Lyrics in Hawaiian: Hawai'i pono'ī Nana i kou mo'i Ka lani ali'i ke ali'i Makua lanie Kamehameha e Na kua e pale me kaihe
Restore the Hawaiian Kingdom I'm an American that supports a free and independent Hawaii Even if it's not a kingdom Hawaii should be independent ruled by the native Hawaiians it's their land
This American also says free Hawaii
@@nateowen1064 I support a free independent Hawaii I just hate what America did to Hawaii I love my country but the native Hawaiian should have a country their country back under American protection with a defensive treaty with America but not under our control we should have never annexed Hawaii we should have only became an ally of The Hawaiian Kingdom God Save The Hawaiian Kingdom 🇺🇸♥️🇮🇱🙏✝️☦️❤️🤍💙
From Bremerton, WA roots are Mililani Twn we sung this at school in the 80s
you know your anthems that good when everyone willingly sings to it when it is played and when you listen to it daily while at work
Liking it
Love Hawaii from the Far North 🇫🇮❤️🇺🇸🇮🇴
I’m an American who supports a free Hawaii
Wow I remembered my remembrance of choir lessons in the fine arts higschool 12 years ago. It was my one of the first piece for the final concert of year. Thanks !🙏
My country. Came on this to pray for Maui
The Hawaiian Nation
Plenty of them look oriental how come
My teachers showed this for my class
love it
It’s too bad hawaii isn’t it’s own country anymore, but I always sung this song in class at the beginning of the day
It is. Do your research, please. The US is illegally occupying us.
@@乇ʻ卂 based! Long live Hawaii! 🇫🇯
It is state of USA.
No matter what, it is a nation and will be forever.
I’m American but I say free Hawaii
Greetings from Portugal. You have such a beautiful national anthem. Aloha 'Oe.
The long-time historic Portuguese community of Hawaii would be moved by your beautiful comment.

mahalo
I like the pace of this version of Hawaii Pono’i. Sometimes it can be sung too slow and draggy, but this version is strong and deliberate. Maika’i e nā haumāna o Kamehameha Kapālama!!
笑顔が足りない❗もっと楽園ハワイらしい表情が欲しいです。
What a beautiful Anthem about their land and King!
Beautiful State/National Anthem.
i was there when that happened
How about we just enjoy this as a beautiful song being sung by Kamehameha Schools and leave the politics out.
Beautiful song and ceremony. Your Texan brothers and sisters, as we were and still our in our hearts a free and independent nation, send all our respects.
Hawaii used to be a free and independent nation also.
Big difference. Texas WANTED to join the Union. Hawaii did not.
Texas was NEVER a nation, it incorporated stolen Mexican and indigenous land.
@@FrancisR420 No use of telling that. Only 10% Indigenous pepole in Hawaii.
@@sujeewaslbux7525 yeah 10% pure 100% Hawaiian/Polynesian. Braddah you leaving out the 30% of the population that stay mixed and get Hawaiian blood.
i have the song at my school
I used to be a military brat that went to Mokapu Elem school in the 80’s. My teacher had us sing this every morning. I still remember every word to this song. Good Times!
I LOVE YOU
Beautiful song. Greetings from Thailand! I’m one who is trying to save this beautiful, but endangered language by learning Hawaiian and listening to Hawaiian songs (my favourite singer is Keali’i Reichel). I know, most of Hawaiian people nowadays are from different origins, native Hawaiian (Maoli), from mainland US, Japan, the Philippines, etc. However, this is a very beautiful scene that both native and non-native Hawaiians sing their anthem in Hawaiian. Although I live in Thailand, very far from Hawaii, I really appreciate this and wanna say to you all no matter which ethnic groups you are: “please save the language”.
omg that u so much we need to try to save the hawaiian culture. it makes me very sad that hawaiians are the minority of their own island. you may not be hawaiian but you are doing more than a lot of kanakas do and i appreciate it
@@Bubbzy6 regardless of demographics, hawaiians and hawaii residents need to come together to achieve independence for Hawaii as an independent parliamentary monarchy, just as it was before the Americans.
@Jermare because a constituonal monarchy would not give any power to the monarchy, and it would be a nod to native culture. Hawaii is and as long as it is part of the USA, always will be, a colonial possession. Independence means that laws could not be made for Hawai'i by a bunch of people who don't live on the island. Hawaii and its interests will ALWAYS be out voted by other states, that's why Hawai'i is stuck with so many senseless laws that hurt it. The people best in place to govern Hawai'i are the people who live in Hawai'i
@Jermare the American political system puts power in the hands of oligarchs and their corrupt politicians under a poorly designed legislative system and unproportional representation
Just one word can describe it, beautiful.
‘Olelo Hawai‘i: Hawaiʻi ponoʻī Nānā i kou mōʻī Ka lani aliʻi, Ke aliʻi Hui: Makua lani ē, Kamehameha ē, Na kaua e pale, Me ka ihe Hawaiʻi ponoʻī Nānā i nā aliʻi Nā pua muli kou Nā pōkiʻi Hawaiʻi ponoʻī E ka lāhui e ʻO kāu hana nui E uʻiē _____________________________ English: Hawaiʻi's own true sons Be loyal to your chief Your country's liege and lord The chief Chorus: Royal father Kamehameha Shall defend in war With spears Hawaiʻi`s own true sons Look to your chief Those chiefs of younger birth Younger descent Hawaiʻi`s own true sons People of loyal heart The only duty lies List and abide
The last word in hawaiian said it will scream when translated im disappointed to google
