Let me solve this for you!!---my 2017 C7 automatic is perfect--why?----i drive it in M mode ONLY using paddle shifters only!!----in that M mode the cylinder deactivation will NEVER EVER be activated no matter what speed or RPM you are in --under any circumstances---drive in paddle shift mode and the C7 will NEVER be in 4 cyl!!---ever!

Love a C7. Last year i bought my first Corvette a 1999 C5 Hardtop, one of about 4000 made in their first year run. Its in pristine, near showroom condition now with 24k miles. Its not my daily driver, so i only put about 5,500 miles on it since April 2023. After i pay it off i want to get a 2016 manual C7 Z51. Tempted to rent one thru TURO, but I'm not close to paying off my C5 so that will have to wait.

I have a 95 chevy Cheyenne and it runs great in park we put in drive and stay for a bit it dies and it has a high idle

I've been considering couple year old supras as a daily, and knowing that these are cheaper actually makes it pretty enticing. I like the tunability of the supra, but the Corvette already starts with higher power too.

Thanks for the help for the 8 4 economy mode. My was missing and making a making a rattle. It scared the crap out me. So bought a disabler. But bought a boost. The main difference is power. It uses less power. And it worked perfectly. No more missing and no rattle.

It's a good thing the car has that four-inch, ugly spoiler to keep the rear end from flying off on its own at 70 mph. As functional as racing stripes.

i just picked up a 2015 z51. i have been watching all the videos about the 4 cylinder kicking in. For some reason mine (automatic) never goes into the 4 cylinder mode or at least it does not show it. it always shows the v8 even in E mode it still displays the v8. any idea what the previous owner may have done to over ride it

I daily drive a Jeep Wrangler, and recently let someone borrow that for the summer - so the C7 is my daily - It's really great - fun, sporty and love the control of the 7 speed manual transmission- very smooth in touring mode - not intimidating in least. Love it.

for me i traded my c7 because i wanted something else nothing wrong with my car but it was starting to get too redneck for my liking. im in debate if i should go for a gt500 dual clutch or a used 2021 gtr

I just did it at 20! Nice C7 with 20k miles. Didn’t think I would like it this much more than the Camaro 2SS but it is a totally different car.

Sport mode is the best for me with my exhaust in track mode

I bought the stage 1 tune from Livernois motorsports, near Detoit, MI. Not only does it cut out cylinder deactivation, but after installing the 160 deg. Thermostatand high flow air filter, it' now at about 490 H.P. it runs amazing, and the shifts are much more firm and responsive. She rips.

I have a manual transmission it doesn't do this if I want to fun that mode I have to manually select it

If you're not tracking it do you think you need the Z51 package? I'm looking at getting a C7, and I'm amazed at the price difference between Z51 and non Z51. I can get a 2019 LT1 non Z51 for the same price as a 2017 Z51 LT2. For me, it's just going to be a summer weekend car.
