Great Video, Im trying to make a mod of our formula student car. The problem i have is that my CM showroom wont update when i hit save. This makes it hard to moddel the suspension. Do you have a explination for this?

interesting how this video seems to be getting a lot of views now. Please note that this old AYC was not working properly or realistically, I didn't know what I was doing at the time and had the placebo effect thinking it was fine at the time. I have actually made a lot more accurate AYC and even the ACD system for newer evos using real world data from an actual evo ECU and lua scripting (and I actually made sure it was doing something/behaving correctly this time lol). Apparently, not all Assetto Mods have the "Unpack LOD KN5" available when you go into the showroom in CM developer mode. I have CM in developer mode, and can unpack most cars, but the one I'm wanting to play with won't give me that unpack LOD KN5 option... Is there another way to do this?

I appreciate sharing knowledge and caring enough to stay up all night to make the vid. Thank you. There is actually a science to suspension design and tuning and all of the numbers in the suspension.ini file make complete sense to a suspension engineer. I enjoy watching Sam testing changes and evaluating them. I have learnt so much myself doing the same thing. One important parameter that was not mentioned in the suspension Kinematics discussion was the bump steer which is the variation in toe angle of the wheel with suspension movement. This is affected by the location of the tie rod. I use acti and motec i2 to review this value in the logged data. This is also a real world tuning problem especially on cars with stick suspension.

Just a tip for everyone watching, you can hit the T key in the showroom to move the points and than save them. Its way gastar than typing the values
