Wow... I am blown away, they all look amazing!
Any chance you make tutorials?
This is amazing! Thank yoi
Beautiful!! Hopefully you can do tutorials for some of these! :)
Hi. Luminous Could you please make a detailed tutorial on protein 3D structure in blender.
amazing 👏 ❤
your blender version. Kindly mention plz
It is mentioned in the description in the video.
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! cannot tell u how beautiful it is and not too difficult to do.. will try to follow it and ask my students to make presentations for their molecules that I have assigned them in my organic chem course
Happy to hear that the tutorial is useful! And I hope your students have fun with it too :)
i want it as png image wiithout bg ?? how i do ??
I have a tutorial on how to do that as well. It is called "Chemistry L11: Composing, shadow catcher and transparency and outlines in Blender"
smashing stuff
Amazingly beautiful
Can you make tutorials how to design animal cell or plant cell
Heyyyyyyyy.....i watched your vedio....i followed all the steps ....but i am not able to export this in .obj file in ppt..... When i am exporting it is not coming traparent....although i have removed the plane....render engine is in cycle....but still it is not exporting transparent
Hi! With .obj you unfortunatly can not save all materials. Try the following: Instead of using glass as a material, use Principled BSDF Shader and decrease the alpha value (to increase transparency). It will not be perfect, but you get a decent amount of transparency. Hope that helps!
@@LuminousLab thankyou......for suggestion...
Very well explained!
what if I want to make the width varied
That's amazing! Thank you for the tutorial. All the success for you.
Thanks for ccoming back
Nice video thank you , i just want to say that the voice is very low
Thank you for the feedback! You are right, I definitely need to adjust the volume next time.
Very happy to see a new video from you! Great content as usual, will use this in my next presentation.
Thank you, such a wonderful video. Thank you for taking time to make this video and share your knowledge.
Your videos don't get enough views. By at least a factor of 10!
Thank you for your kind words 😊
Thank you for this! Looking forward to more tutorials
You are welcome!
I can't change colors:(
Oh no! Can you give me more details? Where can't you change the colors? In Blender? It could be that you don't see the change of the color, because you are not in render mode. Try pressing "Z" and select "Rendered". Is the color change now visible?
When I want to save the file as an obj format, its color does not change and remains unchanged in the PowerPoint, which I need for my thesis😢
@@hanisoly That is strange. To narrow down the problem, can you give me more info: Does the color change work in Blender? Which version of Blender are you using?
When I click on Z, it renders correctly, but when I save it as an obj file, it is not colored and appears in monochrome. I want to have colors and models specified when rendering as an obj file. I am using Blender 4.1.
@@hanisoly I retested the workflow now with multiple files and I never encounter that error. What you can try is to export your file as a .glb file from Blender. That should contain the colors as well, but the material options are limited. But at least the colors should be fine. Other than that it is hard for me to say what went wrong. If you want you can send me your .wrl and .obj files (and maybe the Blender file) to askluminouslab@gmail.com and I will test and inspect them.
Your videos on visualizing chemical and protein structures are absolutely amazing! 🌟 Your ability to make complex concepts so clear and engaging is truly impressive. I'm learning so much from your content and can't wait to see more. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏 I really like your videos !!!
Aw, thank you so much for your kind words! I am really happy that the videos are helpful.
Thank you for sharing this! This can be a very valuable tool. I wonder if this can be applied to proteins as well and use transition/morphing to make simple molecular animations within PowerPoint.
You are welcome! Yes, it works with proteins as well. I am in the process of making a separate tutorial for this, since coloring involves some extra steps. But the basic workflow is the same (just that you start for e.g. Pymol).
Unfortunately Avogadro do not support 64 bit
I run it on a Windows 11 computer and do not encounter any problems but I'll look into it.
How ....🧐
miss, can u do the burrette please, i really need it for my thesis🥺☺
Thank you. And how to separate bonds?
This is absolutely what I was looking for... Excellent video, thank you for your labour.
Hello, Thanks for all your videos, they're really usefull. I'm just wondering on how you got this kind of structure at the beginning for your protein. The surface of your protein is really smooth, a bit like a cloud. In many of your videos you start with this king of rendering, when your protein, nucleosome or anything else are in this type of render, but I don't really get how we can do the same. For exemple in your three videos on how to load a biomolecule from PyMol, Yasara and Chimera at the end the protein is not rendering the same then what you're using for this video. At some point I saw that you import a structure from a wavefront, is it the only thing I need to do to get the same surface on my protein ? Hope that's clear enough. Will be really nice from you if I can get an answer, cheers !
Hi! I hope I understand your question correctly (if not, let me know). This structure was prepared with Yasara. Another difference between this and the other videos is that I use EEVEE as a render engine here, while for the other tutorials I use Cycles, so the styling is different. In general you can smoothen out the surface by right-clicking on the surface and select "shade smooth", but the material and lighting have a huge influence as well. For example in this video the material creates that kind of see-through effect. I hope that helps!
Thank you so much for your videos! Those helped me create amazing models that are usable in physics simulation.
Thank you for you kind feedback! Happy to hear that it helps!
Thank you for this tutorial! It’s really good! I’ve been able to emit the flowers from a cube, however, I haven’t been able to emit them from a DNA strand made with molecular nodes. I think it’s because the DNA strand is not a mesh, it’s a curve and I can’t emit from it. Was your initial protein a mesh? I have tried converting the DNA strand from curve to mesh, bit it disappears. Do you know a way around it?
Great video! Really helpful info :) Question: In the first image (Cell Journal) of the protein engineering, how did you create the effect of the green "dust particles" appearing to fall (referring to the blurrines and the unfocused trail of the falling green dust)?
Hi, how powerful a computer do I need for these rendering? Is it possible on a normal laptop?
Excellent tutorials, thank you so much for sharing! I was wondering if you might know of any Blender tutorials out there for animating a cell internalizing something like an antibody? I've been able to create some nice looking cells with lipid bilayer, but getting the cell surface to internalize on object has been a challenge. Thanks in advance!
The link is not working. Please someone share the file. Thank you.
It was amazing. Thanks Is there any way for exporting it as fbx file?
Funny cute animation :) I'm just getting started and now I realize how much work this takes!
This was super helpful! Thank you!
With proteins having such a complex structure, let no one babble on about "they were in water and then they started to come together randomly and life began".
Thank you for developing such a beginner-friendly course.
Thank you so much!
I am writing this for a warning for others. In 4.0, I was using the default EEVEE render engine for emissions. It is awful looking squares of light around the glass balls that look nothing like this. You need to use Cycles to get the nice effect. I almost restarted with version 3.0 but solved it. Render options are in the column of icons, 2nd from the top, it the rear of a dslr camera icon. Below the wrench, screwdriver.
Thank you for pointing that out. Yes, EEVEE and Cycles handle emission completely different, hence I mention at 9:08 that this rendering is done using Cycles.
Thanks a lot. Really appreciate that.
Hi thank you for the video. I am facing difficulty in switching between different view , could you please help me to turn on render view ?
Hi, its an amazing video, although I wanna make DNA holiday junction, can you please help
