Just a girl (with the help of her husband) building out my 6th and 7th Jeep (2005 TJ Rubicon, 1997 TJ, 2007JK Rubicon, 2005 LJ Rubicon, and a custom-built full tube chassis competition buggy). Currently building out two Jeep Gladiators; her 2022 Diesel Jeep Gladiator (Boobicon) and his 2020 Gas Jeep Gladiator in order to get offroad and explore what nature has to offer. All while we travel full time in our class C 4x4 motorhome. You'll also find our road hounds, The Blues Brothers Jake and Elwood, wagging along for the adventure. We hope to share our adventures, projects, and any tips or tricks we have learned along the way.
Jeep JT DIY Transfer case skidplate
When you can't find the skid you need you just run down to Industrial Metal Supply and grab a piece of 6061 aluminum that fits your measurements and create your own. I paired my transfercase skid up with the oil pan skid plate from @ArtecIndustries and also braced it with the factory fuel tank skid bracket. In a pervious project I added UHMW to the @ArtecIndustries oil pan skid I also added UHMW to my custom transfer case skid by countersinking the bolts. By doing this it helps to create a smoother sliding surface.

When running power cords from the inside of the cab to the engine bay it is easier to fold the windshield and have easier access. By removing your freedom tops and 4 bolts you will be able to run your cords to power with a little more ease.

After the initial gear break in it’s time to change the gear oil, and install a LubeLocker in order to prevent any leaks.

Great video! I cursed when I pulled out my driver seat. The dang rear bracket posts in the seat scratched my inner door sill 😅 . I used rubber booties to cover those bad boys for the passenger 💡 😊

Did u have to adjust the pinion angle after the install? I have the same driveshaft and for some reason im getting some driveline vibration when i engage my 4x4.
If she had adjustable upper control arms it wouldn’t have been a problem. You can’t run 6 degrees of caster like the factory wants with a 3+ inch lift. Dialing your caster down to 4.5 degrees will get your pinyon angle back into specs. She didn’t even need to put a new driveshaft in but it was fun to watch.

Break in oil? Lube locker? Can anyone else say derp idk shit and either does the person telling me what to say behind the camera
Are you restarted? There are oils meant to be used during break in for the parts to properly seat into each other, and lube locker is the name of the literal product she’s showcasing. No need to find random crap to pull out of your ass when you wanna bash a random women on the internet.
Yes, when you put in new axles with new gears there is a break-in period. Once it’s reached you need to drain the oil and replace it with fresh gear oil. I’m sorry I accidentally ordered the wrong LubeLocker. I’m sure you’ve never made a mistake, but I am human I make mistakes.🤷🏻♀️
I love seeing comments like this, that show who the real dumba$$ is😂. You do change the gear oil after a break-in period of new gears.

New to these. What’s the difference between a Dana and Dana spicer? Corporate name or it actually a different model of axle?
So, Dana is the Company as a whole and Spicer is a brand name that they use specifically for their axle and driveshaft products.

@@justindaniels17 honestly you can hear the valves rattling on our gas gladiator so we might have this in the future, but dealers say they can’t hear it.
@@Big_Boobicon which engine does it have, the 3.6 pentastar? I have the 2003 Grand Cherokee o/land 4.7 HO and a 2006 5.7 O/land and they a big pain in the rear end
