VLM in VPX Video 8 Room and Ball Brightness
Very good presentation, but it's practically useless without the documentation to cut and paste from. I'll have to find it in another table that already has Fleep enabled and steal it from there.
Is there a way to remove elements from Tales of the Arabian Nights such as spelling HAREM, HAREM sneak-in, or saucer of harem bonus.. I really needed to to that
Nice Video. Very clear instructions and worked first go trialling on an original table. Thanks Apophis
what sort of hardware specs do you need for this? losing a lot of frames
This on top of all the other content, made it all click. Filled in a few holes, made others easier. Thanks a lot guys. The inspiration is back. <3
Thanx for all your tutorials, excellent stuff 😊
Excellent work!
VPW is working on Scared Stiff!!!!
Are we?!?
@@vpinworkshop OOPS! Maybe it was all a dream!!!😴
Fantastic tutorial, incredible work... looking forward to this table, it's one of my favorites! Thanks to the entire VPW team for their dedication and for sharing!
This is a really interesting series. Thanks!
It is fun to watch others to do editing on Blender as it can reveal new kind of working methods. I personally would have used knife tool for those holes, but using boolean with objects is totally fine too. Need to take that also into my work flow.
Is a VPW Elvira update coming!? 🥳
Thanks for this vidéo 👌🙏
How cool! thanks for sharing
Man I wonder if someone can just send me a zip of Blender with this toolkit added. I've tried with several versions and always get python errors at some point.
I have so many questions that I don't even know where to start from.......
Wooooow.... I never thought making a VPX table was this damn extreme difficult! At least, thanks to this tutorial I know it is basically plain impossible for me.
Do you host the Blend files for any of your tables? I would love to be able to render out playfield previews for the Looking Glass using their Blender add-on! Maybe someday VPX will have some sort of Looking Glass integration/functionality.
What an awesome intro, now I need to set aside some time to check out the rest of the video. Even if my distractibility doesn't allow me to go all in, I'll at least have a better understanding of how you guys pull off the amazing physics. Many thanks Apophis and anyone else involved. Cheers, Gravy.
I have been editing over 150 tables now with just the physics settings ... This is greatly greatly appreciated... Peace and ALL THE LOVE TO YOU!
I've been trying to add Fleep and nFozzy to Metropolis Reborn and I have been STRUGGLING. I want to get those set before I turn off rom sounds and create all new sounds for the music and effects.
Thanks.. will be doing a table and learning with hopes to keep doing them. also bought some Swag . Awesome!
Thanks for the Tutorial!
Thank you! I have learned so much watching your tutorials.
glorious!!!!
It's a great tutorial, it's easy to get lost. but helpful.
Any suggestions on how I could have made it more clear?
@@danmassie2506I think you did great. It's just a lot to take in. I've been wanting to update Metropolis Reborn and I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed.
lol, and thanks for the tutorial 👍
Thank you very much 🙏
demolition man!
lol apophis.. WTF hahahah
beautifull intro 😁😁
That intro is EPIC! It was like I knew the dialog before it was being spoken! 😅 Excellent in-depth tutorial as well, even for us non-table authors. Very insightful. Thank you.
Red pill, please ! Let's go! 😊
I laughed so hard during the Intro. I thought I understood most of the amazing stuff you guys have come up with, but, boy - was I wrong. This video is really well done, explaining how to tie together the example table with all that has been said in other videos from you guys. Absolutely awesome stuff once again <3
This is AWESOME! Demolition man needs a physics update and you can tell how much better you made that table on that little demo! Thanks for this!
Love the intro!!!
The files referenced at 9:43 is now showing as expired and is not accessible. Considering the releases are quite older, is it still possible to follow the rest of the tutorial when using 0.0.8 release?
Sixtoe - I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on 180-degree style ramps - i,e, the ones found in the new Godzilla or others? I have tried looking at the Tales of the Crypt table but it isn't clear how that was implemented (prior to Blender that is).
You mean the vertical u turn ramps? Sure, I can see what I can do, it's not as straightforward to do it correctly but I can put up a tutorial when I get back to making them :)
@@vpinworkshop... Yep, that would be much appreciated.
Fantastic video, about to get into upgrading tables myself.
Awesome video. More walkthrough tutorials like this would be amazing. I've followed these updates for Atlantis and am currently working through the render process. I'm looking forward to attempting the same updates to another table. Thanks for the time and effort to share your knowledge.
After the test render and loading in VPX, I get a black playfield. I'll revisit steps and see where I went wrong.
@@farrgough8061make sure you set Export Mode to “Hide” like it shows at around 41:50
@@danmassie2506 I set export mode to Hide, but same outcome. Only difference that I can see is that I selected 20% ratio instead of 25% to speed up the test.
The How to VPX series was very much appreciated! Thank you!
Great video... I love the technical series on the more advanced topics. I'm definitely going to give this a go in the future once I finish my in progress cab build.
So who's actually recording this?
Excellent, thank you. Would you be able to put together a video explaining the overall system of how VPX rendering works, and how lightmaps are integrated? i.e. how does the "raytraced ball shadows" feature actually work, with lightmaps, and what is being baked, what is dynamic? Thanks.
Very cool!
Yet another VPW banger! Thanks again for this!
VPin Workshop taking VP to the beyond...thank you for share and teach!
Such a comprehensive guide. Thanks a ton!
Do you match the size up to the exact known dimensions after getting the scan square? Maybe there is a template for certain table models, like a Spike2?
Yes, the tables should be exactly proportionately correct, otherwise the physics of the table will be off. There's a list of table dimensions in the dimension manager which is covered in the 3rd tutorial, "Setting Up VPX For A Project".
Very cool as always - thanks !
How was this playfield scanned?
For playfields the best way is to have the playfield totally removed from the machine and scan it with a specific decased scanner laid on the playfield then stitch together the scanned image.
