It's funny because even though the footage is silent, you can still "hear" the ambient noise in your head. The crashing of the surf, the squawking of the seagulls, children's laughter...it's all there if you "listen" closely. Beautiful footage of an equally beautiful place. I'd imagine things have changed a lot since then, while simultaneously not having changed all that much. Life seems simpler in Cornwall. I'd very much like to go there one day. Greetings from an American cousin across the pond!

Waarom droegen alle mannen in die tijd petten en/of hoeden? Ik zie niemand zonder iets op z'n hoofd. Nu, 94 jaar later, liggen diezelfde (hand?) geweven matten nog steeds onder de Afsluitdijk?

The total of 38 gold and 101 total medals still stands as a record medal tally for unified Germany. Yet Nearly 100 years on 2024 Paris Olympics Germany took only 9 gold medals. Wonder what happened.

This is a bit unsettling since this was filmed while ww1 was happening I still think its real interesting seeing something in such detail that was filmed 109 years ago, very well done.
