In this episode we drive from Esperance in Western Australia, to Brisbane in Queensland, a journey of over 5000km. I can think of far more scenic road trips to take, but if you like deserts and dont like people, you'll love the first part of this video, crossing the great Austrian bight. We check out Hahndorf, a small German town in South Australia. Melbourne, VIC. Canbarra, ACT. Coffs harbour,...

Welcome back! In this episode Lisa and I will be revisiting our favourite island chain, the Gili Islands in Indonesia. This will mark our 4th visit here, and as such I feel uniquely qualified to show you around. We have a lot of fantastic memories across these islands, infact riding a tandem bike around Gili T was our first 'date' over 6 years ago. We love this place, and we'll be back again in...

I have a lot of those back of my house, when they became famous?
Went there. Was very average
Imma try this
We are going there in May and thank you for your amazing video .
@@louisaklimentos7583 you'll love it! Have fun!!!
@ I will think of you and your beautiful wife when I am in Albany . You both are an asset to Australia . If you ever come to the Blue Mountains region in NSW , come and visit Wollemi National Park . There is a glow worm tunnel and there is a pagoda track which takes nearly 3 hours to complete the hike . There is Garden of Stone conservation area and the rock formations look like Pagodas . It is about 2 hours and 15 min drive from Sydney . You both are such a lovely couple. . Best of luck with your lives here in Australia . I was born in London and migrated to Australia when I was 4 years old . Thank you so much for all your beautiful videos .
I feel like I am rock scrambling with you . Thank you so much !
I went there back in 2003 and loved it . Really nice video thank you !
You are e Perrin I h a lot of good weather . I believe Rottnest Island I believe is a relaxing island with stunning beaches . I hope that you enjoyed your bike ride around the island . Those cute quokkas are adorable . Thank you for this amazing video .
The Nullarbor means no trees in Spanish . Driving along the Nullarbor , you are driving a long the cliff line . Did you visit Wilson’s Promontory in Victoria . You will love it as it has amazing beaches and wildlife .Western Australia has amazing Geology and you never been to them by the sounds of it . Did you visit the Stirling Ranges in Western Australia , or Kalbarri , or Karajini National Park or the Kimberly ? They have even limestone caves . I haven’t seen these in your videos . NSW has amazing national parks and the best in Queensland us Cape York Peninsular. Anyway it is lovely watching your videos .
Been to most of the places you listed in WA, but only went as North as Exmouth. We were getting consistent days in the 40's and living in a rooftop tent, we decided we should head south!
@ It can be so hot especially in summer . You did the right thing heading south . My friend went north in summer and the heat was too much .She ended up visiting The Kimberley another time during winter . You did so well anyway . I hope you can visit more places in Australia , even if it is within the state you are currently living . You make a great narrator and you are well spoken . Keep up the great work you do !
Just stunning and so green is Bali ! Sri Lanka is gorgeous too ! My son has been to Japan and he loved it . Thailand is great too .. I love to visit the Gillie islands . I think you are too use to The Uk and Europe where there is a lot of towns , cities and many countries . The outback maybe boring to you but you can find some amazing landscapes . Australia fascinates me because it is so empty . I travelled the Hay plane in South Australia and people told me it was flat and boring . I loved it because the shy was huge and the sky met the landscape . I saw emu’s and kangaroos too ! It depends how you look at it . I loved to visit the Kimberley in Western Australia, Karajini National Park and the Bungle Bungles . Our best sceneries are in the Outback because the landscapes are so unique . Your vlogs are amazing .
Your videos are so beautiful !I absolutely love Wilson’s Promontory and it’s wildlife . Thank you again for this stunning video !
Lovely video and Western Australia has world class beaches . What time of year were you there ?
They did pull up indeed
Imagine Polish people there
Why?
if u know the bober kurwa and pingvin kurwa memes, u know what i mean
IM GOING THERE NEXT WEEK IM SO EXCITED!!
HOW WAS IT??
@ IT WAS MAJESTIC✨✨
I wouldn't recommend messing up with the carburetor if it is tuned perfectly. Doing something like that would ruin your fuel economy.
I turned the idle adjustment screw, not the air mixture screw. This will have no effect on air fuel ratio and simply holds the throttle open a little bit more at idle to reduce stalling.
Do you know if i can bring an action camera inside the cafe ?
I did!
@@ChrisGoesExploring Thank you Chris. I am heading there this coming Sunday ! So so so excited.
@@michaelfotoshop according to comments on this video there is an online booking system now, it might be worth looking into before you go
@@ChrisGoesExploring hi Chris. Yea I already did the reservation already. So excited.
🎉
Visit sri lanka ❤
❤❤❤❤❤
Don't support places like this. They provide no area for them to swim.
@@MrMountain707 you're probably right.
@@ChrisGoesExploring yeah they are aquatic animals, and they probably like sunlight too. They can't be happy.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I spent there the whole year during pandemic. I had the best time ever❤ Almost no people. Had all beaches for myself. Now it seems crowded and loud 😊
@@luciehawaii Amazing!
So its definitely animal cruelty free
Amazing
Don't u need to make a reservation??
Back when I filmed this, last summer, you were unable to make reservations. This might have changed, contact them and ask
according to their website, they are now reservation only (possible up to two weeks in advance).
what time of year where you there? Thanks for taking the time to make the vid!
July 2023 when I filmed this vid
ok, I pull up
I want to get one in my fam
❤❤❤
I guess the capies understand your voices😂
Amazing video! Looking forward to next animal cafe!
Really healing awesome
OMG they are so cute😂
Is there a way to book the cafe online????
There wasn't back when I filmed this, but there might be now. They have an insta page and a website you can go to. Have fun!
@@ChrisGoesExploring ok cool
How did you cope with mosquitoes? I’m going to explore Ubud and Gili Air in December and will obviously pack a strong deet repellent. How did you find it mosquito wise?
The first time I visited bali I also took super strength deet stuff that I bought in the UK. Ever since then I've just bought the stuff you can buy in every shop in Bali and it works great, smells nice and cost barely anything. It's called Soffell. It contains deet.
Gili Air is nice. Gili T is more for the doof doof meatheads.
smoked some broccoli in my garden when suddenly one of them showed up and showed some teeth..
They want to eat it😂
Hey Chris! Very, very strange that I'm first to comment here! Loved your video and enjoyed seeing bits and pieces of your trip. I am in the beginning process on Planning a trip to WA, flying into Perth for a week or so then driving up to Exmouth to see the lovely beaches. And I'll bring my mosquito net head covering after seeing what you both had to deal with.....yeesh! Thanks for the upload and wishing you all the best in your future travels.
Thanks for the lovely comment. The flies aren't this intense all year around, best to do some research and avoid when it's worst (I was there in late October/ early November). I hope you have an amazing experience, WA is incredible wilderness and pure adventure, I can't wait to get back over there. I HIGHLY recommend a cycle around Rottnest island too while you're in Perth, the quokkas are adorable and the island, though full of tourists, is stunning. Enjoy your adventure! 😀
Thanks for the recommendation Chris! I'll add that to my ever-growing list. The whole country looks incredible, and so huge. And that's saying something cause I'm from Alberta, Canada. Im very envious of the warm climate you guys have haha. We will have to plan for a late Jan or early Feb trip to get a break from the cold winter here and soak up some summer sun. The warmer the better for ocean swimming and snorkeling IMO!
@@Dub5673Insect repellent is important too !
the price of admission fee, is this per person or per group?
Per person
2:50 - where is it???
Gili Air, can't remember the exact place though.
Nice video guys. Do you have to book online a speed boat from Bali ? Thanks
Thanks Gary. You can either book online or via the ticket offices in the video. I personally would rather book via the ticket office to save potential confusion when you arrive. Have fun!
Have a look at horses for Gili. The vet who runs the organisation will give you a qualified education about the horses
They look sad, they're not living happy lives that's for sure.
Vielen Dank!!! ❤ Die Informationen im Video haben uns sehr geholfen, nach Nusa Penida zu kommen. ❤❤❤❤
Das freut uns zu hören! Hoffentlich hattet ihr eine tolle Zeit! :)
I booked the Orion Prince after seeing this. They stopped this route. Still sent me a confirmation email a couple of days before even though they stopped sailing to Gili Air weeks earlier.
Ahh that sucks. When I last went on it they only operated between Gili Trewangan, North West lombok and South Bali. I wasn't aware that they ever ran to Gili Air. I hope you had a great time on the island after you finally arrived though! Thanks for watching mate. Chris
Los amoooo a estos hermosotes Carpinchos !!!
Great video! I'm a very tall guy (2,02 m / 6'7"). Will I be able to drive a tuktuk? What do you think and how tall are you?
Hi mate! I'm 5'10 and it was a tight squeeze. I would say that you would need a modified tuk tuk to get your head in at 6'7.
For night life and partying what would you suggest? TIA
Gili Trewangan. Stay at a hostel called "my mates place" if you're looking for a good party. They also have private rooms.
