Que tal traduzir isso para o Português?
Que barulho infernal na Qrg!! Insuportável! Tô caindo fora!!
I remember how busy the Japanese coastal stations were. Sailing from Chili, with iro ore on board for the Japanese highovens, I had to QSO these stations on a regular bases. More than once I got a QRY 200 or even higher. You could wait for ages then but....they had no patience with you. If you missed your turn, you could start all over again. But, fantastic operators who didn't only master the international Morsecode, but also a Morsecode based on the Japanese characters. Amazing.

Very nice 👍
Superb code from a straight key!
Very nice
Very nice
Marconist job on the vessels
Did Finland have ships?! 😀
Cant believe they were still using Morse code in 1991?
Morse code has been used until 1999 and many stations also over.
Telex! MARITEX? I don't think so. Good to see these clips now and then,
fab memories, great to hear the old coast stations again, I came ashore in 1980 after nearly 15 years, and great years they were. The end was sad, but I suppose it had to be.
Nice to hear Genovaradio/ICB after all these years
great video! Thanks a lot! ciao Grazie! un saluto dalla Scozia!
Grazie e buona visione dei video del canale!
Que Bosta!!!
I've never understood why bugs did not come with more weight(s)
Hi! Someone put more weight(s) themselves. In the clip above it seems the Operator put maybe some magnets...
Interessantissimo excursus! Complimenti, molto piacevole. Saluti! Diego
Grazie!
Very sadly all the Australian coast stations in the video are now gone. Used the HF and VHF radiotelephone services a lot when sailing around the coast. There were some great characters as these stations as well. Always remember the operator at VIT Townsville Radio reading from a comic at the end of the morning WX sched. Fond memories. 73's
Whatever happened to all that gear!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. I was a ship's RO in the early 90's as GMDSS dealt its death blow....but got a short few months on a WT ship and it was grand! ruclips.net/video/5wtNhQQdoyE/видео.htmlsi=DbG4Or1w-v6UDHdt ruclips.net/video/JIYYC6SwGY8/видео.htmlsi=hLCF1AZeVLWXFYia
Thanks for comment!
Thanks for video. Brought back a lot of memories as a ship’s r/o In the. 70’s
In the 70"s, Morse is still the mainstream of ship's communications. Only passenger liners would have equipment which provide radio telephone and telex services. My R/O career started on 1978, working on a one years old ship. The ITT synthesizer console able to make phone call ashore thru coastal station! But for telex, only one ship in our fleet (total 80 ships) provide it!
You are welcome!
An uncle of mine worked at Wick radio in the '40s so this was good to see!
Dziękuję! SP5RF.
My dad was a ship radio officer. I shouldve shown this video to him before he passed.
Vivo in Uk grande appassionato di ricevitori professionali HF ho diversi Racal
This station possibly built on late 60. Cause the digital rcvr and xmtr start their service at around mid 70.
Between 1960-1985,This kind of passenger liners at least got 4 radio officer working on board. The Chief doesn't need to keep watch but to receive news from coastal after midnight but before 6 in the morning. This job takes around 2 hours continuing receiving Morse signals!
used to have the same equiptment 5times on different japanese ships, 3FQEF, 3FKK4, 3FEBQ,DUTG,DVEF. all same radio transmitter exciter and receiver JRC.
I view it with sound muted. Very inappropriate music.
I hope you are able to secure more films of Japanese radio rooms and operators. I have only seen one before this.Thank you.
Very good film. Rare inside look at a Japanese radio room. Top notch operators. Close to one of the last cw maritime stations.
Good video, subject on the model of the receiver, and the auto-tuning xmtr. It's built on early 1970.
. ... . ..
Looks like a JSS200.
Very valuable video!!!
JRC! One of the Best Marine Radio ⚡📟 equipment in those days. Morse code 🎶! Good Memories! Best Regards from an Old Timer 🗿 who was already a Land-Crab in 1994.
JRC might not be the best radio console, but the most user friendly & easiest operation among all the console.👍
Italian language is so beautiful.
Wondering the radio equipment are very old stuff!!! On 1987, most ship already use digital receiver....even I worked on a 25 years old ship on 1982 sailing at SE Asia, we have 1.5KW synthesizer xmtr and rcvr!
Nice 73 de N1EA
Nice to see how you edited my movie! I like to music, it is better than my original 😀 73 Bart
Hi Bart I am very happy you have apppreciated, thank you. Here R/O from 1986 until 1994.
Beautiful radio.
No more Radio Operator/Sparkes on merchant ships, the good old days, electronic squeeze key too, I liked the old Marconi hand key.
Fond memories working GLD. Knew i was near home when hearing GLD during daylight hours
Good film of a spark's memory!
Fine documentary -.-. .-..
Thank you, "Sparks", for all your films of maritime radio operators from the golden age. Your documentation of the period preserves this mode of communication and is historically significant.
