Is een Volvo 142 aan te raden als eerste klusproject?

Hi Hans, I did this to my Volvo and the fuel gauge does work now but only when I turn on my headlights. What gauge wire do you recommend and does the thickness of the wire matter for this job? Copper wire or can it be a basic wire? Thanks.

One thing: If you remove the condenser, the electronical engine fan won't work and will make the engine fail starting. How do I solve this?

Same car, different problem. Very little pressure on rear brakes. Everything new. No abs model. Any ideeas? NO stupid answers like "bleed for air" - please, someone who really knows what they are doing.

Nice job.. Just one little tip.. test bulbs before you replace cover, just incase they don’t work for some reason! Saves taking cover back off. 👍

I also have a wideband o2 sensor on my car with dual Weber 40s. What sort of air fuel ratios are you shooting for at idle, cruise and wide open throttle? They definitely seem to be happiest in the mid to low 12s from my experience . That would be very rich on an efi but I guess not for carburetors

Hi Hans, thanks for the clear video. I had to change the main turn signal light but followed all the same steps (including the quarter turn to lock the bulb into place). However, once I plugged everything back in, the entire headlamp no longer turns on. I’ve checked all the bulbs, the fuse box (all three) and made sure the bulbs were all secured… Any ideas what I might have done or am missing? Thanks in advance for your help!

Good result. Handbrake is probably partial seizure of parking brake shoe expander inside the parking brake drum. If you have an oil leak, hope it is not the sump gasket. If it is, you may as well have the front subframe powder-coated when it is off. I didn't lower my 940. I fitted Bilstein B6 and plan to finish with extra bracing rather than lowering.

I think that some of the dust comes in along the bottom edge of the rear doors. This would come from the front tires throwing it back as you drive. The mud guards you installed will keep dirt from getting in along the back edge of the door. I have ordered these guards and will be installing them soon for my xc60

Only Saab would engineer a brake system like this and like no other, totally unique! Think they were aliens, homoSaabians!

Should I swap the gray CAP that my xar was fitted with to a green CAP, the old one is set to around 0.65 bar and the green one is set to around 1,5 bar

How are the bearing going? I used a cheap bearing and regretted it within a year. Only use genuine named brands like Fag, or you will be doing this job again within 2 years.

It's good to know that it finally works properly, I have mine a little disassembled because one of the bolts on the thermostat housing broke and I couldn't get it out. and i have to replace some old burned hoses and the faulty temp sensor

My 940 b230fk has had a developing problem of the car just shutting down when idle or when pressing clutch when coming to a stop. No resistance or anything, just dies completely and then often times starts up but sometimes it does not start up at all, it will only start again after you hear the fuel bump buzzing. I have replaced fuel filter and checked for leaks, both good. Gonna replace relay next, hopefully it fixes it.
