Why do we need to rely only on specific audiologists, why can't we choose our own audiologist, that can program the lyric to our own needs then in the future do our own self replacement until we need program adjustments based on our hearing level changes? I live in a city that does not have a provider that works with lyric so I would need to drive to nearby larger cities that offer such audiologists and in our busy life, that is not practical for me. I have been wearing hearing aids for decade and I won't have issues replacing my own lyric whenever needed, so why the need for an out of town distant aufiologis, why can't it be our audiologist programing lyric to our needs in our own town, then practicing self replacement until change in program is needed?

I am trying a pair of Rexton iic hearing aides from Costco which I heard were the same as the Signia X 7 and they work really well. They have the battery in them, I would prefer the rechargeable.
