You mentioned the word Kindle, I automatically subscribe to your channel
Do you find yourself zooming in when reading manga or comics?
I should have probably read reviews before reading it. Very good description, thank you
If your were financially educated, you would know that the RESOURCE-POOR United States dollar is forced on RESOURCE-RICH countries as the WORLD'S RESERVE CURRENCY powering the WORLD BANK funding NATO military weapons investments. EDUCATED WESTERNERS KNOW WHAT THE BRETTON WOODS AGREEMENT WAS ABOUT with Anglo American that founded, owns and controls all of Africa's Central Banks and currencies, as asset portfolios that built the Bank of England, and ever since the Bretton Woods Agreement, western investors qualify for IMF insurance bailouts when African countries have ORCHESTRATED civil wars and conflict... meanwhile your ignorance wants to address 'corruption' in AFRICA. Are you reading books while thinking that resource-poor western countries work on fairy dust!
im in disbelief but my blood is also boiling, im a quarter of the way through and in shock
Name of the ebook reader app
How does it work when it comes to annotations in books? Can you access chapters or just page numbers? I bought it for technical books and I'm waiting for it to arrive.
Great how about text to speech or audio books?
Both of those features work amazing as well. I have dyslexia. Sometimes, I will play an audible book while following a long on the Kindle app. I use text to speech a lot! It works really well.
Thank you for an interesting review…
Great review. I don’t get scare with books but the entire time you feel this tension while reading. There’s one scene when she’s describing an incident she had as a child gave me goosebumps and I did put the book down for a minute, great job by Iain Reid for making me do that. You need more views my man
Great review Harry..how is the PDF reading experience?
Thank you! This is exactly was I was looking for
Reading it now , but having trouble with some side characters, their behaviour changes so drastically. That's why started to watch the reviews 😅. Hopefully it will be explained or tied in later.
I 10000% agree about the unknown captor (I only saw the tv show) i kept trying to guess who it could be. In any story like you said there should be a twist and “shocking” revelation that it’s been a close person all along and we didn’t see it coming. I even thought it could have been the grandfather most of watching it that would have been the horrible best shock value and interesting imo. Very disappointing ending indeed. The rest is amazing and original which makes it even more frustrating…
Your video deserves more views! I didn’t see anyone else talking about it with such details 🙏🏻
Thank you for helping! I want to buy a Galaxy tab S9 mostly for reading, and i'm facing quite some doubt to choose the model, if the standard of the plus
Taciturn is the word you were searching for, regarding Woodrow Call.
📚 I absolutely agree with you! The story is catchy and atmospheric, but not as scary as I first thought. I'm really looking forward to Jason Rekulak's next book, if only for the unique plot development! ✨👀
I have it here by chance Will def read it now Thanks
Is the perp ended in the book as in the movie?
Where i can buy the book?
Just get pdfs from library genesis. Why pay ?
If you have notwatched the TV series, you must. IT is EPIC and does the Book more than justice. Enjoy
Joyce was a nurse,
How do you manage the screen (amoled) in reading? Coz we all know amoled easy to get burn in.
this is tft lcd not amoled
Tab s9 plus is amoled.
Read Lonesome Dove for the first time last month. Most books I hesitate to rank amongst my favorites because recency bias is a real thing. But a month later I'm still thinking about the characters, starting the mini-series and just bought Streets of Laredo.
I thought I was the only one who kept the S2 all these years. I absolutely love it and was hoping Samsung would make a new version with the S9 specifics.
Thanks for the review. Can you provide the name and/or link for your folio case?
I'm an elderly woman living in NY who has probably never read a "Western" novel in her life and I loved it, too! Your review was spot on.
Eye restrain? Conpare oled with e ink?
How is the battery life?
9 and a half hours on torture test.
What do you think of S9 ultra for reading? I think it should be good. I mean, we do still have some [paper] books that size and no one complains. Also, books often weight more than the s9 ultra
0:35 u totally butchered the prononciation there.
I know. Sorry 😢
I am looking for a protective cover that also folds back on itself for reading on the couch or in bed. Does that cover fold back?
Hi, thank you so much for your question. Yes, it does on the horizontal position. In fact, that's how I read it too. There are many other options on Amazon. Sorry about the late replay btw, I have been in China for the last three weeks on holiday.
What about screen brightness / blue light? Doesn't it tire the eyes?
you can adjust all those things to your liking.
Thank you for your question. As the gentleman mentioned below, you can adjust all the to your comfort. I predominantly use it to read, mainly on the Kindle app which has a green screen setting that makes the contrasts with black writings much more committable than the more traditional white screen. Sorry about the late replay btw, I have been in China for the last three weeks on holiday.
A good review which made me watch the whole video and it is very helpful too....thanks sir:)
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it. Sorry about the late replay btw, I have been in China for the last three weeks on holiday.
Watching on my Tab S9+ 😊
😄 love it. sorry about the late replay btw, I have been in China for the last three weeks on holiday.
I liked the content of the video, but the intro is somewhat intrusive.
Hi, thank you so much for your feedback and thank you for watching. I've been thinking about the same thing actually. sorry about the late replay btw, I have been in China for the last three weeks on holiday.
Very nice review. Thank you.
A pure reader tablet like Kindle reader has no distractions to kick you off from reading. The S9 just like iPads with all the bells and whistles have so many things like browsers, movies, games, etc. that can turn off interests in reading.
Si no tienes disciplina si te pasa eso.
That's weird, when I want to read i just do it
This review is exactly what I was looking for. Unlike the author, I opted for the iPad. I like its 4:3 aspect ratio. The Samsung feels like a scroll in portrait orientation and I don’t want to read it in landscape. Also it cannot be held in this position with one hand. I like the look of the iPad system, despite the older display technology, and I enjoy the simple path from unlocking the screen to opening the Books app. The iPad has a history movement. Samsung is still faceless for me.
I don't like the ecosystem of apple. For example, I can download cracked version of any ebook reader on my samsung tablet. On ipad you need to pay for everything.
Ferrari? Not a place….Ferrara
Thank you for the correction, friend.
What app do you prefer, Kindle, Apple Books or Google Play Book?
Hi, thank you so much for watching. I saw your comment below too. I use Kindle as it is the app I have been using for a very long time and am comfortable with it. The other reason is that I love the green background option which I use all the time, it really reduces glaring and makes the reading experience very pleasant. I have a M1 too, I use it to edit photos and videos, it is an area Apple is sooooo good at. But like you, my mobile devices are Android. This is simply because I'm used to android mobile system. TBH, I would prefer the standard Kindle reader but they are black and white. I like book covers and they are wasted on kindle reader.
I forget to mention that the screen on the s9+ is amazing, and I found the s pen very very good. The only downside is that the tab is heavy. So if you want to read long period of time like I do, then I would recommend a stand.
Thanks for your comments, much appreciated! I think S9 (non +) would be the ideal size for me.
Thanks, i was looking for a video loke this. My girlfriend is all-in in the Apple ecosystem, and although I have a MBAM2 and iMac M1, I prefer Android for mobile stuff. So i have a Pixel phone, Pixel Watch 2, etc. Unfortunately, there is not a high end Pixel tablet. In my country we don't have the Pixel Tablet either, so I was looking into buying the Tab S9, iPad Mini or iPad Air. My girlfriend has the iPad Air 4th gen and the screen ghosting when moving from one homescreen to another or scrolling is too distracting, Apple screens are very slow. But I like the devkce overall, except for iPadOS which isn't as intuitive as Android. The Tab S9 with OLED and 120hz display and even better speakers on the 10-11" size category is the nest too. The problem with Samsung is bloatware. I prefer Golgle apps and would like Samsung apps not to be there. I'll wait till around summer to see what comes from Apple and Google, as they might release the Pixel Tablet 2 in my country, or I'll just buy the Tab S9.
I use my S9+ to read as well. The screen is beautiful. 📚
Thanks for watching. Yeah, love the screen quality
Wow. Sounds amazing
Thank you for watching
Good
Thank you for watching
I read it. It is amazing story.
Thank you for watching
The 2 books I liked the most that I read in 2023 were A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara and The Dollmaker by Harriet Arnow. The Dollmaker is very hard to get. I just happened to have an old paperback copy of it. Actually, I had also read it a long time ago. The book I most disliked last year is Snow by Orham Pamuk. I didn't really know what was going on in it most of the time and I really didn't care. I couldn't wait to finish it. I'm probably an idiot because it won the 2006 Nobel Prize for Literature but I didn't like it at all.
I haven't read Snow yet although I have the book. people's tastes in books differ. I hate the Boy in the Strap PJ with a passion although many think it's the best thing since slice of bread. just check The Dollmaker on amazon. Very interesting. Will definitely give it a go. Thanks again for your message.
Thank you. I do recommend The Dollmaker. There was a made for TV movie of it with Jane Fonda as the lead but she wasn't Gerdie for me. It's a book that made me actually sob and I didn't care for the end but I still love the book.@@harrysbookcafe
It's so nice to come across a male book tuber who reads things I might like to read. I enjoy your videos.
