King Bypass Shock Polishing: Part 1
👍
Just like O. J. Lol, I watched him go down the 105fwy in SoCal 😅
Looks great! What offset are the wheels you put on it? Thanks
Question, I'm still plated but might go green sticker only. Who did you go through for insurance and are you appraised and full coveraged?
@@anthonylimjoco5958 State Farm and full coverage yes
So sick love it just bought a 65 impala 327 not here yet but damn you did so amazing on this machine props to you! Hopefully i can make it sound like yours
I subscribed because you are keeping the 283 ...
How did u get that wicked creations rear end to work with the nissan tone rings? I dont understand how it all works completely but ive been told by ppl in the past when swapping aftermarket rear axle into nissan trucks it makes the truck go into limp mode?? Have any issues like this?
you have to delete the abs and go into the ecu and remove the error code. Curries had someone make the G2, which has the tone ring. They don't make the G2 anymore but might make the axles with the tone ring. I have the G2 diff works great.
I also have 65’ impala with a 283 and it has those anchors that keeps the motor from torque too much. It’s original
Good lookin' 283, guys! 👍👍Looks right at home.
The motor mount deal was the fact that the factory motor mounts would tear away which caused the engine to rise with acceleration. I guess there were cases where the engine lifted enough to cause throttle linkage to bind.
How much did you spend all together? Got myself a 65 and want to do cam and some head work already have headers and 4 barrel eddlebrock
Cam / lifters / springs / timing set about $450 . Head rebuild $450 so about $900
Also beautiful build i want to do the gloss black with red interior as well going to be doing everything myself i hope it turns out anything close to your build!
@@BajaZay totally worth it thank you for that 🤟🏼
@@clutchxtricks yeah take your time. Make sure you thoroughly inspect the motor before you install any cam. Take a look at the cam bearings. We found out after the fact the cam bearings were falling apart and it’s hard to see without a boroscope tool which you can get in that plugs into your phone on Amazon for cheap. So the motor in the video had to be taken back out. But we decided to go with a bigger cam and swap to a 350 block with a fresh rebuild. I’ll do a update video here soon
runnig spacers on rear ? looks dope bro .🔥🥵⛽🏁🤙🏽
Yes
Have you noticed any issue with vapor Lock
Lovely car got the same one with a 327 keep that original engine bro and all the original crap you take off toss it in a box and keep it ; looks like you got bumper guards too sweet
Dope content son❤
X sounds badass 👌🏾
Badass truck kid ❤
(3:40) The engine mounts were recalled and those were put on by the dealers to keep the mounts from breaking.
Awesome thanks for the feedback!
No problem thanks for watching
What’s up man just wanted to know I bought a 65 I was decoding the vin what’s a good place to get the accurate info
Online there are different websites. Just google “1965 Impala vin decode”
What have you done to the motor?lt? Uprev? What cai is that? Its massive
Just headers, uprev tune, and the cold air is a spectre setup
How are the carbon shocks working? Very interested in your thoughts
Carbon works great so far. We had some growing pains but in reality they’ve corrected any issue I’ve had on spot. They are in a much different spot than one I bought my shocks so I would 100% buy their current generation shocks!
@@BajaZay Nice, I'm building my Titan but had a kid and covid shut slowed down my progress. Gonna look into the carbon bypass. Just completed the 6 spd manual swap and welding up my shock hoop and engine cage next. Hoping to be done by december and back on the road.
@@anthonylimjoco5958 sweet how was that 6 speed swap? I wouldn’t mind doing that as well. No trans issues ?
@@BajaZay I'm about to do another 6 spd swap. Im basically doing what the frontier, pathfinder guys are doing but going in the other direction. Trans to Titan instead of VK56 to frontier. It's been great but the gearing is off, with the auto and 35 i have 4.11 I need 37 or 3.73 with the 35. With 4.11 I have a 4 spd with granny low but my top gear feel like I need another gear. I'm using the nissan pathfinder 1997 clutch pedal assembly. It fit in the tight space and the pedal throw is better than the latest clutch pedal. the swap took me a long time. I learned a lot and hoping this next one goes faster.
@ teach me your ways! You got a Instagram?
Love seeing the progress on the Titan! Can't wait to see what you have coming next!
Looking to do more videos on the titan for yall!
Hey man, your car looks dope! Can you make a video on the grill is supported to the front clip as well as the way the window regulators are positioned? Im working on mine and can't find a good source to rely on. Thanks!
Yessir I’ll try to get that out soon
She was handling business at KOH, looks good dude!
Thanks bro 😊
Trucks looking good dude 👌
Thank you bro
The cables on the front of the motor were a safety recall. Motor mounts on 65 to 70 Chevy's were failing so these were installed at the dealer. I had it done on my 68 Camaro.
Cool Impala ss with he black license plates! Enjoyed it!
Thanks for watching!
Thinking about getting the same lights. But in a 5" yellow for my ditch lights.
I gave away basically everything you added. Intake, carb and fuel pump, comp cam etc etc.. probably 2k worth of parts to youngster doing up his 66. I modified a 69 350 alternator brakets for him also. Helped him do his 350, originally 300hp.. now we believe 370
Damn wish you knew me and gave me that stuff hahahaha
I would've left alone.. you have to look beyond the bling. Their worth more in original as they left factory than switching items out. I've had just about every Impala, caprice and a 57 new and used. From 100 buck ss 64 to brand spanking new 76 caprice. Still have 64 SS rag with all options, 66 gold impala and my favorite a 69 impala custom. All original with under 62k miles on anyone of them. I drive them here and there.. but mainly sit covered in garages.. when ever a part goes out.. I search the net for NOS.. every part that's numbered is rebuilt, hoses are GM stamp..
would you recommend the yellow or white version
Yellow for cutting the dust. White for general lighting
In 75 I owned a 64 I regret getting rid of it. My advice is never even think about selling it.
Do me a favor on your carburetor goes to black plugs in the front of the carburetor the one that is the highest goes to the distributor the lower 1 is manifold vacuum The upper one is distributor vacuum try that out✊️😎
Thanks dude
RUclips hero Getting prepared and you sir are a saint for this video
KEEP IT ORIGINAL 💯
I love 65 coupes but 63’s are my fav.
Gorgeous
Amazing looking hanging on the bumper during the day? Maybe….but do they give light at night?
Fuel injected engines don't like power issues. Cleaning up your electrical issues will help with the way your EFI works. Like your truck! PEACE ✌️

Nice motor but I would have went with a msd street fighter hei distributor like the one I got on my 355 in my 65 I'm excited to c the car when it's done I hope your going to leave on the caps and whitewalls like your dad had 65 Impala are becoming rarer and rarer every day
needs clutch fan and a radiator shroud on it or a set of electric fans other wise looks sharp enjoy it
looks like my Impala nice
1965 is a good choice. It was the year that Chevrolet was rolling out a whole new body style---a longer, and what I consider, "sexier" body style than before. So they pulled out all the stops to make a great supercar their first year. All the way down to the famous, what I consider, badass "six round tail lights"!
Love that sound!!
That engine braking.... Even my 50cc doesn't like it, let alone bike that revvs up to 9k rpm...
