@barbf8628 0 seconds ago I'm asking this all over, hoping someone will have, if not a whole answer, at least some ideas. I have an old wool blanket that has been washed multiple times so has felted and shrunk. I want to make tin saddle pad, about three layers worth of this blanket. Do you think I can felt the layers together? What would be my options for doing so?

I was given multiple yards of beautiful, but no longer wanted, woven wool fabric yardage (from an elderly friend with failing eyesight). Not necessarily enough of one for an outfit but large enough for large crafting projects. Some looks like Pendleton! I would love to felt some for crafting but I have not done that before - youtube searching led me here. How do I know if it is worsted? Do I just throw lengths into the washing machine on hot and gentle, with detergent, and then throw them in the dryer? (And if worsted, they will ravel?). Thanks in advance!

Thank you for viewing and for taking the time to comment. I'm sorry I don't speak Spanish - but your written English is very good!! It's amazing how the internet lets us 'meet' people around the world! My son and his fiance have taken several trips to South America (with Explora) over the last few years and last year were in Santiago: they make a travel blog which they share with us and so we get to 'travel along with them'! I love learning about other countries and their occupants! There is much beauty in South America!
