Ok guys i will make this all simple i did all this today with my car you don't need the blue connector connected at all if your not using the amps also at the radio harness you can just use a regular harness you don't need that stupid thing oem pac ending up trashing it signal wires are twisted together i cut all wires at the amp plug in and then connect the main colors from the harness which are purple and yellow all speakers use this from the amp purple wires are all positive every speaker has the same plug in yellow wires are all negative you guys are welcome!!!

After you de-pinned the connector and connected the Purple and Yellow wires directly to the speaker, Did you reconnect the plug at the harness? That happened to me the first time, then I realized I forgot completed " The Circuit " I had to reconnect the main blue connector.

Just a quick question . What did you do with the orange and black wires? Did you connect them together? What else did you do? I tried this and my new speakers dont sound well

Nothing, I just terminated them with a butt connector. Sounds quality is dependent on may variables, check your EQ setting on your radio first.

So what does this accomplish exactly? Will it sound much better? Is the stock amplifier good?

Well, the old bose system is pretty out dated and now a days, aftermarket radios tend to have higher outputs than boses 20+ year old amps, not to mention, almost impossible to buy replacements, if yours are broken. I just wanted some clean mids and highs, and didn't want to install a complete new audio system.
