Recently left a cult that tried to weaponize spiritual beliefs into unhealthy mindsets. For one, they were against my being trans, and on top of that they would fat shame others (who were healthy weights) and would doubt if you were doing enough for the community. Although I was only there for 2 months, I have had little desire for the spiritual. I'm slowly dipping my toes back in, but I do miss who I was before. Time to become something better than them and better than my past self

So happy you acknowledged where medicine has its uses! I have a lot of conditions that are incurable (like type 1 diabetes) and I get irritated when people spread the narrative that anyone can heal completely from everything without medicine!
