What are your issue with the audio?
Dude, I got a little starstruck for a second-love your content! I’m running into an issue with my Comica VM40 and Fujifilm XH2-S, and I can't seem to get the gain settings right. The main problem is that I want to record a backup internally to the mic with the mic's gain set to 7. But when I do that, the signal into the camera is so hot that it peaks and becomes unusable. Basically, I’m stuck choosing between getting good audio directly into the camera or just recording to the VM40 and syncing the audio in post. For bigger shoots, this isn’t an issue since I’m using a Zoom M4 and an overhead boom mic. However, this becomes a problem during run-and-gun documentary shoots. Thanks so much for the years of help through your videos, and thanks for commenting-it means a lot!
Hahaha appreciate it man! So I have the comica vm30 and I was running into a similar issue. Normally I would set my external gain setting down to -30 for any other mic. But that resulted to extremely low gain even when the vm30 was set to 10+. So now I sent my external audio in camera to -6 then play around with the gain on the mic and receiver. My last video I uploaded I am using those settings. But I agree it's annoying
I’d like to see a better sensor. Seriously, though we don’t always print we do keep and use images for other use. They need better resolution.
Hey Aunt Shirley subscribed from Louisiana..so happy for yall!!
how about the c100 mkii ? I see them for sale for 800 euros.
Wauw I love the footage... its very filmlike.. I have a canon r6 mkii.. do I need this cinema camera?
You should use a bigger microphone, that one is almost invisible.
I have a account with them and I being getting those leads and know I getting scammers I tell them but they gave me the same answer
Finally. Was waiting for yall to work!!
Been trying to for a while!
How does the microphone perform when mounted directly onto your camera while recording five to six feet away from your subject? I do a lot of single person videography and am interested in this mic for run-n-gun setups. I haven't seen real-world tests here on RUclips yet, so please share your personal experience. Thank you.
funny you should ask. check out this video i just posted there is a lot of that in the walking around sections of this episode ruclips.net/video/_5jVQwrniCU/видео.html

Using the right keywords will help your videos reach more viewers and grow your channel faster 🚀. I can help you create customized titles and keywords that will definitely contribute to the success of your channel 💪. I hope this suggestion will bring you success! 🌟

If you are reading this and considering the XBotGo Chameleon, do not buy it. I paid $479 and purchased it with the 13' tripod to record soccer. It stopped working within less than 30 days. Hello, I have a question. I own a Scarlet for quite a good time now but I never bought the side handle with redvolts. I'm looking to buy a side handle because I want to shoot more handheld and I think I found a side handle for a good price. But as you said the redvolt batteries by this time would be obsolete. My question is if I can use the camera with an empty side handle and would still the buttons or screen in the handle would work, powered by the big battery in the back. Or are there any options that would work on the side handle that are not redvolts? Tha KS in advance!
Great question! So the side handle DOES NOT NEED a red volt battery to work. Mine stays empty and the handles buttons and functions still work. thank god becasue that would suck i had to have one of those stupid batteries in the camera at all times.
Why you are lying bro you don't even use Af
I dont. Are you saying i do?
@epochfilmandphoto im saying why don't you use AF we want to see how AF work with this new adopter
@@NoobPlayer-om2ij I gotcha! Well im sure there is someone out there testing it for that purpose. I just dont need autofocus for my work.

Wish it was stereo, like the Zoom M3
Bit if a noob question But what benefit does that provide?
I’m looking to buy either this or the m3 and i’m having a tough time deciding Featureset seems pretty comparable and price is the same
@@skmkenny You can choose how wide you want the sound to be picked up afterwards. Either purely mono shotgun from the front only, or going up to 120°. For a real filmmaker, an incredible flexibility.
It doesn't seem to be a good buy unless you want the wireless capability, which you said you didn't use much. The Zoom M3 MicTrak also has 32 bit recording, but it records in M/S stereo, which of course gives you the ability to choose mono through to super wide stereo in post production. And I think it is cheaper ($143 in fact at the moment). But it doesn't do wireless.
M3 is fantastic, I also use it with my DJI Mic for dual (32 bit float and wireless) recording. Just plug the output from M3 into my DJI transmitter.
@cineffect Heh, I never thought of that! I will try it myself. Thanks for the idea!
Well... it would have been nice to see some noise reduction tests. Wish it had some sort of a ability to record timecode to the internal recorder. Oh well...
Thanks for the video! Do you know if the receiver compatible with Comica Vimo Q Wireless Microphone? I mean: could I connect a Vimo Q transmitter and a VM40 Shotgun mic to the same receiver?
@@professordanielcarnauba I’m not sure but I will ask them and get back to you on this comment thread!
@epochfilmandphoto thanks a lot!
I asked this same question at an Instagram post, and Comica answered that the chip inside VM40 is not compatible with either the Vimo Q or VM30. Fingers crossed 🤞 for new version of Vimo Q eventually that adds compatibility & built-in 32-bit recording.
@@EquipmentList Thanks a lot!
I will be honest, I was watching this video thinking 'this mic sounds AMAZING'. It works really well, it's really versatile, the accessories and bag are fantastic. No way I can afford this - and then you said the price!! I will be getting one of these for sure.
Use the link support the channel! Keep up the good work as well I love your content
Does the internal recording trigger automatically when hitting the record button on the camera or does it have to be manually turned on?
No there is a record button on the mic you have to hold on. There is also an app you can do it from.
@@epochfilmandphoto in the app there is auto record settings?

Hey Forrest! 🌟 Your journey into AI-powered filmmaking is truly impressive! A very interesting video. I spent some time looking at AI voices about 5 months ago. I can't remember know which website I was looking at, but It was a free one. There was a great selection in terms of ages and speaking style. But not a lot in terms of say, an accent. Lots of American and Uk accents for instance. Artlist sounds much more adaptable. I still don't like my own voice in my videos - but I'm learning to tolerate it. And I am improving as my confidence grows. Thank you for posting and showing what's available.
Your channel is great and for your niche i think people will want your natural voice.
@@epochfilmandphoto Thank you. I am working on improving my delivery. 🙂
I have a Panasonic s5ii L mount camera. I'm thinking of getting a Sigma MC-21 mount converter, so this video was interesting. The 18-35 f/1.8 looks really good. I wonder if the f stop changes when you use a converter. Also, I wonder if the s5ii would be able to autofocus this lens. That's what I'll be looking up next. Thank you for the video.
I wasn’t expecting “this”. Thank you for your honesty. I do not believe in God the way you do, but I understand you. Those things you talk about are universal. I am enjoying your stuff. And I kinda think that there are new experiences and feelings waiting for you ahead. Good luck!

Can you please please tell me where you got the rods that mount to the camera? I have looked everywhere for them and can’t find them. I have a plate with rods but they are too far away from my lens for my rail mounted focus to work. :( If I could find the rods you have it would work perfectly! :)
