Thank you. The wings are just so small on a phone. It’s much better to watch it on a big screen. My landings are improving. But I still get that occasional just-off timing when leveling out and flaring. It happens.

Only 1 short flight for me so far few weeks ago ending on knees. Now have the kit, hoped to fly last Sunday but to thermic and switching wind for a beginner to enjoy so abandoned. Itching to get up there as soon as possible. UK weather lol. Love the videos Baz please keep em coming.

Wise decision probably. It must be enjoyable. The weather over here in the NL is about the same. Not so many days in a year good enough to go fly. In what region of the UK do you live?

@@ParamotorBas The training school I am at is based in Membury air field near Swindon. South West ish of England. With a motor way, solar farm, motorway services and an industrial estate surrounding it before open fields it can feel pretty scary 1st flight! Happily skipping work in the morning to go back up there and hopefully fly my own kit on my 2nd flight. 28 degrees by midday so going to be thermic later it gets but CANT WAIT TO FLY so going up anyway. It is so addictive.. you know what I mean! Keep the videos coming!

Ha ha, I know exactly what you mean. I just landed after a beautiful evening flight. But I forgot my gopro so I have no footage this time. I have an aunt and she lives near Didcot. I’ll let you know if I have plans to go fly in that area.

Very true. The flying itself is not the hardest part. It’s launching and landing. So do as much ground handling as you possibly can. And lots of landings. I often even practice my landings in my mind :-)

I had the same thing. Of course it’s nice to watch videos of highly skilled people. But as a beginner I found it very helpful to watch people having the same struggles. And learn from them. So that is part of why I make these videos. It’s a process. I’m by no means a great talent. I would say just average. It took me a while to master the basics at my flight school. But now that I do I really enjoy just the flying itself. Going farther from home and learn new things along the way.

Thank you. Appreciate it. What I find interesting when I watch PPG-videos is the pilot telling what is happening. Or what it feels like. So I try to do that. As if you’re on the flight with me.

Interesting thought. Thank you. I’m still learning every day. And certainly about the weather there is a lot to learn. It could have been a front. For us that day it was as I describe less cloudy and so the sun was touching the surface. Going up and down it felt as thermally. But I’m happy to learn from your experiences.

I do prefer calm air for sure. These thermals can be scary for a (semi) beginner pilot. But the wing doesn’t seem to be bothered too much. That’s good to know.
