@ I mean. Yeah. But. So could every other company. Just cause they could. Doesn’t mean they should. If Nintendo games were on iPhone. Every single one of them would be full of micro transactions as there’s no way people would pay £50 for a mobile game. You would also lose the ability to play on tv without any delay Playing with friends would also be much more tedious. As instead of joining a friend through the switch itself. You’d need to add the friend in each game you play together first.

You would also lose access to many games over the years as once updates stop for a game. It will either be removed from the store. Or be unsupported by newer generations of iPhones. You’d have to live knowing you won’t be able to play those games forever. Imagine if Pokémon legend Arceus was on iPhone. And then I’m a few years you jsut can’t play it. And there’s no way to play it. You can’t dig out your old console and slap the game in. Cause it’s gone. You can’t find a copy online or in stores cause it was never physical. The best you can do is possibly spend thousands just to buy a pre owned phone with the game still installed. (And that’s not an exaggeration. You remember how much phone with flappy bird sold for back in the day) And since most people sell their phones when they upgrade, you can’t even keep the old iPhone to play the game on. I mean. You coudk in theory. But are you really going to keep 10 or 20 or 50 or how ever many phones without ever selling them?

I know they do. They tried it and then suddenly stopped. If you watch the full video behind this short its maybe clearer but the point is this. We're going wild about the Switch 2 when in actual fact everything it represents is already in our pockets. If you let monopolies dictate innovation you get to the point where we have no innovation and we go down this incremental hype path we seem to be on.

@ I think your just describing everything wrong with monopolies but none of what you say has to be that way. Crossplay does work across devices, it doesn't work today because everyone demands a cut for doing very little (Apple included) You can connect an iphone to TV with airplay or dock your phone like you would a console to a TV that works with USB C.

I wouldn't say buy an ipad for this but equally i havent come across a better option that doesnt involve an Ipad. One thing I've done is you just need a digital whiteboard you can join a call on your ipad as a second device and screenshare the ipad and just doodle in notes or whatever drawing app you want.

@@timfngwena Thank you Tim. More specifically, I'd like to draw on a Google Map, a chart, or other visual. Using a pencil is much easier than a mouse, and after I posted this question, I then discovered Apple's Universal Control.

@timfngwena oh interesting. I almost pulled the trigger on one last Friday but wanted to sample reviews before I FOMO buy something that's not worth the buck. How about the lack of backlight, has that been part of why you don't play it as often as you had hoped ?

@@1anre yes to be fair it has because you need decent lighting but I'm a dad of 2 kids under 3, fully time professional have this channel and my other channel. If you no life the games that come with the season you'd finish them over the course of about 6 months and then after that the online store has a ton of games but its the nicest console I have and I know Panic the developers via web development so there's some brand loyalty in my like for the device. I'd say a Nintendo switch has more mileage if your looking for value.

There’s some truth to this. I think this is a seed device out there so they’re not perceived to be falling behind Meta who already have a great attainable priced device in the market. For all intents and purposes spatial computing is just Vr and Ar combined.

Its a youtube video on green screening just google "green screen photos photoshop" although its getting much easier to not even have to green screen. I started recently using my mac in the latest apple os you can do subject extraction in image preview.

This is more organic and leaves annotations on the screen. especially in the middle of a zoom or team call. Cleanshot only does this in screenshots or while recording.

I find Loom sort fo weird but I know its popular. I also use cleanshot for screen shots many times a day so its far more sticky.

I do that in post for more control in video editing software. That's the industry standard way fo doing that. My video is an opinion. Welcome to disagree.

NO settled right down. I added a note in the video right after installing bios update and drivers. Only time I hear the fan is during something intensive and it'snot MacBook pro levels of nice fan noise but its also not awful for the price and power your getting

@@rank1baptiste yeah exactly, you can research which of the CPUs has the lowest heat ouput. I had to get i7 12th gen top spec but youmgiht get away with a cooler less power hungry chip. AMD is a strong option too.

You can choose your save location so if you have Google drive on your machine yes. That’s how I do my setup. I have a specific folder in Google drive for screenshots and videos and that’s synced with Google drive using Google drive app.

Yes, it can. I use this alot, but it's labelled as a Beta. I find if you have many other things also requesting internal audio like, say, Audio Hijack and this, then it can be buggy on the odd occasion, but I've always had a warning. Otherwise, just a simple recording works every time.

I always do this in post on my recordings for consistency and also better resolution scaling than the accessibility features allow. You can also crop and highlight if you do things this way. I think it also supports mac os accessibility zoom shortcut during a recording as the recording only captures whats on screen.

Not during recording. You can move it around whilst recording. just click and drag it, and it snaps to one of 8 positions around your screen. You can choose the size and shape before you start recording. 5 sizes 3 shapes so 15 combinations to work with.

@@marvineckert Correct. If you click the overlay the only thing it can do is go fullscreen as I do at the start of my video in reverse, I click out of fullscreen to overlay mode. And you can move it around. Unless I missed a shortcut somewhere bt I doubt it

some advantages but many caveats, 1 where are the two separate audio tracks and why cant you edit the levels of the mixc vs Mac audio? , 2 where are all the videos in the history stored taking up all the space ? wonder if you can answer these questions

​@@OfficialFatLip on point 1 you can edit levels and control how much of each gets mixed after the video stops getting rerecorded. that was added and enhanced after I made this video. I used to do this in post in davinci resolve it recorded 2 channels. Videos in history are stored in the app directory macs store all these types of files under the library directory but you can change this. I point my recordings to google drive so don't use the history feature at all. i just have a script that clears the folder 2 weeks after the file is created as usually I'm done editing or don't need screenshots.

@@OfficialFatLip timestamp? I trigger a recording and hit the fullscreen on my facecam to capture that and the screen recording . this saves me having to stop recording and start again and is much easier to edit.

@@timfngwena this app uses the least cpu power/memory cause whenever i run a guitar sim the other apps gargle the audio, sounds like mouth wash 😝
