Hey Chris! Just curious at what mileage did you have to replace the thermostat at? Also I can’t remember but did you have the A8 shudder issue? So far so good on my 2019. I’m at 21K currently.
@@scottdavis_34 ummmm 44-45k when it appeared and fixed. Yep! In 2018 at around 2k miles I had it. Took a few flushes and a new torque converter under warranty and she’s good!
@@ChrisFromFloriduh wow 2K. Do you know if the 2019 has the new fluid in it by chance?
@@scottdavis_34 ummmm, I’d say yes! I noticed a larger difference when I got my torque converter replaced lol
Is this a directional or non-directional tire?
@@user-xv6gu7qz4o I don’t think they are directional.
I need to figure out WHY this videos audio quality completely fell off after uploading it to the site. If yall know, inform me.
Acura, doesn’t, and never had a V8. Correct me if I’m wrong though
@@connordooley you’d be correct, I must have had their (Hondas) BF350 engine on the mind which isn’t for cars, lol.
@@ChrisFromFloriduh yeah, i get that lol. It’s a cool engine from what I’ve heard
I got my 1SS 6MT and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned.
GM doesn't make anything good anymore besides trucks, large SUVs, or corvette. Everyone I know who bought an Cruz or a sedans hates them because they are not reliable. I am buying a Toyota Because I need something that is dependable
I love my 2022 Camaro SS 1LE w/Tremec manual. Came perfect from the factory, I won’t replace anything but the tires. What a steal of a car for under $50k. I believe it's better than the S550 Mach1 with the track package which were MSRP’d at $67k. If you look around you can find 6th Gen SS 1LE’s for sale here and there with low miles. Fantastic buy for the money.
@@CarStory I agree. I’m not gonna be in the market to upgrade until 2027.
It went away because it was over priced
I always said GM should of kept the stingray front engine to make up for the camaro's absence. Then make the higher performance models mid engine and maximize their price tag while still having an affordable option for purists and enthusiasts. I hope the camaro comes back in amuch sleeker and lighter form. Until then, I will hol don to my C7 until the frame rusts and breaks in half.
No no no no no no. If GM made an EV version of the Camaro it would be $67,000 and up. GM is their own worst enemy when it comes to pricing their cars.
Nobody wants an EV camaro.... lol. Ffs GM is putting a 1000hp+ twin turbo V8 in the corvette ZR1.
Oh man! GM just wasn't trying at the end. The Camaro was allowed to die on the vine. For me, the high water mark was the 1969 Camaro Z/28. Chevy kept using the hallowed name and stuck it on Camaro's from the malaise era and that was simply embarrassing. So over time, the Camaro name became irrelevant. Very sad.
Camaros were not selling because no one could find the one they wanted. They were just making the basic models that very few people wanted to buy.
@@rickr9504 this is exactly what I’m saying. People blame blind spots and viability but I’ve personally only heard that excuse a few times asking Chevy dealers and/or car shows, lll. Most people didn’t buy because they couldn’t find what they wanted (I was one of em).
@@ChrisFromFloriduh So was I. I sold my 2018 2SS 1LE because it had an issue GM could not fix, thinking I could jump on a newer one. All the 1LEs lefts were automatic transmission, and the ones that looked like the one I wanted, were marked up and dealers refused to negotiate or even discuss pricing. I kept looking for several years until I gave up. These days, I don't see many that can replace that car. I may have to settle for a used CT4-V Blackwing or used M2, or maybe a used ZL1 if they drop the price.
I wish someone would've made the comparison between the 6th gen Camaro, ATS coupe, and Pontiac GTO. Because I think the ATS coupe's ergonomics is what team Camaro should've shot for, with the GTO's interior space. What we got is a cramped interior with horrible blind spots, a long hood where its hard to see out in front of you. Livability should've been priority #1, design #2. Its why Challenger sold well into 5 and 6th gen Camaro's cycles.
GM could have stole the show if they made a Camaro retro based on 2nd generation.
2019 Camaro was an aggressive masculine car. Then the following generation? Not even close, it became a malibu. If they made the Camaro the masculine 2019 car again? Hell yeah.
Those new Mustangs in V8 are pretty affordable. I'm looking to buy another Tesla 2021 used Model 3 Performance and that's around 30K to 34k used. Way quicker and better car but wow a new mustang is pretty affordable.
@@SkeenDogger if you want a non performance pack, they are much cheaper but the performance pack is a MUST if you are tracking/roadcourse the car (which is what I would do).
Liberalism left wing and green freak cult is what happened
Because the principal pushers at Chevy sre complete non intelligent people
camaros have ALWAYS been my dream car and i was blessed to have bought one yesterday! i’m absolutely in love with it, i have the 2019 1lt v6 convertible, anyway i wanted to ask: what kind of gas do you put in?? i have people telling me to put 87 and 91.. not sure what to go with. what do you put ?
@@bbylyxa you can put 87 for daily driving and 93 for spirited driving. Hope that helps!
Good
If GM is smart they are watching the mach e rotting on lots and not go that route, the whole allocation and ordering process outside of pandemic was shamefully handled poorly and may end up costing gm in the long run for the loyal buyers, we seen, heard 100's of people say they wanted a Camaro but they would not accept their order so great point on that, i know for a fact gm dictated to the smaller dealers what they could order (v6 or v8) in the last days of Camaro and funny how that is still happening today with other auto makers, Ford recently has clamped down on dealers wanting to order v8 trucks but will let them order all the v6 and hydrids they want. Looking at Cadillac there are lots of options if a new Camaro came back including the twin turbo v6, the 3.6 na and still the blackwing so its mindblowing why gm does what they do.
Yall should follow Mark (channel pinned) as well.
@ChrisFromFloriduh thanks Chris 🙏 always appreciate the longtime support 👍 keep up the great work- alot of good points in this video!

I'm now not gone to sell my Camaro SS 2017...❤
GM didn't have any clue what to do for a 5th gen, but then they realized that Ford had a thing going and just copied their idea for a retro generation. And now here we are and GM is out of ideas again. When they killed Pontiac, I turned my back on GM forever. Which is sad, because back in the day, back when I was teenager in the 80's (I know that was a long, long time ago), I was a Camaro/Firebird guy. But hats off to Ford now, they are the only one still making a V8 coupe pony car. GM lost.
Ever find out what the squealing is when ur start it and it stops after like 30 seconds

My V6 is my daily driver. I have V8s in my trucks. Love this car.
Are they quiet? I'm looking to get new tires but there's so many options that idk what to get
@@rodm2345 they are quieter than the stock tires for the Camaro and ride smoother. Although, I can’t say they are luxury tire quiet since they are high performance tires lol
@ChrisFromFloriduh I would put them on a civic lol I hear everything with the tires I currently have. I'm stuck between these and the pirelli p7 as plus 3
@@rodm2345 they should be a good uograde, every Pirelli tire I’ve driven on is booty cheeks.
@@ChrisFromFloriduh Damn don't tell me that 🤣
@@rodm2345 my bad 😅 but no when I tested some Mustang GT Performance packs with Pirellis they are very sketchy in the wet and our 2016 Mustang had them from the factory and they just didn’t last long and it was just a daily driver no rough driving lol
2017 2SS recently purchased I just had the tranny flushed with the new HP fluid because of the shudder and tach doing the up and down thing. In and out of the dealership ran me $765. It’s a shame them knowing of the problem they didn’t cover the cost. Just hit 200 miles since the flush and so far so good.
I just got mine put on my E350 Benz coupe
Hi Chris, I heard you say the CAI intake is the best intake certified by GM. I had an AFE Momentum GT intake for my 22’ 3.6 but I removed and sold the intake after a fender bender accident. I want to buy another one but I’m not sure if I should go with CAI or AFE. What do you think? I also want to know where you found the Borla exhaust so cheap, they’re $1700 wherever I look!
@@drewdilf excellent question! I still prefer Cold Air Inductions brand, personally. I’m not familiar with AFE so I cannot speak to them. I got it from……I gotta look that up, I can’t remember. CSP Racing site.
Thanks I’m going to try to snag it when there’s a sale. I’m stuck deciding whether to trade in my car for a V8 or keep it longer while modding it. I’m kinda on your boat at the moment because I really want a V8 but can’t decide on which one I want or if it’s worth waiting for prices to go down (if they ever do)
@@drewdilf it’s really tough right now, I’ve been looking and there’s a lot of clapped out cars on the market. Good ones are either overpriced or snagged fast. Honestly, might get an s650 GT PP because I am a bit worried about the thefts on our cars lol. I don’t live in a big city but if I ever have to that’s what I worry about,
Why your oil pressure is spiking 80s
Sounds pretty good I use to have a v6 challenger I think it’s was straight piped when I bought it was good for a while but sounded horrible as I got use to now I have an rt the Camaro v6’s are one of the best sounding v6 out there.
Great job 👏 👍
It looks better without the sunroof. Goodyears are terrible quality I like Michelin tires better
Yes the drivetrain is awsome . It will last you a long long time. I’m taking my Highlander platinum to TCCN next week . I bought a Radiant red tint coat ZL1 last year . 👍
I have a v6 2017RS..and yes this bitch is quick AF
The one about that small piece on the convertibles is 100% true. I just got a 2019 2SS convertible and the one on the driver side is stuck inside the car. It wont slide into place. 😅
Love the sidewall too. Sweet looking tire. 550 benz 🎉
If you have an opportunity, I would see if you can drive a DH with and without the handling pack. I'm not one on steering feel don't really care about it. I'd rather react to my surroundings and plan on what to expect the car to do. By the time you feel the car losing control, you can see it faster and hear it way before your brain can process steering feel. Hmm it depends track wise the DH has held its own on track even with the ZL1and in some test beat it. Just because it is NA and has a better use of its power. Cost wise it's alot, but it's near the same price as a new Mach 1 was just more options they added. Ford has also had the track focused car priced higher just because of name sake. Gm the camaro does have a true iconic name or anything to fall back on or its own brand. So that's the reason for the price increase lol. The screens are for the younger generation not anyone past 30 tbh lol. They focused on the younger tech audience. Because the biggest complaint was, "the interior looks outdated".
@@lastoutlaw_2129 I definitely need to get my hands on one! You make good points, and I must be getting old then 🤣
@ChrisFromFloriduh the DH with the HP is fun. I put 9k on mine just driving it everywhere. The Georgia mountains and tail of the dragon were fun. But now I have to see how it drives after the whipple and upgrades suspension parts, lol.
I'm slowly losing hope on owning a 2ss camaro with the Riptide Blue Metallic when i get financially stable its a shame, that color is awesome on the camaro when i was in middle school i was soo hype to get to work to afford a camaro but now it seems impossible tho i wouldn't mine getting a older 2ss camaro 2018/2017 but they be used which is not a problem if the owner took cared of it.
Wholeheartedly disagree about the screens. That was one of the features that sold me on the S650. And I’m Gen X. I know a lot of elitests whine about change but from attending the largest weekly cars and coffee in the world I can say the most common compliment is for the upgraded digital dash.
It could have been nice but I feel they did it very cheaply and didn’t even bother to integrate it into the dash. Just looks like 2 cheap iPads on most models.
For me, the screens are fine if they were implemented better. On the s650, they just stuck em there and called it a day. Otherwise they are cool. Unreal engine is meh, I don’t see people really caring about it, lol.
@@ChrisFromFloriduh yeah that’s my deal with them it looks like they were an afterthought
Steering gear.
Steering gear was the issue.
If you are looking to buy a 6th gen v6 camaro. Hold out for a 1LE version. You get a 6 speed manual (more hp to the wheels!) Additional oil, water, trans and rear diff cooling. 3.27 rear end gears as opposed to 2.77 gears. SS suspension offset tires. Completely different vehicle.
Yep! Agree. I’m gonna be looking to move to V8 in 2027. Either Mustang GT performance pack or a 2016-2024 SS 1LE.
@ChrisFromFloriduh I'm having a ProCharger installed as I type this. I'm picking it up on Tuesday. 430 to the back tires on 7lbs. of boost. And 500 lbs. lighter than a SS.
