In honour of the Japanese GP, I decided to combine two of my favourite things, Formula 1 and the animation style of Studio Ghibli. Over the last couple of weeks I used a bunch of AI tools (Midjourney, RunwayML) to help animate a shot-for-shot remake, with hilariously varying degrees of success. Hi! I have a problem with Octane and Cinema 4d. I have a Macbook pro 2017, I installed Cinema 4d 2024 and I try to install Octane but the tab doesn't appear.
As far as I know the plug in only works for m1 machine, your laptop may be too old for the octane that is installed here!

I render with Octane Standalone and if I export my footage via Batch render job node to exr_linear_sRGB or exr_ACEScg, 'ACES tone mapping' check/uncheck in Octane Imager makes no difference in After Effects. And this makes perfect sense because this settings is only to see (Octane space to ACES 1.2 to sRGB) tone-mapped results in Standalone viewport or to bake them to renders in SDR formats like 8-bit PNGs.
Do you anything about the GPU not being detected? I'm on m1 pro max 64 ram
Hi Thanks For the Trick its great ... I did the process correctly as instructed but my octane render view shows " There is no GPU device which is selected" I am Using MacbookPro M3pro 18GB Sonoma 14.4.1...... is there a way we can fix this?

Hmmm... Strangely enough I followed everything as directed running the new version 2024.3.2 and placing the latest Octane plugins content in the respective folder within applications, but it doesn't seem to recognize it. I'm on Sonoma, but I don't see why anything would be different than the directions in this guide. Any ideas, anyone?
Update: I figured it out. For anyone who was having my problem --- I was using the Lite version of C4D without knowing it. Changing the licensing info to the latest version solved that, and now the error message is coming up as expected.
Work for 2024 as well!! THX!!
