Thanks so much for this interview; I'd be so starstruck talking to Jim that I'd forget what to say! Horner was woven into the fabric of my youth growing up in the 80s and 90s alongside his career, to the point that I came to appreciate films as an accessory to his music, rather than the other way around. Even as a wee lad seeing Wrath of Khan with my parents and knowing absolutely nothing about the art and science of film scoring, his Korngold-inspired motifs that married the golden era of Hollywood with experimental modern synths stuck with me longer after the credits rolled. It's so sad that Cameron only worked with him three times because their collaborations were unstoppable forces of nature. It was so lovely that Franglen carried that legacy forward and honored Jamie as a friend and collaborator in the studio and on the screen. Was also totally enamored with Pinar Toprak's work on the Frontiers of Pandora game, which really took me by surprise. She also carried Jamie's thematic torch in a fresh and uncharted direction that I would love to hear so much more of. If you ever get the opportunity to speak with her, don't decline! I'd like to think that the creative landscape of the Avatar franchise will continue to be paid forward with other talents; it would be awesome to see different composers step up to leave their mark on the saga, rather than having the same folks helming every chapter. My biggest hope for the franchise is that each entry be as distinct as possible from its predecessors and able to stand apart from what came before, rather than relying on its priors too often that they become creative crutches. Even Jim states this when he mentions their aim was to approach the music production with open ears by considering different composers, and there's no reason that would exclude Franglen because he'd be working in collaboration with them just as he worked in collaboration with Jamie for decades. If it hasn't happened already, someone needs to pull Jim aside and tell him that Pinar deserves to helm at least one of her own Avatar feature film scores! 💙

Caetano Veloso is a legendary and powerful singer. Pedro Almodovar also used him brilliantly in Habla Con Ella. When I watched Challengers, and his version of Pecado started playing, I was stunned!

I'm yet to see an interview where Jon M Chu talks about Maguire's brilliant novel that created this new version of Oz. He talks like Stephen Schwartz created "Wicked" from scratch. Maguire is a brilliant writer who deserves more recognition for his creation.

The first interview I’ve seen where Prince and his music in the film have been noted. Well done.

Jon and Stephen did a good job of overcoming Winnie's bad writing, frankly speaking. The two of them have such great ideas but her writing is not on the same level.

This was an excellent show. Keira really played it well. The whole cast was excellent. The Irish hit woman was absolutely brilliant.

This movie was so fucking bad I can't believe it's even in the same sentence as "award" let alone sweeping 10 Golden Globes nominations. Zoe is a good actress as always, but this was so bad I thought I was being trolled as I watched. I can't believe this... The same critics that snubbed a film like Babylon praise this bullshit.
