@@katharinecox5200 me too! Glad Im not the only one lol It’s a really pretty place & flights were dirt cheap. But I will say that a lot of what I saw was very similar to when I went to New Orleans so if you’ve been to New Orleans, it’s not a must to go.

@@katharinecox5200 The previous owners of my house left so much crap. I felt like I was walking into a Home Depot. 😂I sold a lot of it when I first moved here, but I did keep the stain because it matches the floors, but I thought it would be dried out when I opened it up. I didn’t know old liquid stain turns into gel stain. I had that same idea about painting the clock to match the stain, but I have also had about 60 other ideas so I haven’t pulled the trigger on any yet lol

There’s literally nothing a little glue, wood filler and brad nails can’t fix if you are willing to sand for hours lol You should check out my ikea hack shoe storage video…lots of swollen particle board on that one, too. @@suzannegingras7528 Yes, I use satin polycrylic. 2 coats. But my paint never scratches off even without it. If you skipped any steps of the prep work before painting or used an all in one paint that may be where your issue is coming from.

@@dimplesp4046 if you have a measuring tape, drill and miter saw you can totally do it. A nail gun would be nice too but I did mine without one. Go for it!

Hey there! Thanks so much! I love thrifting too but since I work full time and spend my free time trying to get projects and videos done unfortunately I don’t make it to the stores like I used to so I have fallen deeply in love with facebook marketplace lol I live in a neighborhood with lots of old homes so the side of the road has also been veryyy kind to me too! God only gave me 1% patience but he gave me 99% cheapness so…he made sure I keep busy building stuff that I refuse to pay contractors to do lol Thanks for your comment! God bless!
