Next time set the motor to TDC before you take the tension off ur timing chain lol
So basically kx65 wheel, hub, spokes, rotor & sprocket?
Can you run an 18inch rear wheel with that swing arm?
So the guy basically made the bike.
@@sludge86 theres some things I modified yes. But all these parts are readily available. You just have to have some mechanical inclination to make them all work.
And does the kit start still work with the big bore??? I've heard it wont
Do you think that carb will work with a kitaco 125 se pro?
I got a few questions some pertaining to this video and some just general questions the takagawa clutch is better for a big bore correct so i need to do that or itll tear my clutch out? Im doing a kitaco 125 se pro. Next question how much was cerakote for the engine cases and valve cover? Next question is it possible to do 17s for a super moto application how you did yours? And what hubs did you use? Im sure i have 1 million more questions but thats the ones that come to mind
Do you not need the washer for the top of the spring? I noticed you didn’t use it?..
I spoke to soon disregaurd my brake question haha
Im in the process of building a 125se pro and going to do full mods similar to you but a little different how did you get a rear disc was it difficult?
Where did u get the parts from again?
@@BryceCassillo keystone cycle parts my man.
Great tutorial, thank you! What size Philips did you use to remove the throttle body cover? and did you use JIS screwdrivers? I'm worried that I'm going to strip them, from what I hear those are torqued down pretty hard from the factory.
@@mfmonthefmf they are very tight from the factory and a pain to get off. We used a #3 phillips bit with a impact screwdriver. The kind you use a hammer to tap and it shocks the bolt loose. Sometimes you can just use a actual 1/4 impact with a #3 bit and they will break loose. If they do strip, just drill the head off with a drill bit and then use vice grips to take the stud out. Replace them with regular bolts.
I'm doing one now! great video!
Thanks for the support! 🤝

We need step by step video on the forks 😁
@@daledevil69 im workin on it. Trying to get some other videos edited. I have some new stem bearing coming. So when I go to change those i will dissasemble one of the forks and show how its done.
@@simplyminis2064yeah same really need that video for sure
Sick!
Lovely bike. If you dnt mind what front suspension setup did you use? Is it bbr as well?
@@aubrywiley7018 the front suspension is cr85 forks with cr85 applied racing clamps that use a RHmotoworx stem adapter kit to fit. I shortened the forks 2.5” and used A cr85 wheelset.
@ Oh wow very nice. Makes that bike stand out big time. Great work. And thanks for the reply back

What rear brake calipers are you using?
Kx65 🤘
@ thanks man!
@ I got the kx65 calipers on, curious what caliper mount you are using? Trying to see if I can make it cleaner. Thanks again!!
@@JM-yn7uj i am using a dfmx klx110 rear brake conversion bracket. They are out of stock right now on tbolt. But doug flinner is the guy who makes them. If you go onto planetminis 2.0 on facebook (a page I run for pitbikes with over 20k members) you will be able to contact him. He usually has them or will make you one. There used to be quite a few people who sold them, DMC motorsports, DFMX, diamond minis. But it seems their all sold out at the moment.
@@simplyminis2064 thank you! 🙌🏼 Just finished installing the kitaco 125 dohc kit and converting from cr80 forks to cr85s.
Hey. Looking to buy a new carb for my klx110. What is everybody using ?
It depends on what your engine build is? You talking a stock motor, or a built one?
You just dound mad throughout the whole video 😂
@@initial_boyz 🤣🤣🤣. Dang china bikes get me all riled up!
Do you have the links for the rear bracket you used to mount the rear caliper ?
@@PDHGARGE859 I posted the link on the other video you commented on. Seems like their out of stock most places right now. Im sure they will have another run of them done soon.
Keep it up with the videos
@@lsmustangx9010 thanks for the support. We have some more content coming out soon!
Are there any Marzocchi forks for the kx65?
Not anymore. There used to be. Bud racing makes some really nice forks for the kx65 that are just as good as marzocchi forks.
I’m planning on installing a stroker crank and V2 race head. Already running a 143, VM26 and full exhaust. Do you have any thoughts on sending the fly wheel out and get it lightened?
Getting the flywheel lightened is always a nice upgrade. Makes it quite snappy. Legacy minis is a great place to send your flywheel for this upgrade.
Hello, I just got done following this video to complete my mini build. It ran awesome for a bit now the kick starter won’t engage. It seems to when I have the manual clutch cover off but when I put the cover back on it doesn’t. An idea what I did wrong?
What frame?
@@thetruth3346 this bike has a stock klx110 frame.
@@simplyminis2064 nice. Sounds like a stroker. Love your content!

We definitely need more in depth videos on the forks installation, I’ve read all of your comments and watched all the videos but other than the links to the parts what and how was the insides shortened etc? I’m building my xr100 just like yours. I have a couple other $6000 plus dollar builds but it’s time for the old xr to become a beast like yours! How yall get your 110 to limiter like that. Like mine doesn’t it just revs
@@Echocompany2-7 this is a stock cdi box with a v2 race head/165cc bore kit and a stroker crank. Is your motor stock or built? Takes a built motor to sound like this.
@@simplyminis2064 min is 143cc with a v2 race head that I extra ported and polished but I have a bbr high rev cdi box. But I’ve never been able to bounce mine off limiter it just revs. Like No bingbingbingbing It’s just raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
@@Echocompany2-7 change it back to the stock rev box. I promise you, the stock rev box is the best on the klx platform. The aftermarket rev boxes tend to fall short of the glory on the klx’s. 🤝
We need the whole video
@@shawneddy5658 i will be making more videos of this bike soon!
Kawasaki just loves to instal those plastic gears on oil pumps. That’s the weakest point of the engine if not a planned obsolescence manifested
@@denisdemidovitch6897 ive honestly never had a problem with them. Not even on a built to the hilt klx engine.
those tb guys dont seem to care about anything
Tbparts is actually a wonderful company. They are one of the few companies that sponsor/support alot of pitbike events. Theyve been around a long time and make a ton of awesome parts. Sometimes things slip thru the cracks when your producing alot of parts.
What swingarm is that? Do you have the link?
@@koryledford1809 this is called a BBR super pro swinger. They do not make them anymore. They can only be found used. If you go onto facebook, check out the planetminis 2.0 page. Its a page I manage with 20k members that sell new/vintage pitbike parts. Thats your best shot at finding one.

Sadly all I could afford for my son and I was Chinese bikes. I have an ssr 125 and it rips for me and my budget. And the smiles I get riding with my son are priceless. I get the humor of shitting alll over cheaper Chinese stuff. But remember some of us out here have other priorities and this is what we can afford. Can’t show this video to my son he’d be sad because he enjoys his mototec 50.
@@JoeMaxFpv hey man its all good. Different strokes for different folks. But yes, it was meant to be in good fun/humor. I realize not everybody can spend $6-8000 on a name brand mod bikes. This was more geared towards people who race consistently and have the budget to decide between whats worth it in the long run for racing abuse. The slowracer is one of the few chinese bikes that was built good enough for a racing atmosphere. This ssr is being built for racing, and in the second video I will address the shortcomings of the china bikes when it comes to heavy abuse. Ssr’s in stock fork can be alright for backyard beating/kids.
@@simplyminis2064 appreciate it. I’m working my way through the weaker points. No racing ever planned. I did that 30 years ago. Just cruising trails with the little guy. Rear shock and front fork tubes were replaced and a harder steel rear axle. Otherwise bike has been great. For what it is.
Where you get the forks?
@@frofrobikelife2516 these are off of a cr85. Then i custom shortened and valved them to work on this crf100 chassis. Rhmotoworx is where the adapter stem came from. Applied racing is where the clamps came from.
What type of bolts did you use for the motor mounts also the subframe ones?
@@themagicphoneboothq4529 when I order bolts, I either get stainless ones from bolt suppliers on ebay, or I go through mcmaster carr. Does that answer your question? Or are you looking for the actual spec on the bolts size and length wise?
Is this for the L model? Im doing it right now and with only 1 spacer its very short
@@CONSTANTG003 I have not used this on a L fork yet. Im assuming they are only for non L forks. But with some extra spacers I have no doubt you could make them work.
@@CONSTANTG003 I have not used this on a L fork yet. Im assuming they are only for non L forks. But with some extra spacers I have no doubt you could make them work.
@simplyminis2064 Hey thanks for the reply, I ended up using my bbr spacers in there with the largest of the racing bros spacers as well and it's damn near perfect. Not sure what the length of the bbr spacers is but they were almost perfect.
