on. I think I might have a vacuum leak but I also got my brake light on and my DTC light on. Any idea what might cause those 2 lights on? Did you have a small hose on your PVC valve? if so where did you route it to? What did you do with the crankcase vent connector?
@arebelfromhell that's interesting. Brake light and DCT light would usually be from a wheel speed sensor, so maybe you accidentally touched one of those as they are very sensitive. Either way should be completely unrelated to the intake manifold. As for the PCV that comes from the back of the engine, I have it dumping into a catch can. You can route it through a catch can and back into the intake or directly into the manifold, or you can dump it on the ground. Up to you.
@@Moon-Garage Thank you for your reply, I figured out all the codes and the Brake & DCT light. My crankshaft sensor came loose and caused those lights and codes to turn on. I don't recommend installing the manifold without the sleeves like you suggested towards the end of the video because the plastic is really soft especially when it gets hot and created some indents from tightening the bolts on my manifold.
Very very good video
Bro not many people have videos doing a N52 turbo good job I would like to know around how much does turbo kit go for thanks bro
