How do you beat press coverage running the veer and shoot?

What play books have rpo flat?

Love the video coach, most of the users I play have option set to conservative force handoffs which defeats most of the good option plays. Any advice for ways to deal with contain defenses or do we just give up the option? I've found that option handoff runs mostly don't go places.

Hey coach I have a question. So I’ve come to be pretty good at running this offense. My only weakness that I’ve noticed in running it, is when my wideouts get pressed and there is a good user in the middle of the field with somewhat of a stacked box. How do you beat man press coverage with this offense against a team that has half decent corners? And I’m referring to corners without the jammer ability,or any abilities at all for that matter. USC would be my go to example.

I run the Y Off Trips with GT. The Flat Read for your QB run and Bubble Pop for the TE is all you need!

If you go wide stack deep choice no play action look at the left receivers one guy runs just a straight streak and gets open a lot of the time I usually call that when I’m looking for my shot play

Question for you. Would you entertain the idea of taking requests for a school and look through their playbook and come up with useable scheme for them? I really want to play with App State online but their playbook has never matched my play style, and I am not smart enough to figure out what they have that can work. In my dynasty with them I use a custom play book merging the duo formations with the veer and shoot wide sets. In CUT I have the Tennessee and UNLV playbooks to use.

I love this, quick question- how do you beat Cover 3 Match? The 6 man front covers the run and since it's match principles it plays the RPO bubble / WR screens really well. I'd appreciate it for the wide splits or otherwise

Another gem in the veer and shoot. Also when they gon upgrade my boys we #7 in country and still like a 83-85 overall team crazy

These schemes are always good against average competition and will get you wins. But against great players they will shut this down quickly

Good stuff, Coach Ron! I love your vids and how you calmly explain the concepts in a way even I can understand them. Also, I've been playing around with the Oregon playbook and love the Shuffle plays. Maybe an idea for a future vid.

I feel like deep zones are glitched lately. They’re getting burned where they shouldn’t be way too often after one of the latest patches. Happens to me all the time against the CPU and I’ve started resorting to double mug man blitz cheese against the CPU.

My issue with scrape exchange is still that it should be configurable instead of just high play recognition by the CPU. Imagine seeing a scrape exchange and then blowing the defense wide open with a Midline Read or Inverted Veer…punishing excessive use of scrape exchanging. CFB 26?

I have really enjoyed your videos and they have helped me a lot. I’m an old guy who doesn’t have a lot of controller skills. You sort of sent me down a Veer & Shoot rabbit hole which lead me to discover a Gun - Wide mini scheme that I haven’t really seen you talk about yet (sorry if I missed it). I would love to share it with you and see what you think…. I primarily play in Dynasty on All-American. The 4 plays are: Gun - Wide - HB Quick Base, Slot Fade, X Rub Under and All Curls HB Quick Base is the best run play in the game imo. Easy chunk plays vs 5 in the box… just follow the pulling Guard. I always run it toward the middle of the field. If the put an extra man in the box then just audible and throw it over their head to a slot WR. I put my two fastest WRs in the 3rd and 4th positions on the Depth Chart. In any case… I would love to see you take a look at it and see if it works as well for you as it does for me. OH MY GOD did I need that motion tip to deal with the glitchy weak side ends. So tired of them chasing down 95 speed running backs after going mysteriously unblocked.

Speed option kills mid blitz everytime

For a smaller team with a Tennessee feel, try Texas State. They have several of the wide formations with a really powerful offense. I got so sick and tired of playing the same teams over and over again as Tennessee. Now, I play as Texas St vs mainly Tier 3 and Tier 4 schools. Get a lot more variability and can still run a similar scheme to Tennessee. Only thing you will be missing is Bunch Quads. They also have some Tight formations with 11 personnel that you can come out in to start and then audible to any of the wide formations with an h back, really stresses defenses.

Man I’ve got all the notifications turned on but missed this live somehow. Idk if you’ve messed it with it yet, but shotgun wide offset, RPO all hitch is money.

Coach your videos and break downs are different from everyone else's . Keep it up coach so indepth and it's like I'm in a film room

They fixed the play action bug yesterday so you can use all those passes again as non play action by hot routing the running back. Opens up other pass play options if you want.
