    This sounds like unnecessary wear on the drivetrain. Resetting the throttle body should be easier. I remember a long time ago I would hold the gas pedal down while the vehicle was on but engine off and it reset the idle. I forgot the procedure but it’s much easier and less taxing than this

    OK I just got a 2004 Nissan xterra non-four-wheel-drive. I got it from the original owner, 2 Wheel Dr. once in damn good shape the motor has 244,000 miles on it but I don’t know if it’s original motor I got a find out the serial numbers. I took the oil cap thing off. It’s I loved it was too cold and too clean. It was like new so either he changed his oil way often or it’s a different motor so I gotta find out and but I believe the clutch slave cylinder is bad I need either of us a mask Zellner they’re both parts are really cheap know what I like to know is I like it at the size of the tires cause these are 15s I got on this thing And I like to know the size of the tires you got on that thing cause I’m a look cool in that front bumper looks totally cool and I like to put that on my car even though it’s not a four-wheel-drive but at least give me some more powered case I run into some thing

    • @ijfim
      @ijfim 2 месяца назад

      Alright, sounds like you got a good deal on your Xterra! My truck has 15” x 10” wheels with 33” x 12.5” x 15” Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires. The front bumper is a SHrockworks

    • @rayrayfro4940
      @rayrayfro4940 2 месяца назад

      @ yeah, I know those tires expensive as hell, the BF good rich radial TA as I like to get there like $200 apiece for my size I had them before they have great traction on the wet roads and everything bumper. I definitely like I’m gonna try to get something like that but since your car has it, my car should be able to take it to. I got this car for free cause the guy passed away and I’m still going to the title the last title thing at the DMV. The daughter didn’t want it she wanted nothing to do with that. She abandoned that car plus a Volvo that looked in real good shape except the driver seat and armrest. Otherwise the motor look pretty good too. but I just think it’s gonna be a real good car cause I live in a Ford truck camper and I gotta get out of this thing soon as I get housing. I’ve been in the sink for eight years. I’m using this car for my drive around car since I won’t need the truck camper no more I’m too old getting in and out of this camper. Now I’m probably too old getting in and down on my little car I’m joking. No I think his car is pretty cool and they last a long time or 244,000 miles it’s not that much for a Nissan if it’s the original motor that I’m not sure about because it was too golden underneath the valve cover I mean I need the valve covers are totally clean. It looks like brand new, so I don’t know. I gotta check the serial numbers they should match the dashboard. But I know for a fact he’s the original owner. He bought it in 2004.

    2011 corolla here and I just did my PCV valve and hose change. Car seems to idle better and have a smoother ride. The PCV hose was full of oil which I don’t think it should be soaked that much. Probably the valve was stuck open. Also the intake area was pretty dirty with soot and oil. Ckeaned that up with some throttle body cleaner and some shop towels, changed the intake manifold gasket since I had to remove the manifold to get to the PCV valve(yes it was a kind of a pain). A 8 dollar part that took probably 150 bucks of labor in a shop if I took it in. 🤦🏽‍♂️ Much Mahalo for all your informative content. People like you are a godsend to us who are “fix it ourselfers”.
