I’ve never seen an episode of this show, I just remember seeing a clip on twitter of the first scene shown in this vid and my jaw dropped.

Burst element just hits different, the build up, the small moment of silence with background noice followed by a voiceline, the zoom out sound when the "camera" zooms out and then the effect. It's just perfect. And Magical Splash Flare Voice acting is so good it makes me tear up just thinking about it. SO GOOD!

All of those just have a overuse of bass. I wouldn't call it good sound effect. Except for the world which is more distinct of the others

EIS has such a great sound effects team. From the JAV's to the subtle things like weights hitting the floor and the reverb of "I AM..." The difference is very pronounced when you watch the dub and realize Shadow and Cid use the same voice regardless of which character/age/emotion he is portraying.
