Smoking the Havana castle Cuban edition right now a very nice smoke! As holds on for half the cigar and great flavour
Excellent vid AromatiX. Great to see you again. Thanks a lot. If I´ll make a blend, my special blend to smoke in cigarettes, this method is highly recommended. Have a great week ahead.
I don't know how I've missed that video... To me it smells of roses, in fact I think they use the same scent on their brown flake "A". Great tobacco, no doubt! Enjoy your smokes!
The worst thing about cigarettes is actually the paper, because if you roll them yourself you can use ANY tobacco you want, even cigars, inhaling the smoke is also a personal choice. I used to smoke cigarettes long time ago, then I transitioned to hand rolling tobacco using the thinnest paper I could find, but I haven't smoked these in over 5 years. The machine looks legit though 😊, but If i had to do it I'd still use the hand rolling method. Regards
That's definitely not. How you roll a cigar? That's his method, which is most likely a good cigar but definitely not like that
The best rollers use a method called entubado which I have done on a video as well and that is probably the way you have seen but accordian and book are also very popular methods as too. I was showing this way of rolling to help beginners to make a smokable even cigar with very little experience . Do you smoke cigars? What are some of your favorites?
For the best experience with a cigarette tube injector, chop the leaf up into small bits. When I want cigarettes, which is rare these days, I use an injector machine, and can make a pack in about 3 minutes if the leaf is chopped well. If it's not, it will jam the machine, slowing the process down.
@@LifeWithAPipe Good advice. A pack in 3 minutes sounds pretty efficient!
I have an electric injector too and I use it all the time saves a lot of time. I've bought it several years ago on Amazon and it's great.
I have heard good things about them and I'm sure I would do the same. Thanks for sharing.
❤
Coooool 😊😊😊
Neat little gadget.
Interesting, Jeff. thanks for sharing. I’m interested in making them with certain pipe tobaccos for the winter months when I’m not outside that long to smoke a full pipe
I've just got one of those Make Your Own cigarette makers, very similar to this. I've made up cigarettes with pipe tobacco before using less fancy devices, but I find this new device easier to use. I've made up a few cigarettes recently but combined rolling tobacco with pipe tobacco. It works really well!
I just got an electric tube injector after using a hand cranked one for a long time. It works super well.
If I smoked cigarettes on a regular based I would do the same.
Interesting!
Yeah, neat little gadget.
That is so cool I'll take a carton😅
I'm not a cigarette smoker but I must admit that smoking even my fresh Virginia tastes quite a bit better than the comercial stuff imo. And yeah a carton would take me all day lol.
@@aromatix5741 bro you got to out-source that work to chinese sweatshops
lol
Hi Jeff, I would be interested in trying anything of your home grown tobaccos and am in MB.
I'll get back to you after I finish up processing my leaf. You can email me as well
Great! Yes, it will be nice to try them individually! I'll get more seeds this year and see what I'll come up with 😂 Regards
what tobacco leaf is good for cannabis?
I would guess Pennsylania Broadleaf or a dark fired virginia or dark fired burley.
I can’t get anything to grow except herbs and peppers, so it’s always interesting to see folks who grow tobacco. Maybe I wouldn’t kill it😂
I hear its close to growing tomatoes. I hardest part for me was the seedlings but even that is not too bad as you can always just germinate more :). Wind will rip up leaves and bugs can be a problem as well.
I’m interested in your cigar leafs. I’d be willing to set up a channel to start reviewing. I’d mirror your fumas video. And start from there. Can Cover Shipping. LMK. :) I’m a huge fan of broadleaf maduros.
I'll get back to you after I finish up processing my leaf. You can email me as well.
Really interesting stuff. I want to try this for the winter time when it's too cold outside to smoke a pipe for more than a few minutes at a time. So which do you recommend for RYO - using paper to wrap it or tubes and some sort of machine? Curious as to your thoughts on that. Thanks!
@@pickingandpiping Great video idea, I'll show you a great easy and cheap way to do it. I'll do a video up in the next few days
@@aromatix5741 Thanks. Look forward to it.

Subbed. Looking forward to your review.
Some people just born with green thumbs, you good on dealing with raw leafs . My harvest didn't get leader like was difficult to dry end up very thin leaves, I vacuum to avoid mould and it's pressed and aging for posterity. Good educational video!
Hey Jeff, would love to try a bit for sure! Would be happy to cover costs for shipping to Vancouver- would like to try to burley in the pipe and cigar leaf for cigars 😝 Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Hoping you had a good long weekend!
If you send me your info I will gladly send you some samples to try after I process the leaf. aromaticx.x@gmail.com , and I better see you smoking it on your channel :) Hope you had a great long weekend as well.

🤗🤗👍👍👍
Virginias love to be aged anaerobically.
So I have heard. This years crop will probably just be aging in jars and bags for the rest of their life, so we will see how that turns out.
As a fellow Canuck I'd be honoured to sample and review your leaf. It'd would be a first video review for me. Interested in your local Delhi VA strain. I'm mainly a Va smoker. Cheers
If you send me your info I will gladly send you some samples to try after I process the leaf. aromaticx.x@gmail.com Would make for a great first video :)
Good looking crop Jeff! I know you feel proud:)
Hey Randall, I'm definitely happy how most of the leaf turned out and am looking forward to seeing how the other leaf smokes. Especially the Corojo medio tempo :)
@@aromatix5741 I’m looking forward to the video!
Sounds great. I was thinking of trying some RYO cigarettes this winter with pipe tobacco for quicker smokes.
Pipe tobacco can make great RYO . Have you seen my pipes vs cigarettes video?
@@aromatix5741 No, I'll have to check it out though.
Awesome video, my friend! I need to get myself some seeds :) I have a channel and wouldn’t mind trying some tobacco, and doing a review:) thanks for doing this

I'd like to try the red Virginia. I'm going to try to grow some next yr.ive got a channel and I'd be interested in doing a review on it.
Sounds good, just let me process all the tobacco and I'll send you out a sample. Here is the email if you want to send me your shipping info. aromaticx.x@gmail.com
I’ve never had MB’s roll cakes, but ODF is the best DFK of all time, imho. With that in mind, would this be worth it for me to import at a 33% premium? Thanks, Jeff!
Yes. This or Stockton is a great choice. There is no other company that does dark fired the way MacBaren do. It is Brown sugar hickory sweet. The only thing is there is a chance of tongue bite although I remember Royal Twist being more gentle than some other twists.
This year’s was so tasty to me, I somehow ended up with eight tins
What did you think of your whole leaf kit blend? Also how long do you rest these after you roll
@@LordNotlek Honesty, I purchased a bunch of leaf just after that and never really did use just the tobacco in that particular kit. As far as resting my cigars ,I'll dry box them for a day or two then smoke one to test it. I roll my cigars pretty dry so they are pretty much smokable right away. I would say six months or more would be ideal but I make so many small batches and many blends so its hard to say how aging more than a year would change the cigar. As they usually don't last that long lol.
I grabed a bag of that on the Rez. Its not bad its great to add a bit on top of an English blend.
@@7furbag Cherry and latakia actually sounds pretty tasty.
@@aromatix5741 its very tasty
If you like Factory Throw-outs sweets, then you'd probably also like White Lightning sweet crooks. They're rum-cured, mellow and mild, and, if you buy a box of 50, even with taxes and shipping, they'll only cost about $2 per cigar.
Geranium rose is one plant. Just saying…
Oh and by the way, this is my favourite tobacco !
Sorry for late reply, I looked it up and you are right! I did not know there was a plant called Rose Geranium. And yeah great tobacco. Thanks for the info.
@@aromatix5741 cheers
Sounds interesting, but not enough to replace burley/Perique blends I already have.
@@ParsimoniousPiper I'm a bit disappointed in this one, love the cut and presentation but it's a bit bland. What are some of favorite va/bur/pur blends?
I’m a Haunted Bookshop nut, but other good ones are OJK, H&H Delta Days, Milan’s Diplomat, and more. And then there are VA/Per/KY, a number of which I also enjoy.
I got it. I've smoked 4 bowls so far. Not blown away, but not bad. I little mild for my taste.
@@backwatermn2758 this is one of my reviews where I feel I should have smoked it more to get a better feel for it. I wouldn't describe it as mild myself but more like bland or flat. Maybe would have benefited with a slight molasses topping or something .. thanks for sharing!
Great to see you again AromatiX. Thanks. Have a great weekend ahead.
Hey long time! I was getting worried lol. How's things?
@@aromatix5741 Thanks for asking! Everything it´s OK Aromatix, Thanks.
Interesting take! Man ever since Covid if there’s a perique component in a blend it just almost overwhelms me. Man I hope my perique meter dies down in the future!
Yeah I'm not too happy with this review, it was kinda rushed. Most of the time my first impressions are dead on but I feel I may have to redo this one. I do remember noticing the perique on the first few puffs but not as much after.
Have you considered going all gas, no brakes on the Perique for a week with something like C&D Exclusive? Might shock your system back to normal
@@Orochi_001 NOPE! LOL But that's def a thought! :)
i bought the grey one before discovering that it was actually pink and that im colour-blind
Pink is OK as long as you are secure in your manhood hehe.
Definitely my favorite tobacco
@@PonderosaPiper it's a classic for a reason.
@@aromatix5741 Indeed.
When I first tried Bayou Morning, I was still a beginner pipe smoker. It nearly burned up both my mouth and nose on retrohale with the peppery spice. I left it jarred for about a year and went back to it after that. It has become my standby, cannot be without pipe tobacco. Funny you mentioned it being buttery smooth. Without getting that elsewhere, that is how I describe it. I even get a bit of a buttery flavor mixed with lemony, citrusy, peppery, sweet and smoky. It is a fantastic tobacco but may take some acclimation for inexperienced pipers.
We are definitely in agreement. Nice assessment.
Thumbs down for no follow up
@@Whatyoutakinbout Follow up link is in the description
I’m a novice for the cigars so I’ve been taking advice from others as Carolina Rose most kindly and generous sent me some to start my journey. Truckin piper Bob advised me to have them at 69% so his advice has been heeded and that’s how they are.
Great guy to get advice from. Any favorite cigars yet?
Morning, I sit mine at 69%, could probably leave them out in our country, due to the constant high humidity damp grey uk 😂😂😂
Man this was the most FRUSTRATING thing about cigars when I used to be heavily involved with them. Good info. Thanks buddy!
Yes for sure, cigar storage is a pain. I like the look of a nice wood humidor but they are annoying to babysit. Pipe tobacco is great, jar it , forget about it
Hi I keep mine in the lower 60s too 👍🏻
Nice!
Cool video Jeff. I’ll have to check out the older one.
Probably a moot point now as I pretty much summed it all up in this video. Feel free to watch them if you want though:)
From my experience, you are spot on with your conclusions mate. Slightly dryer has always served me well. 🗿👍
Great you agree!
