There are lots of bad controllers sold as new on the bay. I've never had a working one. It might be the mayflash adapter, but I doubt it as some buttons work. I may have to inspect. I suspect either needs a clean or more likely already opened and damaged

In my experience, Acrylic spray paint tends to crackle after a few months due to changing temps of the case

Your spray painting is absolutely NOT the was to do it. Spray in sweeps starting before the object and stopping past it.

The "PS" logo has grey background, it should be white, to look good. It's ugly like that, cut that one or print a new one

Now you need to paint the controller to match ❤
