Great to see some reviews of the Velgarth universe! Winds should always be read before Storms, and Owl after Storms. Then Kelvren's saga. I read Arrows in 1994, and have read all of them at least half a dozen times, except the anthologies. I recommend publication order because there are some secrets and puzzles for the reader to decipher. If you skip around the clues won't make sense! The Founding trilogy should always be last in your reading outside the anthologies. Way too many spoilersà

Thanks for sharing this! I had my heart set on the Moxi Lolly, but when I tried them on in a local store they were extremely narrow on my foot. I was sized for a 5, but my foot felt bound and crippled inside. The size 6 felt better, but I’m worried about ending up with them not fitting properly. Now I’m looking into the GH because they seem much higher quality for a similar price. How do you think the sizes compare in Moxi vs GH? I’m wanting them mostly to do some outdoor rhythm dancing and cruising. Do you think the pink style of GH would be good for this? Thanks so much!

Hey better late than never is my motto. Yay for rereading the Cosmere. I have been having so much fun rereading everything over the last year. Just have Oathbringer, Dawnshard, and Rhythm of War left. I still need to read Sword of Kaigen...I do have it lolol ooof shots fired on Song of Silver Flame Like Night, how very dare you call it just fine (just kidding I know you are still in your slow-paced, character focused, adult fantasy era so I am not surprised it didn't know you socks off because it is none of those things). Is Letter to the Luminous Deep on your radar? I feel like you'd quite like that one

I love this- I have been soing the same to purge books that juts don't mean anything to me anymore. I am also the same with throne of glass- got to queen of midnight, it took 3 years to get to it and I just didn't care anymore! oooh the glass magician looks good! I have definitely fallen for picking up random books just because they're free or cheap before too! I have the opposite problem with fairyloot books- I find it really hard to buy them because people upsell them to actually criminal prices and I just can't justify the cost.

Yeah 🎉 100% behind this! Life is too short, if those books are not calling to you, make way for things that do.

I've been with Illumicrate since December. I've only gotten one box (basically the mandatory one you have to get when you're first accepted), but I've skipped every box since. The special editions are nice, the little trinkets are cool. But I quickly realized I could get 2-4 books I'm genuinely interested in for the same price as these box/book subscriptions that come with a single book that I may or may not be interested in. I've been on FL waiting list for months, but I doubt I'll bite whenever a spot finally opens up. I'll probably drop/cancel my illumicrate sub as well.

This vlog is so cosy but also inspires me to be more productive with all those household tasks I've been putting off haha.

I really wanted to love that book series, and i've read 3 or 4 of them, hoping the writing style would get better for me and no. I feel like my brain gives up and I don't understand anything. So strange!

Great Video. I've loved the Valdemar universe books (with a few exceptions like the Mage War series) since I first read Arrows of the Queen when I was 13 (30 odd years ago!). Though I don't think that being chosen necessarily gives the chosen their gifts/magic. I think the chosen/heralds are born with those gifts (like bards having the bardic gifts and healers having the healing gifts) and part of the reason they are chosen is because they have those gifts. Being Chosen just makes the gift "active" though the bond. I hope that makes sense. I probably won't read Kelvrens Saga (tried the first book and had to dnf it). I can't seems to get into the series about gryphons, vales, hawkbrothers etc (Owlsight being an exception and I think that was mostly because I liked Keisha)

I do sometimes wish that some of the sequels, at least for duologies, would come out with the subscription and weren’t always extra 🙈 with the upcoming throne of glass editions I’ve never wished I had fairyloot more because I would 100% order them but no way they don’t sell out in presale even with the drama lol

I love Lackey's works and I'm steadily working through her whole booklist. I love the Valdemar series, but what I love about Lackey is her ability to create different series, different worlds, with the same richness of writing. I love the Elemental Masters series, the Joust series and the Obsidian series, too.

series are the bane of my life for this exact reason… I just avoid them now which is actually quite sad 😭 also loved this!! 🧡
