Robert did you ever get this resolved? Your phone is connected to the carlinkit via WiFi so when you connect to the ace pro’s WiFi it disconnects your from carlinkit I use the gps preview remote it will turn 3 cameras on and off at same time Or you could get a non activated cell phone just for the ace pro that’s not connected to the wings apple car play in any way

Those wires I believe are enamel coated on the individual strands. A solvent like acetone can dissolve the enamel so it can be soldered to a connector. Only remove whats needed. I would also use a connector with a built in strain relief. Yes that stuff is a royal pain to work on.

Iceland it is! Can’t wait for the details. Should be on another level as far as trips go.

At aroune 23 min, when you were talking about pulling volts, you meant to say AMPS. Think about it, it's 12 volts nominal and it only pulls 3 amps maximum, which is very little. It's realistically only pulling 1-2 amps most of the time. The charger acts like a 5 volt charger at 1 amp (5W), 1.5 amp (7.5W), 2 amp (10W), 2.5 amp (12.5W, or 3 amp (15W) charger depending on your phone. For iPhone, the max is 7.5W so you don't have to worry about connecting to your accessory wiring, which is thick enough for pretty much all accessories.

The reason it turns off when you turn on the accessory switch is because it now looks for 13.5 volts and if it doesn't see it, it turns off. When the alternator is not running, it won't hit 13.5 volts.

Way to much talking and irevelant material

I own a 1986 Honda gold wing gl1200 interstate model, when I first bought it for $1000 it had some minor issues with it, I got all the bugs worked out, I have to say for a 38 year old motorcycle, that is the best motorcycle I ever owned, I love everything about it, the best low center of gravity,wind protection,storage and the best motorcycle engine I personally ever experienced in my life. I can only imagine how much better the 2024 model is. When honda made the gold wing, they put the absolute best engineering into that machine thats available. I cant find a better motorcycle on planet earth. The quality is so great, I cant imagine riding anything else.

Thanks for sharing, Robert. I'll probably not be on my 'wing for the next week, as I fell backward on a chair during a motorcycle tour in Death Valley & wacked the top & rear of my head. Paramedics patched me up, but I had to ride 270 painful miles back to California, so I could be seen in an ER.
